I am glad that someone is talking about this game in some positivity. It definitely had its problems but I feel it is still a really enjoyable game for the most part.

This is automatically one of my favorite new RU-vid channels now. I love GCN and Daritgan but it is sooooooo nice seeing a channel dedicated to praising things video games do right and being positive.

I’m watching this about 24 hours before the “War for Wakanda” expansion releases. It’s the 2.0 update and I’m really hoping that it resurrects this game to some extent because I really want it to meet its potential.

Bit of a late reply, but: I find it pretty interesting how much you love Iron Man's mechanics/style. At release, it was an almost unanimous opinion that Cap felt the most satisfying & well built. Honestly, is super impressive how the devs made each character feel unique. Even both archers feel very notably different and satisfying to play as. Can't wait to see what they do with Black Panther and Spider-Man!

It's the story and characters that keeps bringing me back to playing the game again and again

I'd say one of the biggest issues is how rushed things can get. Especially in the end, - Kamala talks about her doubts in the resistance, then the resistance shows up - Thor just shows up - There isn't much real build-up of Cap being in the station - The giant Kree robot isn't very set-up outside of them talking about a heat signature that reacted to the Terragin - Hulk and his depressed state over the "death" of Cap isn't delved into and should have had a moment when they discovered Steve was alive All in all, there was so much potential and great things that we could have seen. It was just the presentation that damaged the final product

With the comments on Hulk having a beard and Widow and kids, I'm really wanting you to watch Next Avengers. Anyone who knows what I'm talking about without using a search engine gets my undying respect!

I agree with this. My favourite aspect of the game is the main campaign. Unfortunately they were trying to make 2 huge games in one, when they should've just focused on story or online multiplayer and make a full experience there. I think most of the characterizations are my new favourite versions of these characters though, and I loved that we could finally get something different from their MCU versions since Marvel decided that's all they were going to do (still bitter of that Earth's Mightiest Heroes cancellation...) The gameplay felt built for Iron man - upgradeable moveset and gear just didn't translate to well to the other characters. Although Cap was my favourite to play. I hope we can still get a good MGU going, but maybe it has to be based in the Insomniac Spider-Man games' world. A shame because there's so much I love about this one too...

I really loved and liked Marvel's Avengers video-game because how the game is stacked up with talented, decent, legit, famous, and popular voice-actors & voice-actresses. I really love gameplay, storytelling, and more understandable sense of humor on every Avenger characters.

I’m glad to see someone talking positively about this game. I think the problem with this game was the high expectations. I think it’s a good game. Most, or at least part of the problem, came from boosted expectations from both Crystal Dynamics and the fan base.

Come on!! GameWins,, you too. I'm sure that you know that game is NOT dead, right? For me, it is NOT over yet for Marvel's Avengers video-game because the DLC and remembering the past previous missions keeps it alive, going, and kicking.

I was initially disappointed with this game, but I have to admit that the developers are trying to make it better, they seem to listen to the fans suggestions and are trying to give a better experience. They are also very active on Twitter and are honest with any issues that are presented to them. The Kate bishop DLC was good! The story was enticing and it was great playing as a new character! I’m excited for the new Hawkeye DLC. Also free dlc! I know no one would pay for it if they had to but they could easily wacked a small fortune on it, and for what you get for free is very good!

While I dislike the game for the multiplayer aspects and overall gameplay, I REALLY enjoyed the main campaign and the new iterations of these characters. Their dynamics just feel so fresh and unique and different from the MCU and I'm here for all of it. I would replay the game only for the main campaign.

The game’s lifecycle is at an end sadly, however by the time it dies, they will give us all the custom content that we originally have to pay for. So its a bitter sweet ending.

