Everything I Ate for the First Time in New Zealand 

As a kiwi its nice to know that some nice people live in our country

As a kiwi, I love it when I see someone go to NZ and post about it, it sort of lets me know that we haven’t just disappeared in the eyes of the world, sort of like how some maps just don’t include us, hope you enjoyed Auckland (coming from someone who had lived in Auckland their whole life)

The lime thickshake!!! Obviously this is all kiwiana, but that lime thickshake in the giraffe cup is just too nostalgic.

A lot of foreigners come here and don’t even eat half as good as you guys did. They just don’t find the good places a lot of locals know. You guys are the Lucky ones!

The fact that I live in Auckland and I haven't tried the majority of these foods is just depressing. Also you make all these foods look way better than they actually do.

At the bakery called Richoux pattaserie is my uncle's bakery in Eleserlie!!! I contacted my cousins, and they confirmed it!! I hope you love those pies because they worked hard! To confirm it, it was near a 2 dollar shop and a train station❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ NO CAP

meat pies are great almost wherever in NZ you are, but the suburban bakeries always have the best ones. A steak and cheese pie from a rickety old bakery in the middle of a suburb with a nephew taking your order is going to *blow your mind* hope you enjoyed your visit!

I live in the South Island in a small town called Otautau, it is near Invercargill, but yes, i am glad someone has finally recognized New Zealand

That pie shop is literally a short walk from where i live. It's on the main street of Ellerslie. Definitely worth a visit for anyone in Auckland looking for a good pie.

For anyone who is wondering. The reason that there are no “NZ” restaurants in other countries is that New Zealand is a very native place. Anything that is only here stays only here.

Traditional Maori food was not chicken or lamb meat because they didn't have anything like that food before the European people arrived and saved them from starving the European people came with potato and other vegetables and all other meats.

As a kiwi was surprised too busy looking up food in other countries. But this video hit right on the mark! Every dish just omg from start to finish amazing

Hey I live in naukland it’s so nice to know that some people think that this country is breathtaking but people that live here sometimes take it for granted and don’t realise how beautiful it is

I so love tourists. It is how we meet some Canadians that came down the East Coast of the Bay of Plenty and were walking along the beach. They asked what were doing for the day and we said diving and fishing. They joined us and had a blast as we showed them a bit of Kiwiana. To this day we are still friends and are in contact on a regular basis. They in turn showed us hospitality when we were lucky enough to go over 2x. Love Canada and the people there are just as lovely as Kiwis.

There have always been direct flights from LAX To AUCK. For a long time you had to go through LAX to get to SFO. Anyways my favourite pie shop is Mount Richmond Bakery. I love steak pies and they don't skimp on the steak. Pepper Steak, Steak and Mushroom Steak and Cheese.

As a half Māori currently living in Auckland, it was great to see someone actually try a wide variety of our foods instead of just the pies (however they are very good).

L&P is a drink found only in New Zealand and easement mentioned here and there is a high chance especially in rural places your fish n’ chips or other seafood was caught same day/day before
