I had to come back to this video to let you know that I just watched Michelle Yeoh on Jimmy Kimmel, and you guys did it so much better!! It's so refreshing to see some authentic people do this. You can tell by the way most of your guests let their guard down. The brand keeps on growing!!!
I’ve never seen the boys more enchanted by anyone they’ve interviewed on the show. Mero’s staring, mouth open, the whole time. They must have just seen the movie. I saw it a week ago and I’m still stupefied. I’d be mesmerized if I could listen to Michelle Yeoh as well.
If they actually know her career (and it seems they do), they know they are in front of a fucking legend. She didn't start with Hidden Tiger Crouching Dragon even though this is kinda of what introduced her to western audiences. And considering *she is* a fucking legend, she's incredibly humble, seems to be always very nice and kind and looks like someone really fun to be around and grateful for her career.
I watched Michelle Yeoh do a career filmography and she teared up talking about this movie because someone saw her complexity as an actress after years of being an "action" or "drama" actress. Love that she's getting her flowers and continues to hit more career highs. This movie is incredible and Michelle Yeoh continues to be sensational.
You can tell the bodega boys were in awe of Michelle cuz they barely cracked any jokes the whole interview. I barely heard Mero laugh, I’m like “oh they in it”. Love D&M, love love love Michelle Yeoh. And the movie is fire
This movie leaves you speechless by the end. My whole theater just sat there in silence wiping away tears for 5min as the credits rolled. I’m sure they were touched by this film.
I'm glad that Mero brought up Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. He was surprised to learn that it wasn't a big budget movie. Overtime, I think people forgot that it was an independent movie and not a major blockbuster budget film. It's still one of the best films made. The cinematography is beautiful.
Michelle Yeoh is a whole Queen and thank you for treating her as such. BIPOC unity is my favorite thing to see. Desus and Mero can make anyone comfortable. They adjust to the guest whilst simultaneously acclimating them to their environment AND being well researched. No one else does it better. I'm done gassing them but I'll never stop being impressed.
Ive awlways respected this woman. She has held her own fighting against the boys for DECADES. Not only her fighting, but also her acting!! She makes u believe her character is REAL and u forget shes acting.
@@DiosanXaquerry she once jumped off a moving truck onto the windshield of another car, no safety equipment, fell off and nearly had her skull crushed and immediately went up on the truck and did it again. She can probably take a hit. She also once landed a motorcycle onto a moving train. That's badass.
Can I just stop this halfway thru and say.... This might be one of they best interviews. For one, shes talking sooo much. A lot of they guest get on here and its like they dont know how to talk to black people. She's killin it. and Desus and Mero finally stfu for once and are just letting her go. This is great.
My favorite part about D&M interviews with legendary thespians like this is they always know the right questions to ask in order for the interviewee to feel comfortable and you can always feel the passion behind their answers. The Brand is Insightful

Just came back from the theater. I have to say this movie was amazing. I never grew up watching kung fu movies but now I’m about to watch all of Michelle Yeoh’s films. she was fantastic.

so thankful for this movie, script and this interview. I live under a rock so I had no idea until now. I was born an Asian lady raised by Asian ladies and we are quite often in our own world and navigate thru the day trying to dodge danger, stereotypes and regret. The multiverse psychedelic aspect of this movie pushes it over the edge and shows me we all do have a story and it’s deserved to be heard. It’s wire work.

Everything Everywhere All At Once is brilliant. Michelle Yeoh and the cast are amazing. I laughed and cried during this movie. It's my favorite movie of the year. I'm so happy that I saw it in the theater instead of waiting for streaming.
What a great interview! Michelle’s co-stars always comment on being surprised by how funny and goofy she is and this interview really showed her wonderful personality.
The editor that decided to switch to a close-up of Mero's face after the "wong wong wong" deserves an Emmy. Also, it was golden comedic timing (and very bodega) when Michelle Yeoh said "twice!"
I saw it on opening night and the entire audience was howling with each other, exchanging glances with strangers at hilarious scenes, and the movie got a standing ovation. I've never felt closer to a room full of strangers after a movie before.

Anyone who’s seen Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon knows and loves this woman. She was such a strong and beautiful character in that. Legend for sure. The boys respected her agency. 🙌🏻
I first noticed Michelle when I watched Yes Madam on TV in the mid 90s. I thought her backflip through glass was amazing and so were her fighting stunts. Police Story 3 was later aired on TV in the late 90s and I absolutely loved that movie. I loved that Michelle’s character was kicking Jackie Chan’s ass. It wasn’t until Tomorrow Never Dies that I became obsessed with Michelle!! I think EEAAO has brought Michelle’s acting to a different level. Evelyn is an extremely ordinary woman that a lot of Asian immigrants can relate to, and topped it off with Michelle’s trade mark martial art stunts. Not only was the movie funny but there is a much more meaningful depth embedded within the relationship between immigrant parents and their locally born kids. It explores the differences in values as a result of a different upbringing. Of course, we all like a happy ending. As a fan of Michelle, it’s great to see there is no slowing of her on the silver screen despite inching closer to her 6th decade. No, she can not take on the grandmother role yet! I hope that Michelle will treat us to another amazing lead lady role in the near future! ❤️❤️❤️ Love you Michelle ❤️❤️❤️!
I first saw Michelle fighting alongside Jackie Chan in Police Story 3: Supercop when I was 4. I loved her in anything she’s done since that film and I’m 22 now and I’m glad to say I grew up watching Michelle Yeoh.

I'm forever grateful for this interview because it left me with enough curiosity to go and watch this movie and I now definitely say this is one of my favorite movies ever. I've seen it 3 times, and each time took new things from it.
I love Michelle Yeoh's work, have followed her for years! Love to see her here in the bodega. My partner and I watched Everything Everywhere All at Once recently and without being shocked or confused by the movie I came away totally mesmerized, impressed, and emotionally affected. We were both in awe and its cast and writing have kept me thinking about it a week later!

She has come so far. A lot of people would figured after Crouching Tiger her career would fizzle out. Those were the casuals. When Shang Chi came out I knew it was gonna be done right. She wouldn't have taken the part if they bastardized it.

everything about Ms Yeoh is stunning. the subtle power and presence she gives(the kind you just feel when she walks in a room or gives you THAT look). her graceful movements, her ability to laugh at herself, and, from all i have read and seen in interviews, her ability to see the good in people. she come across as that classy lady that has a gang of dirty jokes in her head that shes dying to tell you. so happy she is still making movies and being a positive force in hollywood and in the universe
Incredibly intelligent, supernaturally gifted - there's literally nothing Michelle Yeoh can't do, and do brilliantly. She deserves at least 7 Oscars for this performance.
