STORM SPOTTER IS NOT REMOVED, NOR DID IT GO FREE! It is still there. You are considered a spotter upon buying the pass, the team just doesn't exist anymore. You are a spotter on every role you have. Look at the left side of your screen and expand the menu to report.
I also noticed no new fos and performance for the game on my low end pc I change to boost performance and render distance doesn’t do anything and can only use my graphics at 20% anyway to bump it up?
One change I don't like is that they removed the garage, I mean it's still there, but you have to access it through the dealership, and it's only there to add upgrades to purchased cars. Not only that, but the garage was the place where all your purchased cars were put, so now, if you don't have all the cars anyway, you have to dig through the dealership menu, and I know I'm not gonna purchase all the cars. And that's pretty much my only gripe
I honestly think this change is better. It was kinda redundant to have two different menus that had mostly the same functionality. With the garage now being selectable in the dealership, it makes it like an extension to the dealership, which is what it basically is -- an extension for modifying your vehicles
Sup Tofu! I’m learning how to grow because of you! My channel is growing and I’m enjoying it, mainly based off your channel. Thank you so much and I hope you keep making amazing videos!
Hi Swedish here I just wanted to tell you that you have inspired many to continue to make videos on Twisted including me who before all of this would never think that making tornado documentaries would be a thing, I would do thank you and as always swedes out
Very nice video. I love the editing. It looks so cool! This Twisted update will make the game much better to play now on my potato pc. Thanks for the update vid Tofu!
I don't know where to start with how incredible this update is. It has everything I ever wanted and then some. Love the change in music for the main menu yet again, and it's especially cool that it's an original piece for the game. Also love the little hints and fun stuff at the bottom of the menu screen. Keeps things fresh, and speaking of the menu, it and the HUD when in-game look much cleaner and far sharper. The only complaints I have about those though are one: navigating to the garage became unnecessarily more difficult, in that we have to first go to the dealership, select whichever car we have - in my case I only have the starter Chevy pickup and the Charger as of now - and then go to the garage when we reach them, whereas before we could just open the HUD and go straight to the garage from there. Two: I kinda liked the dashboard setting of our car's speed and gas level better, rather than the small bars we have now. Yeah, they take up less space, but it doesn't feel as real for the driving experience, if you know what I mean. The storm systems definitely look far more realistic (although I think the lightning looked better before than now), and I absolutely love that tornadoes can now lean and take on a more angular appearance. Everyone else is talking about the return of multi-vortexes, which is also awesome - especially the update to the individual vortices with their own wind fields; a lot more realistic and dynamic there - but this I feel is a more overlooked detail that really adds to the dynamics and beauty of these storms. Another thing is how their movements and lifespan have also been worked on so that they're more unpredictable, as well as how cars can start sliding before getting picked up when they get too close to the funnel, which is great that it was finally added. Much more realistic: big props to the devs on those. It'll only make my job of getting as close to the tornadoes as possible more difficult, but at the same time it only adds to the challenge. Seeing wind direction on the thermos is cool; that'll make determining the path of a storm a bit easier. The updates to the radar look far more realistic and are also far more helpful with providing clearcut definitions of things like the TVS ratings. Hopefully I won't hear anymore of 'oh pink TVS; EF5' because that was just annoying. Adding PDS and TORE was also awesome and adds more to the forecasting and emergency side of things, and it's even cooler that the EAS alerts _(will get back to that in a moment)_ can play in your cars. Not quite what I originally had in mind, but it works perfectly. Finally, the inflow particles are here: big missing piece from this game. The updated roars of the tornadoes sound incredible too. The probe update is perfect. Far better setup and the addition of max windspeeds recorded help make data collecting more informative. *The National Weather Service has arrived: let's go.* That alongside the DOW and how that vehicle ensures accurate radar readings will also make the forecasting and coordinating roles more efficient and realistic. Bill's Ram 3500 ft. Dorothy and Sean's Doghouse are very welcome additions to the vehicle roster. Only complaint there is that we can't actually deploy Dorothy the probe, but I'm sure that'll be worked on later. I've also noticed the updates to the vehicles' suspension systems when I spawned in my Charger yesterday. Looks a whole lot better and it should make driving a smoother and better experience. The updated rain looks incredible, nighttime is pitch black as it should be, power flashes are bigger and brighter than ever, the map itself looks more populated, which is a big plus. Love the new lore areas like the broken bridge and the mine, as well as the new towns. Trent - and I've heard its name in the new trailer a few times now and was wondering 'Trent? Where's Trent?' lol - is especially nice due to it being in the hills and its very few entrance/exit paths. Will really make seeing oncoming tornadoes more difficult and thus chasing there more dangerous, of which I could say the same about the much denser forests, with all the new trees that have been added. Not much else to say except that, one thing that is a huge winner for 1.18 is the addition of regular jobs when there's no chasing. Waiting for a good day to pop up when there are days with bad thermos is boring as anything; having jobs to work at will be a good way to pass the time and make some more cash. I probably won't bother server-hopping anymore to be honest with you. Oh and speaking of hopping, glad :rejoin was axed. Lazy players. That's about it. One more time, a big congratulations to all the developers of Twisted for bringing this update to fruition and continuing to show this incredible game so much love. I have plans to develop my own Roblox storm chasing game in the future, and uh, I'll be up against it alright, with how much better Twisted is becoming. We're not even out of Beta yet. You, Jesse and the rest of the guys who filmed the promo videos did an excellent job too. I look forward to seeing you all on the road sometime. :) 👍
Couldn't have said some of this better myself! I agree with a lot of your points. I do think garages being where they are now is much better compared to when they used to be, tho. Was kinda redundant to have two car spawn menus that are the same, except one has equipment
I like everything except for one thing the one thing I don’t like is how there’s multiple clouds and storms in the game. Because I’ve been playing since 2019 and I really like the detail of the old storms on maps. They just look much better and more realistic to me but I think I’m just used to the old one. I probably will get used to the new storms but I just wanted to point that out.
