I still replay both games just to make sure that even in these trying times, to know I still have the my heart through it all. The ending of will of the wisps still fucks me up to this day, 3 years later.
if there's another ori's game, i doubt it's gonna be the same "Ori" because he turned into a spirit tree. But the sequel show that there will be another spirit to be in the next story
Didn't Moon Studios still develop WotW? 0.0 I'm really not 100% sure, but I think they did? Or do you mean that Microsoft has the final say in whether or not there's another game in the series? ^^@@matijamaksan4344
Ori finally getting some recognition. I saw this game on sale and bought it. No game had made me cry until this one. Edit: Yes I played the blind forest first
These need to turn into films! I'm going to school for TV/Film and once I know how to write a script, these games are the ABSOLUTE FIRST TWO THINGS I AM WORKING ON AND PITCHING IN
Ori games are great! yea theyre not perfect and have few issues but everything you talked about in this video is true. theyre games that gives you a great experience and joy. highly recomend to anyone
It is actually perfect but the game is a bit difficult at times to times but i don't think i would say it is bad because of that and if you are saying about some glitches that occurs then i think it got fixed in the newer updates so.
@@ArunaTwTyes i used to study or sleep listening to the ost it is so calm but in reality it makes the game so much better since it matches the atmosphere so much part of it makes me remember crash twinsanity levels like the acid level which would make you hear pipes sounds in the ost but ori is better at that
And that's why I wouldn't want a 3rd chapter, I'm satisfied with what they've done. If they have no other ideas for ori’s franchises, that's fine . Moon Studios in fact is now working on another IP
Ori and the will of the wisp make me cry. I finished this game, and I literally cry every single time, and I just wanna plop on my bed and continue crying every video of this, every time I play this, every time I talk about it or listen to the music I cry I'm way to emotional for this game I think skyrim and Ori and the will of the wisp are my top favorite games of all time
WotW’s ost was the OST to get me into game OSTs in the first place. If it weren’t for RU-vid recommendations, I probably would’ve found this gem much later
And in case anyone was wondering the song is an original soundtrack from Ori and The Will of The Wisps named Escaping the Sandworm. It's one of my favorite soundtracks from the game. The game is a spectacle and highly underrated and I 100% recommend it to everyone.
This game made me cry bc it was such a great game and the ending it was the best ending I have ever seen 10/10 game will play again and the boss battles are cool like mora or shriek
It is indeed an amazing game! It’s cool that you like the exact same games as me. HK, WotW, BotW and MC are amongst my favorite games. Would you be willing to think about ranking the areas or bosses in Will of the Wisps? That would be awesome. There’s very little of those rankings videos on youtube. Especially the area one.
@@tomascrosson7111 they are all really awesome games! Would you mind telling me what the other games in your top 10 are? It seems we kinda have the same taste in games so maybe I can try the games you like a lot which I havent played yet :)
@@OrangeStaringCat Sure: 1. Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (& BOTW because why not) 2. Persona 5 Royal 3. Ori and the Will of the Wisps 4. Super Smash Bros Ultimate 5. Metroid Dread 6. Minecraft 7. Hollow Knight 8. Animal Crossing: New Leaf 9. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga 10. Nintendo Land
@@tomascrosson7111 thanks man! I haven’t played your 2nd, 5th, 8th, 9th and 10th pick. I’ll watch the trailers of those games and see what I think about them
I love this game series. It has a great story, has great visuals, and a great soundtrack. I can usually get emotional when it comes to some sad moments in games, but both “Ori and the Blind Forest” and “Ori and the Will of the Wisps” managed to get me to tear up a few times and I want their to be a third game. Sadly from what I heard I don’t think there will be a third game.
If you actually haven't noticed, the 2nd game's ending is a loop that plays back into the first game. It allows you to go back and replay the first one again because ori becomes the spirit tree. I've beaten both games roughly 10 times each and I have never cried as much as these games both did
Ori was my reintroduction to gaming. I absolutely love the games. I really hope we get a third ori and it be son of ori or something of the like. The story telling is good, cried at the end of will of the wisps
@@deropige1317 idk man hollow knight is fucking nuts. I can see this game being indie, but hollow knight literally changed the metrovenia genre. Ori is an amazing and unique experience, but it is not the best indie game, at least in my opinion.
i played Both Ori games on stream (unfortunatly i didn't save Blind Forest's VODs) but WOTW i did save and currently editing Ori 2 and my god the this game made me cry twice!!
