I believe the reason they imported the Salmon from Norway is because it's most likely been farm raised and has a lot more nutrients. I could be wrong, but I do know that professional sushi chefs and masters would only source their seafood from locations that make sure their fishes contain lots of vitamins and omega fatty acids. There has been some news that seafood places would serve "salmon", but really it would be like rainbow trout, so you'd be getting scammed.
