I can't understand why Russia would push for Kharkov when odessa port would be an actual jewel. Before other troops come into the country I'd personally push for this before any other target.

Showing nato the true meaning of game changer

Sheets of metal are effective in reducing the ability of drones to penetrative weak top armour (true of ALL tanks). Why not simply build the equivalentbof the Chernobyl containment unit on top of one? It's a bit like having your tank moving around in an armoured garage. Can they be destroyed? Yes. Does it take more drones, more effort, more time, when those resources would otherwise be used elsewhere? Yes again. I'd consider making the turtle tank into a remote-controlled unit, drawing fire which would otherwise be harassing other units.

During the Second World War 11 Russian plants produced over 116,000 tanks, self-propelled guns (33 types), and 13,000 armoured vehicles (6 types) They would have been fine without Lend lease of about 7,000 Lend-Lease tanks arrived and were less capable than T34. The trucks and food were ok stocking stuffers though. It's like USSR was the athlete and the allies were the Athletic supporters

None of what you said changes the fact that the fortifications the ukranians built there are going to be difficult to take. The trenches are in the middle of completely open fields for kms. Yes it can be bombed and struck with artillery but eventually the Russians will have to clear those trenches meaning they will have to cross those open fields under artillery and fpv drone fire. Yes the Russians will defeat the fortifications but they will undoubtably take losses doing it. Now imagine they build forts like this every 10kms. If they managed to build it in a week that is quite possible to do. It just means that it will slow Russia down and inflict casualties. (Of course it’s a death sentence for any ukranians posted to those fortifications but since when has Ukraine cared about that)

They can fab the area and destroy ukranians all day long but they can just bring in more troops before an offensive. Let’s not pretend that the Ukranians are complete idiots. Update: According to *russian sources,* they have already captured 5-6 villages and are just 40-35km from Kharkov, but the main forces aren't in combat yet. On the other hand, Ukraine claims they have successfully repelled the russian offensive in Kharkov. However, they don't have evidence to support such a thing. There's geolocated footage of russian forces beyond the village of Pilnaya and on their way to enter Oleynikovo. So we can make a conclusion that what Ukraine claims isn't entirely true. Later on, the governor of the region said these 5-6 villages are in the grey zone. I will keep you guys updated until the next video of MSaA.
