I really love how their chemistry bounce off each other, sometimes too much banter and forced comedy would be exhausting in other games, but not for Uncharted.
2:25:43 (A novel's worth of text, sorry) just my personal opinion but I will never see James' perspective or sympathize with him. The logic of "they're peaceful and still live just differently" that he has is wild to me because the same could be said for the fish the students hunt, or the dog Clem had to kill in S2. When he was sharing his beliefs with Clem and AJ at the campfire i was fine, I think letting AJ see what everyone around him thinks and figuring out what he believes on his own is a good foundation for his critical thinking skills. It would've been nice to see others respect one another, despite having different ways of life and understanding it's not all black and white with how someone thinks. But ironically, James, who is so eager to share his beliefs to anyone who listens, is the one who gets upset whenever someone has a different idea from him and tries to surprise adopt AJ. I think I hate James as a character who brings in a new concept was the game trying so hard to make the viewer sympathize with James. I love the scene with Tenn so much, that was a perfect way to go "hey sometimes we feel bad for the walkers bc past lives" and not "Don't Kill Zombies Or You're A Bad Person". The option of not killing the walker at James' campfire was also nice because it was the best option regardless if Clem's a whisperer or not, it's way better to lure a walker away than fight it and risk AJ hurting his injuries even more. Which shows SOME of the beliefs the whisperers has isn't all bad, and there's nuance to it. Those scenes feel like completely separate to James' whole plot point honestly, I know they aren't but they're done in a greyed and fleshed out manner, whereas anytime James tries to be persuasive, it's just black/white preaching so they FEEL like different messages to me. I can't take him seriously, anytime he shows up with what I know now I just roll my eyes and getting feel immersed at all. I know some people did and I'm glad people can like him as a concept, even if they dislike his character. Glad for people who like both concept AND character. But I can not enjoy both and I don't get it. (Also I know the whisperers are bad guys in the show and afterwards the cast use their knowledge to survive, showing that not all of their ways were horrible, it was just used for evil and seen in a black/white standard, and I love the portrayal of the whisperers in the show because of this. I'm not saying James shouldn't have been antagonistic. It just wasn't executed well in my opinion. It felt more like rage bait than engaging/meaningful.)
Love the nod to the Spectacular Spider-Man when the Symbiote fights the Sinister Six all while Peter is still asleep, while having no recollection of what happened.
Worst part is that in those H2A terminals, the heretic is a close friend to 'Vadam, but he still tries gunning him down even though he could have probably talked sense into him. Especially with how things end up.
I don’t know if I’m just special for missing the fact that Gabe and Mari WEREN’T Kate’s biological kids?!?!? How on earth did I miss that. I guess I should’ve paid more attention to this season
How u know whst Avery did was true!? Was u there let me guess because he's white so it must be true. U don't know if that shii is true are not none of u ppl was there.
There's also a callback to G1 when you're fighting with Hoffman: G1- Will we have air support? What? You ARE the support son G2- we're gonna need air support here ASAP! Hey colonel, I guess we are the support huh? Looks that way sergant
Missed a win for my fave joke in the series during the New Hope segment: Not seeing, hearing-some guy's controlling the security systems. Hostile? Annoying Sounds like you have it under control
One of the underlying themes in this game series is that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Every move the COG makes ends up making something worse come from it. The Lightmass bomb causes Rust Lung, flooding the hollow causes the lambent to move up to the surface and further corrupt and contaminate the world, and the third game caused the fourth and fifth games nobody wanted.
The stadium was Mile High they even showed the Chair Force Academy and Red Rocks Amphitheater. Lots of stuff here in Colorado. Kinda fun to explore your post apocalypse state.
I playec WaW and MW2 around the same time 8 years ago WaW was way superior to MW2, it is just real, too real, unforgiving, brutal, unfortunately the same horror of WW2 is being performed by the IDF on Gaza this very day. 😭
Infinite is by far the best of the 343 games, but it had serious problems at launch, with multiplayer, and with some aspects of level design, such as how repetitive the design is in most Forerunner tunnels. Yes, Warship Gbraakon is brilliant, yes, the open world is great, and yes, the Weapon is a great character in spite of being a Cortana clone.
343 did the right thing when they backed down from their idiotic plans. I only wish the same happened to the much worse "Halo" streaming show. And Star Wars. Yes, I know Abrams tried to backtrack a bit in Ruse of Soywoker, but he didn't undo NEARLY enough. Granted, Ruin Johnson ruined so much that Abrams probably couldn't have fixed it all if he tried, but it still wasn't enough. The point is, 343's plot involving Gwen Stacy turned Hitler- that's basically what happened to Cortana- was so horrible that it had to be aborted. IIRC, they've even backed off on what we saw in Halo 5 (and Infinite) as BEING Cortana, and it was just another rampant personality spike. Cortana died in Halo 4 and I'm willing to die on that hill.
Just to be clear, the covenant fleet coming in the end of Long Night of Solace is NOT all supercarriers. Most are smaller ships, but at least another 2 are in fact, supercarriers like the one Jorge blew up.
Suggestion from someone who is hard of hearing just discovering these videos: could you please make the "ding" sound of each Win a bit louder? I enjoy knowing when something is winned without having to be watching the corner. TY<3
Arthur deserved a dead Micha to hang on his wall if he didn’t get TB and made him too weak, but I’m glad his half brother, John Marston killed the legendary rat in the epilogue {R.I.P my Arthur Morgan, he may have been a bad man, killed and robbed for the gang but he still deserved better}
This series was my first game next generation game (going from ps2 to 4. I got the drake collection.) I feel in love with this series. Hard. I think it's the humor mixed with the intense moments that makes me love them all.
I did not expect a channel called GamingWins to get sincerely profound and make me feel genuine emotion with their closing thoughts of Season 1, but here I am.
Another thing that makes Jane leaving AJ in the car worse is that Kenny and Clem might never have found him there, meaning she was probably content with leaving a newborn infant to his fate, or she was just confident that Clem would shoot Kenny
I remember Uncharted 3 being my first Uncharted game, both to play and to beat when I was younger, and it continues to be my favourite. Should I have been playing it at 5 or 6 years old? No, but damn this game was too good to stop little me from playing it all the way through.
Just no man nothing is great about it except the cutscenese sorry....... OK ill also give them the flash being funny as heck but that's it............................. FINE I'll give the good bye to arkam batman cause my heart isn't stone and he was the best
So possible fun fact, at 19:18 Anton picks up a record for jazz music which I am pretty sure was his mom’s music because during the last mission where you storm the tower to kill Anton there is a small area that is kind of like a tiny museum. In that area there is a case with a picture of his mom that talks about her being a jazz singer and such before marrying Anton’s father. I think it is extremely sad as well that he listens to his mother’s music as he tells his son that his mom died.