You do not understand how long I have been waiting for an update to this game. I LOVE IT SO MUCH I CRIED ON THE DETAIL WHEN I PLAYED IT YESTERDAYYYYYYYYYYY
Question, Tofu: Do you know if the developers planning on putting in Velocity Mode for the radar? I can see they have reflectivity mode looking pretty good for Roblox standards, but is Velocity Mode on the table by any chance? That would be even more useful for finding tornadoes at night and when reflectivity mode is not exactly being clear at times. I gotta say, I am GENUINELY impressed with the amount of effort being put in this game. As someone who has seen A LOT of Roblox Storm Chasing Games, this one tops them all by leaps and bounds. Definitely makes for something to play while we wait for OUTBRK and Storm Quest to release.
According to FAQ #17, it's unnecessary as it doesn't have a real purpose due to the TVS signaling where the rotation is, but it may be looked into for the future.
With all of the changes to the game, you might have to make a new beginner guide for 1.18! I'm not directly asking you though, I just have a feeling that new players following your older beginner guide will have some false info about the game in their hands. On the other hand, great video!
I don't play Roblox all that much anymore, especially since they sent my main to the shadow realm, but this single game does bring me back to it at least 1-2 times a year. Keep up the good work, it looks sicker than ever! (The good kind of sick, of course!)
Exactly, that was my first impression when we started testing a month ago. Felt like a completely new game. I mean, it kinda is cause literally every line of code was rewritten
Sooo.. they removed all functionality of SKYWARN, replacing it with NWS, and not proceeding to give any sort of in game compensation? Seems pretty messed up to me
@@DontSpillTheTofu Yeah. It just sucks that they made it free and I feel like I wasted my robux but, to be fair it was only around a dollar and it’s fair to open it up to everyine
hahhaha trueeee. At that time that small part of the voiceover was recorded like late last night, 2 days after the original voice recording. I was so tired from editing and you can totally tell that from my voice
Satellites used to be in the game, and I *think* they're technically back because sometimes a multivortex and a funnel are combined sometimes. I'll try and confirm tho
@@DontSpillTheTofu well i have seen a multi vortex combine with a wedge, but unlike satellites they don't go around the mother tornado, but i don't mind it still looks beautiful.
small youtuber with amazing content, editing, and friends. id really like to see a guide on how to read the radar correctly because i am fairly new and i do not know shit on how to read radar, tell if there is gonna be a hook echo or anything. if you could, that'd be awesome, and again, amazing content.
Already planned! I have a Beginner's Guide video for version 1.17, however, it's a bit outdated. I am working on Beginner's Guide 1.18 (which is much better then it's predecessor), but I'm in a bit of a funky situation cause of data loss.
I just read a article about Sattelite tornadoes, and they are quite a mystery to sciencetists, now makes me wanna see one even more now..... Btw my Dow randomly went flying, idk what happened with that, bug maybe?
@@Fortnte123 i cannot do anything about that, I'm just a moderator for the game. There are fixes currently being worked on for the next upcoming patch that should hopefully solve that.
My PC is described at 13:30, it's now a pipebomb again but, it's still awesome and fun, I'm finding ways to get the graphics up and it's still fun, I say funner with boosted performance and like, graphics level 1 or 2, you may not see far, but it's fun and simple
I think it's safe to say that this is thee best tornado game on roblox and honestly I wish this game was made when I was 8 cuz I was obsessed with playing a decent tornado game on roblox
Best tornado game out there* I think the level of Twisted's quality extends past the Roblox platform. No other weather game out there as far as I know is this good in terms of quality
yeah, he is right about night being dark, I had no intention of intercepting a tornado, but a tornado came barreling towards me at night and gave me a bit of money, it was a weak tornado, so it didn't pick up my car. still scared me though
yea it's a little annoying at times, and you are limits to 4 vertices. also, a lot of the time the menu to place a polygon doesn't show up and you're clicking for ages when you have a violent tornado that needs warning
I saw the new update! In general, it is amazing! And the bugs are getting patched fast, which I like! I have a question, will they add police cars in the future?
2:57 Holy jesus chryst in the actual nature of storms,What in the actual world is that massive thing, how in the actual sky this happened in 1.18 or 1.17,dont tell me,4:45 and that thing holyyyy
Tofu: use boost performance if your device is a potato. Me: nah nah nah my device is an actual potato unlike what you said my device doesn’t even get passed the loading screen before starting a super nova!
