I wanna give it up for Dan, who has to watch all the Stephen "bashing stuff down a hole" til it works moments... But to his credit, Stephen did get the thing done. I freaking love this playthrough you guys, keep it up!
The struggle to take flight in this episode is truly a whole thing to witness. :P Stephen, struggling with Shapes™, to Mal: "I can feel the couch shaking as you're laughing." 😂Highlight of the episode.
Stephen, your machine at 22 minutes can work and I do believe in the concept. The execution was heavy on one side, but the concept is not wrong. I'll laugh at the shapes thing happening again, but when you have a valid idea, you have a valid idea. That's fair. It's okay that your first attempt at it wasn't balanced. You were rushing it to show you're smart. Take your time. edit- and Mal proved it can work a few seconds later. Good job team.
@@billwhite515 yeah, and that video was just a acting thing, i had the same reaction as her but like legit when watching the vod, i am rewatching these for the Dan inputs
Stephens combat skill and Mallorys brain can make quite a powerful combination when fighting a lynel, but when things go wrong like Stephen struggling with shapes, and we see Mallory grin because she already figured it out, just comedy gold all around.
there are times I just ask why they (re:Stephen) play the game if they are going to just ignore all the puzzles, and then Stephen went and had a really good solution to that last puzzle. it was actually pretty good.
To be fair, they are "ignoring" the puzzles by using other tools the game gave them to solve the puzzles. Which is really good game design that helps players feel good and smart and have fun when having multiple methods to solve any one thing. They're doing it correctly (insert peak performance meme).
4:40 (RIP that extra loot area they ignored completely) 7:31 It goes to show how little they use some of their Zonai devices when they still aren't aware some of them have time limits 12:21 Also goes to show how frequently Stephen doesn't pay attention when this same door was encountered at the start of this depot, and he didn't remember it 16:59 (For curious Stephens, the game would have likely shoved anything you put in the door's path out of the way violently via the force of the door closing; it is also likely an uninterruptable animation and is not physics-based)
To be fair, some devices do and some don't, and it would be nice if the game told you which do or showed some indication of how long they last before they vanish.
