Hi Rachel, gorgeous makes and the baby cardi is just perfect. I also made the Davenport dress in a William Morris design, mine is cotton lawn but i really think I will tale my shoulder frills off as when I wear it they annoy me. I love the other details though. The issues you’re mentioning with the Lang Merino 120 is a superwash issue more than a merino issue! Merino has the problem that it pills much quicker than other yarns but the stretching out is the superwash treatment. I’d recommend going for non-superwash merino (or BFL because it’s a bit sturdier but still quite soft). Sadly, a lot of yarns are superwash (such as Lang Merino 120) and this a typically problem. I hope you find some yarn that works for you!

All of your makes are very nice but your birthday dress is just so beautiful, it looks like the type of the dress you want to put on every morning because it's so comfortable yet you still look so good in it ! Definitely want to do one of those over the summer, maxi summer dresses for the win !

It's a bit unconventional a suggestion (and I'm not a knitter!), but... Could you sew the yellow cardigan into a smaller size? Like, take in the side seams and bind them? Forgive me if that's a ridiculous idea 😅
I’ve thought the same! But really not sure how to do it without making it really bulky because you can’t really cut the knitted fabric. I might try and shrink it in the tumble dryer though…
I'm your makes even if they need readjusting (although it's a nuisance). I've heard that superwash merino stretches more than non superwash. I've never knitted with non superwash so i don't know if that's the case. Also, i have found that Along Avec Anna's yarn does not stretch as much.
I think I must make the Mabel dress! Yours are so beautiful. I have very narrow shoulders as well and have issues with wide-neck garments just falling off haha!
Yes do! Its such a lovely pattern on everyone ❤️ uhh narrow shoulders drive me mad when getting the fit right 😂 they are the constant bane of my knitting / sewing life 😆

She passed away in 2007 and in 2013, myself and all 4 of my children were diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (It's a much longer story but) & I was told by Professor Rodney Grahame that my Mums ME diagnosis was in fact likely EDS. Hypermobility, fatigue, aches & pains, dislocations or subluxation, sprains, flat feet, piezogenic papules in feet, weak ankles, tight hamstrings, migraine, allergies, eczema & skin issues (MCAS), soft velvety skin, stretch marks at puberty (when a lot of issues become apparent), acid reflux, gastrointestinal issues (IBS like symptoms), dizziness & racing heart (especially when moving from laying or sitting to standing, standing stationary (in a queue etc) or in hot weather) fainting or feelingblike you're about to ... if you can tick a few of those boxes, it might be worth having a read up & seeing if you think it might be worth looking into.
May I ask in which size you made the Mable dress? I seem to have a quite similar body shape, so that would be helpful. I bought the pattern recently and I am so pathetic at choosing a size 😂😂
I always make a size 7 in Tilly and the Buttons patterns and find that works well! But would really recommend measuring well and choosing the size closest. Hope that helps! ❤️
