I learned about welding at a High School level during the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school years, before graduating and going to HIWT for their comprehensive pipe & plate welding course between 2012-2013. Since then I've done mostly Agricultural & Heavy Equipment repair, with some new commercial and residential construction work, plus shop support level machining.
I mostly retired from welding starting in 2017, eventually shifting to being a full-time farmer. I grow a variety of hay crops currently.

"And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance" - Luke 5, 31-32
maybe bringing a second tube of grease would change those stats? i will say there is something to be said for older equipment. it might require more maintenance, but a whole lot less troubleshooting
I just did my old 3-cyl kubota and oddly 2 of them were out of spec loose (.33 mm instead of .2) but the other four were tight! How could four of them have no clearance after 42 years and 1500 hours? I don’t get it, but I backed them off until all 6 were .2 mm. I turned the crank through multiple full strokes to make sure none of them exceeded.2 at any point.
Note: when looking for brake cleaner that does not contain chlorine it will usually be advertised as not containing chlorine rather than reading through all the ingredients.
My great uncle earned the money to buy the farm I was raised on with a 1.75 horse power, hit and miss, water cooled engine, a fan mill to clean wheat and barley and a 1928 Chevrolet “truck” (pickup.). In 1954-5 I saw him pump water using the engine.
I had pre-delivery issues with my Kubota BX2680 w/ 60-inch mower deck & loader bucket. The dealer installed the foldable ROPS backwards. They also underfilled the coolant. Found out the hard way when it started to overheat cutting 12+ inch grass in an overgrown old pasture. I was naive enough then to assume these things were just going to be done correctly. Took care of them myself. Other than that it has been absolutely reliable & worth every penny.
Holy crap!! I found you again. Your videos helped me weld a 60ft chain link fence gate (and not poison myself with the fumes). This was about 10 years ago and it still stands. Glad to have you on my subscribed list.
Keep coming with tricks I owned a bobcat for the last 5 years and last year to this day…I got a hard time jumping the battery. It’s good to find your video else it will take me 20 years to figure it out. Thank you man.
