I heard the recorded version first, and thought "how do you do that in the studio?" and it turns out they recorded it in a way they could do live. As a four-piece. Stunningly cool.
As far as live studio performances go that was world class, and it’s not an easy song to pull off in my opinion as it’s very syncopated and slightly off beat almost in parts. It’s very cleverly constructed.
Nah you're not missing much, they were still in their early days here and Johnathan Higgs still struggles to hold some notes. They're still amazing but some performances can be a drag due to slightly fucked up vocals.
