I did this for 6 months/ year and developed a bunch of autoimmune illnesses after (I also meditated did yoga, sports, socialised with 80 hours a week work). Now I can't really work much at all. I realised I was living off of adrenaline and then when I did come down with an infection my body didn't have any more adrenaline to give. So just from my experience, yes you can do this if you want but just be careful. Maybe I just have bad genes but my biased opinion would be if you can, please don't do so much, it's not worth it.

I also went through the same thing and my body broke down too. However, Lamide has slotted time for taking Vitamins. Many of us don’t and I wasn’t consistent in that area. People should just be sensitive to their body and not go overboard with work.

this video really called me out. as a student, planning my time is such an issue for me and i waste way too much time/get distracted easily. the fact that you work 12hrs AND still find time to have a side hustle completely amazes me. definitely not the life i want to live, but the planning part is very inspiring nonetheless, i'm gonna go get my 💩 together

I work in healthcare so my situation is a bit different, rather than a side hustle my priority is making sure I have time outside of work to do things I enjoy for myself, get at least 8 hrs of sleep, and a bit of time for studying. It was super helpful to see the hours broken down like this, and I think being more methodical in how I organize my time will help me feel less burnt out and like I never have time to do the things I want to do.

I just did the first exercise and was absolutely heartbroken to realize how little free time I have. No wonder I feel burnt out. I watch a lot of RU-vid😆 which is why I thought I had a ton of free time, but the more I think about it, I'm usually doing something else (like cooking) while watching. I guess I need to scale back expectations of myself. I know that wasn't the intent of your video, but I guess I'm not wasting as much time as I thought.

But I love it when I clock out for the evening and have absolutely nothing to do 😊 I watch movies, edit photos from my camera and listen to music. It’s the best thing ever. This makes sense to me, I am trying to be better at my time. Currently, I am working from home and my working hours are from 5am-2pm, I have an hour lunch break during my shift and I use that for my workout currently doing pilates. I also have two 15 minutes breaks inbewtween so I use those to watch language classes for a new language I am studying as I committed to 30 minutes. After my shift I take an hour break, and after spend 2-3 hours studying. When winding down for the day watching a drama relaxes me and I am done for the day. But I am struggling with remaining fully concentrated when studying, but honestly doing the math when figuring out what needs to be done is so much more practical.

I really enjoyed your video but one thing I struggle with is how to schedule B type and C type tasks. What about the time it takes to get to work and back? What about cooking, grocery shopping? Do you have any tips for estimating the time these sort of activities take and how to minimize it?
@PIC0630
@PIC0630 2 года назад
I struggled with this too. I would always underestimate how long certain tasks actually take so I started timing myself and eventually got a realistic idea of how long things take. I recommend adding 15 minutes to everything since not everything goes as planned and it also give you time to transition from one thing to the next.

my question is, when do you take time to see friends, go out, work out, family, dating? I live 2hrs from my family and they want me to visit a lot. Also I have friends who want to spend weekends with me and I go on dates, because I want to meet someone. All of this is super time consuming... And what happens if you cant sleep one night and it turns your whole schedule around. I frequently have trouble sleeping at night which leaves me with a lack of energy

I was about to say "that's impossible", but once I did the math, it is do-able. Still, YOU'RE A BREAST. You get 168 hours. Subtract 100 for your work then you have 68. Then subtract 49 hours of sleep, then you have 19. Let's say you get 15 minute breaks to eat and you eat 2 times a day, that's 30 minutes which is about 3.5 hours taken away. Then it may take you 30 minutes to work out 3 days a week. That's another 1.5 hours. Then you take about 15 minutes to get ready every day. That can be about 2 hours for the week. Then grocery shopping, and cooking (if you meal prep) can take anywhere from 1-3 hours from your week. Let's stick to the middle and choose 2 hours. Then let's say travel is 20 minutes back and fourth and you only need to travel 4 days. That is about another 1.5 hours. That 19-3.5-1.5-2-1.5 =10 hours left to do extra stuff for the week. That is about 1 hour a day to yourself. Of course multi-tasking can cut things down. You really inspired me to schedule my life more. I am productive, but I have been living my life on autopilot. Same boring unfulfilling routine and not much progress since c-19.

How do yo add to do lists to your calendar in notion?
@jennifer_who
@jennifer_who Год назад
Great breakdown of showing how possible it is to use your spare time productively! One thing I'd like to point out though, is the calculation of 'free time' does not include things like preparing food, or doing general upkeep stuff like laundry, cleaning home, personal hygiene etc. Not to mention if you commute to and from work or have a daily exercise routine. That can easily add up to at least 4 hours per day for the average independent person - surpassing the allotted 2 hours per day misc time in the calculations. Of course you can chose to hire someone to help with some of those tasks or eat take-out, so it then becomes a toss-up of either spending money on help, or spending your time doing the things (and the opportunity cost associated with either decision).
@Lamideelizabeth
@Lamideelizabeth Год назад
I actually do have all of those things included, I just haven’t broken them out because it gets tedious, for example my work time includes the time it takes for me to get ready and get to work. I usually start work at 9.30. I also tend to go to the gym during the working day as well as my gym is at work
