Disc hp requirements vary greatly due to ground conditions, disc style and tractor configuration. That disc is an offset, they pull extremely hard, a tandem disc pulls easier. In my sandy soil, in southwest michigan, my ford 3610 (just shy of 50hp) with 14.9x24 tires, not loaded, will pull a massey 520 10ft tandem disc, but just barely, my Ford 4610 (62hp) with 14.9x28s, fully loaded with beet juice, with a 80lb weight on each rear wheel, and three 65ish lb suitcase weights on the front will pull that same disc uphill, sunk in as deep as needed. The new compact tractors that are 40, 50, 60hp, wont do what a 40, 50, 60 hp tractor from 40-50 years ago will do, they are too small and light, you could have 1000hp, but if you dont have traction, you aint pulling much. Best to ask neighbor farmers about discs, what works in yiur area, what doesnt. Guys on the internet may be very knowledgeable in there area, but completely wrong in yours.

Fabricate a hydraulic cylinder transport collar. A piece of thick walled pipe with a slot to lay over the cylinder shaft (put felt/rubber on the inside) and compress between the ends of the cylinder. Weld a short chain to secure it to the disc when working the field. It also acts like a rain hat when the disc is in storage. You don't need a hose to blow out on the long road and drop that disc in the highway with no way to lift it back up. Some discs have a method of changing attack angles and for seeding you just need to cut the top debris and stir the dirt up then even lighter to mix your broadcast seed in the dirt so the birds and mice don't get it.

I was gonna say surly they have a lockout feature for transport because even a good cylinder could move with the bouncing tractors do

Removing the front end loader will help a little. It's a pain to put on take off, but, it throws extra weight onto the rear tires. And yer right about the 930, The 930 is probably close to 3000 ibs heavier than the Kubota. Build a cheap cab or even canopy on the Case, and add another 500 pounds of traction.

I pulled a 32 plate offset with a Kubota 125 X when the magnum was busy it was 4x4 on throttle backed off at 1800 rpm and up a gear or two it had better touque then wide open throttle all it wanted to do was skid till I ran it at lower rpm it pulled it a 5 km with wheels down to stop it going deeper then the axel of the disc sure it was slower then a bigger tractor but did ok considering maybe try it out Chuckie

Not sure why your doing tillage for seeding? I think you should be saving your fuel and buy a drill.
