I really hope you enjoy this video. I had such fun at my very first Yarn retreat. If you want to come with me, make yourself a nice drink, and at the end you will see the colourway I dyed. Please comment what you would call it! There may be a small prize involved! (Thank you Dianne!)
💕😀xx thanks Ashley. Great vlog. I’d call your GORGEOUS yarn. Autumn mushroom. I’m not surprised you won the prize. You’ve obviously got a real feeling for colour. 🥰
Oh Ashley what a treat to see you and relive the weekend through your podcast. My heart was so full after I left the retreat and you have just filled it again. It was a wonderful weekend and I hope to be back all the way from Texas soon! Sorry you got sick and hope you are feeling better ❤️
@@diannemassie2169 it was a pleasure to meet you and I’m thrilled this video helped you relive joyous times with a bunch of lovely ladies 🤗😘 Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment xxx
Hi Ashley glad you’re feeling better. Loved watching your retreat looked packed with loads of things to do and see . Love the colours you dyed . Some beautiful yarn you have there. I would call your dyed yarn , scrumptious. It’s very pretty tfs xxx
It was lovely to see what you got up to at the retreat and the yarn that you dyed is absolutely beautiful! You came away with lots of other goodies, too - though not so good to have picked up Covid and I really hope that you’re beginning to feel better again. ❤
Hi Ashley Really enjoyed watching this. It was a lovely experience wasn't it? Your dyed skein deserved to win! I seem to have escaped the Covid thank goodness. Sorry you were so unwell. Hope you feel better soon. Happy knitting x
Looks like u had an amazing time at the retreat. Love the colour of ur skein, i would definitely buy it. Was thinking of the name Misty Moon. Take care lovely xxxxxx
So glad I found your video. My friend Debby and myself are going on the last retreat and we are really looking forward to it. Even more so now that you have shared your time there. Hope you are feeling better. I too have had covid (first time) and it does floor you. Love your yarn dye. Reminds me of frosty cobwebs . ❤
@@shirleysherratt5378 oh thank you so much! You will have huge fun, I ‘m sure you will thoroughly enjoy it! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment, I hope you will come back soon 🤗🙏🤓
I follow lay family yarns here on RU-vid, looks like a great weekend! I’d called the skein of yarn that you dyed ‘frosted heather’, because it has muted purples with some bluey/cream colours 😄
Your colourway, especially the inspiration photo, epitomizes "Shabby Chic" to me. So that's my name for that gorgeous skein. Also, I think that your colourway would be a great main colour for a colourwork sweater with as many of the minis from the other retreat participants. Then stripey socks with the remaining minis.
What a wonderful experience. Your yarn is beautiful and it reminds me of crushed sea shells so perhaps Porthcurno would be a good name? You did well winning all those other skeins as well, plus your own mix may be sold in the shop! That's a great experience. Thank you so much for sharing and I do hope you will soon be feeling much much better xxx
Amazing video Ashley! Looks like you had an amazing time dying yarn and having lovely food and hotel room! I love your purchases and completed yarn! I think I said before I did a one day yarn dying workshop a few years ago, and I can remember the buffet we ate at lunchtime more clearly than the yarn dying! 😂 I did make an orange/brown colour like that shown in your video. I love the earrings, I would call your yarn moonstone! Hope you have recovered now x
OMG Ashley! You were only 5-10 mins away from where I live! It’s the River Severn that runs through Ironbridge/ Coalport 😊.Glad you had a great time…shame about your ‘pressie’ of covid though 🙈X
@@OneStitchAfterAnother-kx1qy My brother lives there…he rents though.Mom used to have a bungalow there, but unfortunately got flooded even though had a huge garden it seeped up under the lawn etc,and since barriers have been deployed it makes the opposite side worse 🫣,so moved away….trouble is with stuff on your doorstep, prob don’t appreciate 🙈.I had a shop there too 😊X
Great video! So glad you had a wonderful time and had so much fun! Great purchases too! Love your yarn, it is gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing, take care x
Looked like you had a good time as well as the other people that were there. You got some beautiful yarn and dyed some beautiful yarn. I would have no idea what to name your yarn. If you had lined up everyone’s yarn and asked us to guess yours I would have missed it. When they were passing out the yarns I thought for sure one of the green ones would have been yours or one that had blue and green.
What a wonderful, joyful podcast. It was so obvious how much you enjoyed everything, The yarn you dyed is so delicate and pretty, and having a mini skein from all of the other attendees is fabulous. I am very much an autumnal girl, so the Fallen Leaves skein of yarn is right up my alley. Jinny
Wow Ashley, what a wonderful weekend retreat I have ordered lay family yarn Christmas advent this year for the first time as I have bought yarn from their wonderful company in the past... your colorway is so Beautiful I would buy some of that... Love it.. I felt when I saw it reminded me of walks in the park in winter I would call it frosted walk , so sorry you got unwell from the dreaded COVID when you got home so glad you are on the mend... looking forward to your makes with your great yarn haul... take care x x