I adore this game as well. It is the most beautiful game I have ever played. The only flaw is that some sections become tedious pixel-hunting. Some solutions to puzzles are so hyper-specific it requires looking at a guide and memorizing one precise sequence instead of organic exploring.
It's a lovely game and easily one of the best in the "Metroidvania" genre. Enchanting music, gorgeous environments, a touching story, and gameplay with a uniquely acrobatic feel to it that makes the platforming puzzles and escape sequences a blast to play through. The combat challenges are passable, but not among the game's standout features. The overall difficulty is moderate and in an unusual move for a genre that tends to punish failure severely, Ori autosaves on the go and there is no death penalty of any kind. Of particular note are the timed spirit trials, escape sequences, and puzzles that require the player to employ Ori's brilliant acrobatic skillset which includes innovative mechanics like bash and sand burrow/dash along with the tried and true grappling, wall jumping, double/triple jumping, and air dashing.
How was the story so fucking perfect and it kept getting better and better with each second?? Amazing writing and story and pacing, man. 10/10 game much better than the already amazing predecessor
The Ori soundtracks were some of Gareth Coker's best works, imo. It's so good I'll play Gareth Coker on shuffle, knowing that about 50% of the tracks are going to be Ori, so I know it'll be good. I never played Ark or Immortals, but Gareth makes them sound good with his personal touch, and sticking with Aeralie Brighton for the vocals (same as for Ori) was a good choice, her voice is beautiful ❤
I just finished the story and all i have to say is that, everyrhing i love about it is... Well... Everything. Its literally the closest to perfection a game can get
Its amazing the way It is, for me there is no need for a third part, It ends perfectly and thats the way we have to remember It. Let them do new things, No rest for the wicked Im sure is gonna be a new amazing story with a new feeling to it. Life is fullfilled when experiencing new and gorgeus stuff, never stuck on the same, thats the beauty of being alive!
bro why are you not counting the bosses and chases? i had the most stressful game moment of my life at tentacle monster chase. these are absolutely awesome too
I don’t think its better that the first one but is an amazing game. I think for me it goes The blind forest, hollow knight, will of the wisps, symphony of the night, then super Metroid ect. But yes an absolute masterpiece
I have played out Ori and the blind forest recently, so i downloaded will of the wisps as well, but after 30 mintues of playing i didn't find it near as good as the first one. i don't know, the first game felt more like a game i can play just to relax, and to explore, rather than a lot of in-game communication with npc's, or fighting huge bosses that kills me in an instant. i like try harding games and great story line games don't get me wrong, but for Ori, i think that the first game was more on point for what it's supossed to be played as
GOTY contender for a reason and it's a literal masterpiece in the art department, i couldn't play it again cuz it'll just make me cry... love this game so much Q.Q
I honestly think the game is fine as is. If there’s another one it won’t be Ori and I don’t know if it’ll be as good with moon studios not involved. I think the idea of the game ending showing another spirit being born - continuing the cycle is better left up to the imagination of the gamers. Since it would just be another restoration of a land and rebirth of another tree (the cycle).
I think ori 2 sufferes from boss fights, in 1st ori game the combat wasn't a main focus and in the 2nd game as well but when it was time for boss fights someone like me who enjoyed platforming more than combat was punished because we get no damage on bosses
I love this game so much. As much as I adore Hollow Knight and it’s combat system and bosses and despite the number of hours I’ve sunk into P5, I think I love WotW even more. This is the game that got me into meteoidvanias and every corner of it is beautiful
These games were easily the best Xbox exclusives. Microsoft really tripped themselves up by not keeping this studio around. Apart from some Nintendo games, this was my favorite game of the 8th gen.
Wait a second i may have a theory about this game and its link to ori and the blind forest the ting is that when ori sacrifices himself in the end of ori and the will of the wisps then, the spirit tree(ori) gives a new life to himself and by that time the enviorment of the area changes and the builder or the miners and the whole windswept wastes come together and build all of the obstacles for ori and the blind forest and this is why ori 3 will not be released😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