I feel if anything, the "MGU" we're yet to get is gonna be thanks to Insomniac and their Spider-Man/Wolverine/Iron-Man games. Also Marvels Guardians Of The Galaxy is another great one that could eventually be connected who knows unless Insomniac tries their own hand at them

So hold up, from what I kepy hearing this game was all repetitive, same room missions. From what I see here there is a decent amount of diversity in the settings. Seems like people got a vit hyperbolic just cause AIM is the villian and not every damn alien the Avengers have faced. Might checl this game out

I have to admit, the game turned out...alright. The story was fantastic, free story expansions with more heroes. Game actually have a fair amount of people playing right now, it's still very profitable and Crystal Dynamics is going forward with developing the game. I hope it has a turn around in public perception, and I think if they continue building the story it will. Obviously it has issues, but overall it's fairly good

Come on, everyone!! Please don't say dead because this video-game is really NOT and NEVER dead. I'm impressed and proud of what the game developer Square Enix had achieved and done with the super over-the-top breathtaking action-packed AAA Superhero team-up video-game titled Marvel's Avengers.

Just found your channel and really enjoy it! When it comes to this game, I loved the campaign. After being a bit iffy on all of the pre-release media (like most people), I found Kamala to be the perfect character to introduce us to these versions of the character. In regards to the rest of the game, I know most people say it's dead and, honestly, I could totally see this game not existing in a year, but I've enjoyed the increased transparency from the developers as time goes on. The game's success rests on the shoulders of the War for Wakanda DLC later this year. If it's like a Taken King from Destiny, there's hope. If not, it's the final nail in the coffin. Besides the story, I think the other thing CD nailed was the combat. I can just play missions over and over with different characters because of how fun and distinct they all feel. Thanks again for the video!

I love this game just by its characters alone. They all more comic-ky than MCU. That way, they are more righteous, funny, brutal and so on. Take Cap, I'm big fan of Steve Rogers. And I do love Evans portrayal but this Steve? This is one of the best portrayal. From the how he sound, how he bring himself, how he looks. It checks all the list for me. Yes, he is my main too in this game. Not even bother to level up others 😅

It's like they had two different teams work on this. One for the story and the other for the gameplay

Imo, the story of the game is pretty good and there’s enjoyment to be had, but the gameplay itself (tho I love the way Thor’s hammer and caps shield feel, they feel weighty like they should) and loot system are boring, and endgame content is uninteresting, minus a few things. I still play w friends (which makes it more enjoyable) from time to time tho.

Marvel's Avengers video-game is going to be more than appreciated because you look at the storytelling, it is really very unique with a new original story. The most important fact is that my most crushing on through decades, Natasha Romanoff aka Natalia Alianovna Romanova aka Black Widow, she's still looking soooooooo very beautiful, sexy-hot slender body, multi-talented, highly-intelligent, charismatic, highly-skilled, stronger, and more attractive Marvel Superheroine. Square Enix really cared a lot more about the video-game so it is inevitably alive. Everyone, enough with a "dead" game because I assure to all of those who saying it, no heart, no soul, and no conscience.

I barely knew anything about this game, I saw a couple trailers when it came out and thought it didn’t look great. After it’s released I heard all the criticisms about the monetization and how it was more or less dead on arrival…watching this video shows me that there are things about it to appreciate. I know you more or less singled out its best elements, but that alone makes it seem like a story I want to experience…might grab it on sale.

Here is 2022 just to say the game isn’t ‘dead’. Black panther, hawkeye(s) and Spider-Man. Getting mighty Thor soon too

The graphics and characters design is good...the story is ok too, but the only bad thing about the game is how it's built, i was expecting some free roam like insomniac's Spiderman...that's all i wanted.

This game was great. The problem with it is the promise Crystal Dynamics made. If it had stayed with just the campaign it would have been great and it would avoid all the repetitive missions to increase levels. A surprise DLC would have been great instead of having a calendar showing what we're most likely never get.

