Full meal information:
1. Pre-practice: Big Bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios+ 4 strawberries & whole milk: 558 calories
2. Post-practice: Gatorade Vanilla Protein Shake + 2 brownies: 856 calories
3. Breakfast: 5 strips of bacon, 4 eggs, 2 potatoes, 2 biscuits, toppings & whole milk: 1979 calories
4. Lunch: 8 slices of Papa Murphy's pepperoni pizza & protein shake: 2680 calories
5. Dinner: 2.5 servings spaghetti and meat sauce, 3 slices garlic bread, Caesar salad: 1864 calories
6. Dessert: 3 brownies, 5 scoops ice cream & cone: 1452 calories
7. Protein smoothie: whole milk, protein, berries, chia seeds, greek yogurt: 870 calories

I hope that since four years have passed, you’ve learned how to eat healthier. We are only as healthy as the choices that we make. You could substitute every single thing that you eat with a healthier option. It’s almost like you do it out of sheer laziness. Like I said, I hope you’ve learned how to make better choices.

I don't understand how so many skilled athletes eat all that damn food but don't look bloated 24/7. I still can't figure that out yet. I want to get more serious with my martial arts training but I can't because every time I eat above 2000 calories, I feel too full because of slowed digestion. Do you have any videos on this kind of stuff?

Meal timing is super important I’ve found. For me it’s crucial not to eat a meal within 3 hours of training otherwise I’ll feel bloated during the practice and it’ll be hard to eat after. So if I have a double practice I’ll eat a big meal after the first one then an early dinner after practice and a late dinner around 9 pm. If you’re working on gaining weight it’ll be tough for the first month or so as you work to stretch your stomach but after that it’ll get a lot easier and you won’t feel bloated all the time.

@@DerekMaas Ok that makes sense. I want to gain 5 pounds to make myself a flyweight. Currently have to eat 2200 to maintain my weight with 1 hour training per day. I have all these other health issues like lactose intolerance and sleep apnea that fuck things up further. But I'll try to space things out when I'm trying to get bigger. And damn it looks so intense eating 10 k calories a day. That seems like half the battle. Must be a separate sport for just the eating aspect of things.

@@dixonlineberger3312 yeah it totally is. This past year I fell off on eating a lot, ended up losing over 20 pounds and really struggled to perform so I’ve had to focus a lot on what I’ve been eating to start gaining the weight back. Little things like switching out water for whole milk and making sure to eat a late meal can make a big difference.

As a 13-14 year old who has swim training 4 times a week for about 1 hour and a half per session, how many calories should I be eating?

Really depends on your metabolism but I would estimate around 3k calories per day, specifically eating a lot after swim practices

@@cwfduty I’d say eat less especially when you are not training on a certain day. As for when you are training, eat enough quality foods to continue gaining muscle but not too much to put on fat.
