Really good video. But with cav people always say if you have Nevsky, Joan, William and Huo you can mixed them and always will work. But what would be the better configuration for real?
First, great video. Second, personally for my 3rd Cav March I like Justinian Chandra. Just a lot more tanky and has a nice benefit when I gotta swarm a structure. Personally I’d rather have more stats than XY who just blows up lol

People are complaining that cavs are weak with recent releases. Since cavs dont need march speed and are not high priority targets, you can easily 5 march cavs. the biggest issue is AOE. people forget that even in a non-artifact KvK, HQ/YSG is quite strong. You have the following AOE options: (I dont count XY) Joan P William YSG (remember many skills dont care about troop type) Ragnar Prime (2/3 of the passives and the expertise don't care about troop type) Honda/mehmed Here's an easy 5 march set! Joan P / Mehmed/honda Nevsky / William HQ / Ragnar Prime XY / BP/Mehmed/honda Saladin / YSG
@timtaylor5638 I think because ragnar has a ton of defense to compensate on HQ squishiness. Plus, it throws on a big aoe with a SICK slow down. Like, RIDICULOUS slow down. It would be hard to get away from that extra damage over time.
@timtaylor5638 yeah, he's infantry. But in an artifact kvk, or the new kvk format, he can be manipulated into a cav commander. Pretty sure that's what he's referencing
@@timtaylor5638 it sounds insane i know HQ YSG, artifact or not is actually a thing - and with artifact is nuts RP has; 2800 factor 3 target AOE so be brings BIG damage the drain effect is not troop resticted skill damage reduction and increase is troop based not type limited all you lose is 40% defense but stats bloated from HQ regardless HQ brings TONS of stats, and skill dmg% increase - but no skill dmg reduction. commanders often have 40% of stats. HQ brings 70-75% - meaning; 2 commanders worth of stats in HQ. RP brings what HQ lacks - AOE & skill dmg reduction.
TBH if i see a Joan primary, i'm hitting that first over nevsky or huo. It's often a complete chump check and it's really not very tanky, also you're getting the high damage aoe commander off the field first. only cav comm I'd hit before a joan is XY. You're absolutely right though, at 7 and probably even 6 marches 3 cav is certainly where it's at.
I think that a great idea for discussion is hybrid commander pairs because of how many different options we have in artifact KVKs Example: Atilla/LC Huo/YSG/ZL Anyone/Nevsky
@@WarDaddyChadski I think the interesting thing is that with every new drop the whole meta and possibilities are shaken up a lot. I’ve ran Justin/ZL rallies and ate people up. Atilla/LC in open field is cracked Interestingly the new crop of commanders are not as flexible within the flex-meta (artifact) as some of the older commanders seem to be.
I needed this, everyone keeps telling me to wait for new cavs. However running 3 Cav marchs, and using XY whose jus to Squishy. I have felt like I needed Beli in my lIne up to stay. However I really think Justin is a great choice, I'm really curious why you think Justin is not a good option as when I was gonna get Beli my plan was to replace XY with Justin to go, Nev Joan, Huo Beli, and Justin Willaim
That's exact reason I maxed Justin because he gives everything that xy needs and they are such a powerful march, But xy is always the first one to get targeted
Hey mate, I currently run one cav march working towards a second, I run Nevsky, Beli. I run 5 marches currently 2 inf, 2 archer 1 cav However ive nearly finished Joan through dailies and saving heads for next cav commanders. With those 3 commanders currently available would you still run Joan beli and bench Nevsky? Or some other options Cheers
I would stick with Nev/Beli. You can spin for Joan and slow play her. And then new cav commander. When you ready to go to 6 marches, you add the second cav march.
Hey, what do u think would be the best first cav march to run right now. Also what do u think is best pair with huo, specifically because of his expertise skill not being as great? And then what would be the logical upgrade order/2nd march
chadski have you tested huo with ysg? Always wondered how doing attack focused gear with ysg doing over 50% skill dmg bonus + 100 rage bonus with huos massive dmg + lower rage requirement just amounts to SO much damage you cant ignore the potential? Also just being a cav march you will still escape faster than inf and archers so you wont get caught out. If you haven't tested this I might. Tired of 2 archers in a 6 march so screw it put ysg somewhere haha edit: saw another comment about this now sorry but would love to hear your thought process on this
Hey, I run scipio liu che, ZL Hermann, nevsky joan. I have a 4th march which is cav, i run huo primary but who should i pair him with ? I have mina, mehmed ans ysg expertised with 2x museum buffs. I dont have william, xy, beli P, justinian or any other cav commander. How would you do ?
Many pay to win youtubers states not to invest in gold key commanders, but let be honest is Hard for a f2p to get so many chances to get legendary commanders through golden chest. In your experience could a f2p invest in some gc commanders like 5511 for example? If its possible. Could you name what commanders?
I don't subscribe to the "Don't put heads in Gold Key commanders because you eventually get them". I more subscribe to the notion that you want to utilize those commanders early to actually play the game and be effective early in the game.