While the plot has several issues, the one that makes the least sense to me is how exaggerated A-day's scope is. all that really happens during A-day is that the golden gate bridge is destroyed and several people are killed in the melee or are mutated by the terrigen into Inhumans. Yet, despite that, we're led to believe that this event was so destabilizing that it allowed AIM, ostensibly a mega-corporation specializing in science and security, to take over the entire world like it's the Age of Ultron or the universe of Old Man Logan, with Pym's resistance and later the avengers being the world's apparent last hope at freedom. Considering how dower and dystopic everything is presented you would think that A-Day somehow destroyed the entire global power grid, started a Kessler scenario, and caused an explosion that wiped out all life west of the Mississippi River.

I do agree that iron mans gameplay is the best, it just seems like there is a lot more to it than spamming buttons

First video of yours I've seen and I've gotta say...you got a new subscriber. While I like his work, Dartigan is a genuine knock off of Cinemasins (defects from shoddy production and all), hence why I prefer GCN. But this might as well be a Cinemawins Spin-off cause it hits all the right notes of those reviews.

The cinematics are great. Gameplay is wonky and should've had more work. 7/10 for sure. The cinematics save the game

Re: Kamala’s powers looking weird… They’re meant to look goofy. In the comics, her powers are used as a clever way to look into her internalized racism and inferiority complex. Her powers aren’t pretty or cool to look at, like the heroes she idolizes, but despite all that, she remembers that it’s not the powers that make the hero, but the actions one takes with them.

I just played this game recently after playing Guardians of the Galaxy. Looking to play the Spider-Man games as soon as possible. But I gotta say... I was confused as to why so many people didn't like it. The acting is great, the story could be better, but it allows for cool ass set pieces that make my nether regions engorge. The story is also pretty good, though. And I also liked the gameplay. Every bit of it. Whenever I found myslef struggling, it didn't seem like the game was underdeveloped, or that the enemies were just hard for the sake of being hard, but that I wasn't paying attention to more than a few enemies, or I wasn't oaying attention to health, or I hust never dodged or parried attacks. Replaying the campaign right now to get any collectibles I missed, and I am implementing dodges more, as well as just being better. Not sure I'll use parries outside of the harm room missions where it's required, but it's there if I ever want to use it, I guess. I've played through the first DLC expansion/operation thing and am going to play through the others soon. I hear the Black Panther expansion is the best, so I'm looking forward to that. Also, a little thing that bugs me (though not too much) is that while in cutscenes (either rendered in game or pre-rendered look good to great, the in game or in mission faces and textures (on the characters) are lacking, or are downright ugly. Pay attention to Kamala's face at all times to really see it. And pay attention to whenever her hands show up on screen by themselves. Looks like someone ripped a model from a PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 game on some occasions. But overall, I'm not too disappointed with the game, and am actually really enjoying it and surprised how negative the opinions and reviews I've heard are. And not in the Halo 5 way, where I liked the game, but can see its flaws without lighting my copy on fire and insulting everyone who disagrees with me. This game is just genuinely great. I actually kind of prefer it over Guardians in many aspects. The story is better, the gameplay is better, the rewards (other than in game currency) feel like rewards, and there are no choices that ultimately don't impact the ending of the game like with Guardians (because Avengers doesn't have choices at all). Guardians does have choices that reverberate through the game, but they don't change the ending. And even if they did, the only other endings are results of the wrong choice in the moment. Like letting Peter embrace the promise versus fighting it. Though the character stuff is definitely one thing Guardians has that Avengers doesn't. Avengers has good character, but it doesn't have great character moments. Regardless, I am looking forward to playing the rest of the DLC, playing any future DLC content, unlocking all the free costumes, and hopefully not giving in to the microtransaction to get the other outfits or speed up the process of getting the free ones. That's probably the one thing I dislike about the game. That is has microtransactions. I don't mind that much, because I never use them, but eneyone who includes them in their games is a little scummy. So I guess it's a goood thing that Eidos and Crystal were sold recently, because that decision might have come from Sqaure Enix themselves.
