What a great opportunity to see Europe. And on a motorcycle. You will see parts that the typical traveler would never get to enjoy. Then on your days off camera you guys enjoy this time together. Looking forward to the video's😊

Jess, I hope you have a wonderful time, my only concern with your new jacket is the vents don’t look that big and the temperatures could hit 40c. I hope I’m wrong. Bavaria is a wonderful place and you should have a fantastic time.

Wow seems like a dream trip! Have a blast! We will definitely be following along! Thank you for talking about packing clothes and toiletries. I recently packed for a short trip and found that my normal 'shave kit' was too big for the room I had left in the hard bags on my RGU. I broke it down to necessities and found a compact bag that I picked up from the dollar store a while back. I had all kinds of - not normal motorcycle trip - stuff with me for this run. Tools, lawn tractor tire, plumbing parts, and a few pieces of construction hardware. So that's why I had to pack regular stuff so lightly. So again. I was curious about what other riders do. Back to the dollar tree I went to grab travel size toiletries for my motorcycle shave kit.

One thing I'd grab is those bags that you can remove the air from to compact them. You can get your clothes down to an inch or less using those for more storage room.

Good luck and safe travels HTW! My wife and I got to travel outside of the US last year with a trip to London (and a day in Paris) with my best friend and his wife! Looking forward to the videos and pictures!

Sounds like a great trip. Not sure about Harley Jacket though. They don't make them so QC is an unknown. Klim is still # 1 as far as im concerned. You will have a great time regardless of gear choices.

Hello Jess, if you and your husband land in England, you will cross the North Sea and perhaps end up in the city of Calais or another coastal town. Then you will cross my country France to go to the French Alps. Which cities does your journey pass through? Maybe not far from our house! yes, a clarification, my wife and I own a Harley Dadvison "Sportglide". So if our paths cross or if you encounter the slightest problem in this crossing between "Harleytists" mutual assistance is essential. See you soon and look forward to reading it, all the best. Enjoy the Alps are great the Stevlo is good but might still not be open due to height. Must admit I take my lid as hand luggage to ensure the lid isn't damaged, although flying to EU is a short hop for UK, but I do prefer to ride, via tunnel to France or Ferry to Netherlands 😊 It will no doubt be an experience doing the tunnel and riding on the 'Correct' side of the Road 😁 Enjoy both of you

Enjoy your trip. I have a few friends who have taken those kinds of trips and everyone loved them. When you are in the U.K. and if anywhere near London go to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich and see Prime Maridian on which all maps of the world are based (except in France where they say the Prime runs through Paris) Enjoy and remember if you ride in the U.K. they drive on the wrong side of the road.

Jess, for the return home, Roll up the riding pants tight and put them in the helmets. That should save you some room in the duffelbag.

WoW, that's going to be amazing. I toured the Alps last year and it was spectacular..The only bad part was I could only rent a BMW adventure bike that took a bit to get used to..Anyway, your going to love it and cannot wait for the new videos to come out..Ride safe!

You may know this all ready but i do believe they use 240 volts versus American 120 volts. so you might want to look into getting some kind of converter as our plugs are different as well. just a FYI Enjoy your trip!!!

She said she had adaptors in the electronics bag. And most chargers can handle both 120 and 240.

Be careful with all that gear on a motorcycle in the Alps. Some of those roads have no guard rails and amazing twisties. Add rain and you have a dangerous situation. Hope the 2 of you have the time of your lives just be very careful.

My wife and I lived in Northern Italy in the late eighties and early nineties, we had a 87 Concours at the time and rode it through the Italian Alps several times , I even rode to Yugoslavia once , enjoy this awesome journey , thanks for what you do 👍😎,Oh watch for ice in the caves !!

Don't forget your power adapters. Some countries you mentioned have different plug configuations and you will need plug in transformers for the different voltages. Buy 2 of each. Travel safe now. 😊

Swiss Alps rider here. Best is a mesh jacket with an electric liner (Gerbing). though plenty wear leather with a liner. The big-name passes just opened! A few weeks ago they were still frozen and there is still snow up there, but summer temperatures get hot in the lowlands.

I’m perfectly comfortable in the twisties…. Just not comfortable trying to keep up with professional racers and avid mountain pass riders. 😅

@@HerTwoWheelsGood! My experience is English riders won’t be burning up the passes. And watch out for the Dutch. For some reason they love bringing their camping vans to the alps and it takes some throttle to get around them.

Make sure you strap down the harley bag to the bike well. The bottom has no grip and will slide around on the seat. We have that bag, and it slid on the seat while on the road.

Tip: Never EVER check-in your helmet. The helmet is carry-on (or wear) luggage. I have worked with baggage handling and have seen the reasons why you should carry your helmet on board the plane. Other stuff- totally ok.👍 Hope you had a great trip in Europe. Welcome to Norway whenever you can 🙂

I really like how minimalist the jacket is as far as logos are concerned. I love Harley-Davidson, but I don't like gear that has a ton branding. And I freaking LOVE that bag, so much room! Hope the trip is great! Cheers!

I always have a means to make coffee in the morning, (ALWAYS) I will buy tee shirts and throw them away or give away if need be to save space for flight. socks/underwear garbage when done. When possible use a power pack to charge your devices and charge the power pack from there outlets (that way you fry a power pack not your charger for phone or phone) Although that applies more to 3rd world countries and France . download offline maps before hand. Always have $100 U.S. cash hidden on you, bribes/ emergencies (I'm not joking).

Not sure if you are aware of the ECE regulations for helmets. I don't think yours has it, only DOT. Something you might want to look into before you go.
