this is one of the devs for crusade and i will say about vegeta is that he is not finished his current moveset is a placeholder moveset. he'll be more polished when the full version drops
I know I’m basically a year late but thank you for the all the time and dedication that went into making this 🙏 I do have a minor question: will Shadow eventually get a resprite of his own? Gameplay-wise I think he’s fine. Super fun character. I was hoping eventually in the future we could get at least a different idle animation. Been seeing the one with his noodle finger pointing down, everywhere 💀
@@BackHandedRobin the other sonic reps will get resprites later down the line. though if it were up to me, i’d probably focus on the characters who desperately need resprites like samus, zero suit samus, snake, and krystal for example. toon link’s resprite is expected to be added in the upcoming update but i can’t say for sure.
@@dracobot2953 for sure Krystal needs a resprite 💀 Hard to tell what she’s even doing at times and it is quite jarring seeing her next to some clean resprites. Thanks for the reply, can’t wait to see the resprites later down the line! Stay safe, stay healthy, and thanks again for everything you guys have done in service to this project. 🙏
A number of characters got updated as well with new moves. Little Mac, Waluigi, Tingle, Mega Man, and a few more come to mind. Little Mac and Waluigi actually have new sprites.
I agree with characters and stages getting resprites since the game has too much quantity than quality. I get they want to make Crusade the ultimate Mugen Smash game but I think most of the sprites don't look that good and are outdated. I want them to resprites most of the characters and stages and focus on giving us more bosses than characters (I think adding 4-6 more bosses would be neat) I don't think they need to add more characters since the game has the same amount that Smash Ultimate has so there is no reason to give us more characters. Focus on quality than quantity.
It looks a lot more like the Sonic 4 Episode 1 Death Egg Robot fight as the stage background seems to be E.G.G Station instead of the Death Egg and the design of the Death Egg Robot is a closer match to that one instead of Sonic 2's.
Vegeta is always meant to be an in your face character, it's basically his fighting style in the games and show not to mention it's the opposite of goku which btw is exactly what vegeta kinda is...and patamon is most likely gonna have good combo game, but horrible defense, considering you only tried him in training. Edit: I saw that you played classic mode with patamon
So, with just a demo of one version, they humiliated SSF2? Because seriously, the game is going to be almost 2 years old without an update, just to bring 80% new pure visual things, the only new things are 2 break the targets, 2 new objects and a new Zelda stage. The rest, like the resprite of Meta Knight, the changes to Zelda and Sheik, the remodels to old settings and so on, are fine, but it's really not something worth waiting for more than a year or 2.
Hm it's almost like the team working on SSF2 isn't working on something even bigger than SSF2 at the moment. And are pouring every second of their hard work into something they can get paid for and celebrate the world of indie gaming.
@@LostKiddo I'm personally fine with that because I think Super Smash Flash 2 is almost complete. I don't see a reason to update Super Smash Flash 2 with anything major since the dev team is working hard on Fraymakers which should be their main priority rn. I get that a lot of people love Super Smash Flash 2 but I wouldn't even be surprised if the game ended support soon. Super Smash Flash 2 has surpassed most games in terms of development and I think SSF2 is at a point where I think it should rest and let Fraymakers thrive. Is this a controversial take? Oh, absolutely but I say this because Fraymakers needs support. It isn't a Flash game for free, it's a paid product and a paid product needs support to satisfy people who paid for the game. I hate to be that guy that says "back in the early days" but Newgrounds Rumble is a great example of a platform fighter that launched like a full game and it was made back in 2007 in Flash. What disappoints me with Fraymakers is they're making it like another Mugen engine with indie characters tacked onto it than making it feel like a celebration of indie games, Newgrounds Rumble is a love letter to Newgrounds but Fraymakers is just a platform fighter featuring indie game characters with a Mugen engine on top of it. Yikes, two hot takes in one comment I made, lol.
children when they realize coding an entire platform fighter with 40+ characters on flash while working on a different, bigger project takes years to do
@@chugdotpng5120 They are literally a team, if it's one person it's fine. In addition, we talk about the things that show, that reveal. If they're going to make fans wait 1 week just for a new animation or an unnecessary change, then it's no wonder people are leaving the game if they don't give us reason to wait for the update.
patamon's inclusion is personal because i remember that i got into an argument about patamon in smash because i argued that patamon should digivolve into angemon and holyangemon or at least just angemon but people kept saying the forms don't "fit with patamon's model" and i'm mad that they angemon no more than a final smash sorry for the copium rant
