This is the first song my daughter ever heard. We played it for her in the hospital, and on the drive home. This has been her lullaby, the song that calms her when nothing else can. I know you aren't really uploading here anymore, but please--never delete the music here. You never know how much this means to people. A four year old is learning to sing with this very song, and your voice. Sometimes I hear her in her room, when she's trying to help herself fall asleep, singing: "I don't mind, if you're with me, then everything's alright"

I recently played the game To The Moon for the first time, and it moved me to the point that it has become one of my favorite narratives! I had already heard and loved this piece by Laura Shigihara prior to playing, but after actually experiencing the context it was written for, it's become about a hundred times more beautiful to me. I really wanted to pay a short tribute to the game and its music, so I hope you enjoy it - and that you get a chance to play the game someday if you haven't already!

I don't understand it. I honestly don't. I've never played To the Moon, never heard this music, nor even heard of this game until now. Yet I honestly couldn't stop myself from crying to this song. Maybe it's the simple tune of the music box, maybe it's the voice, or maybe it's the words, but something about it made me cry like a baby, and I just don't understand it.

For me it’s because I feel like I’m in love. I really do, but not matter what I cannot love this person the way I do. It could mess up everything we’ve worked for to get this friendship we have. “Everything’s alright” is exactly how they told me they’ve felt with me, it’s how I feel with them. But I just can’t love them. Or at least I can’t tell them I do. But everything will be alright as long as we stay together, as long as we stay friends. Everything is alright.

This is late, but honestly even a summary of the plot makes this sing so much more emotional. Summary: The setting has a device that allows the creation of memories so you don't die with regrets. Two doctors work on a patient, who wants to go to the Moon, and who's partner has died. Unfortunately, the patient doesn't remember their actual first meeting, and the partner is unable to communicate as such. In that first meeting, they created a rabbit constellation with the Moon as the belly and promised to meet every year. "We'll always meet at the Moon" That promise was never fulfilled.

This song is nice to come back to sometimes, the way you sing it makes me want to cry. It makes me think of me and younger brother's relationship. He has autism and it was always hard to talk to him. Even now, I try and try but after a few words it becomes silent. I actually sang this to him once when he was crying and he calmed down and fell asleep. I felt so happy and this song always makes me think of that. (Wow sorry for that long personal comment.)

+Cristian C (PoolTwo) there's plenty of people who've done playthroughs of To the Moon if you just want to watch. Markiplier did it a while ago i think... some people prefer to do it themselves over watching a playthrough though, not sure what kind of person you are. either way, it's a very enjoyable game ^^

While I do recommend buying it to support the game's creators because it's one of the best narratives in gaming, if you really dont want to there's is an excellent dub that's almost finished of the game. Just look up "To The Moon Dub 1" and you'll find it

SO I usually don't get emotional over anything at all. Not movies, books, nothing. EXCEPT Video Games. Should I be concerned or ashamed that video games are the only things that make me cry? Oh my God... I love your voice, I love this song, but... i want to cry... this is so sad. To the Moon is so sad and when I'm thinking of that game, I want to play that game again, even if I know I'll cry... I'm really happy because you do this cover. If you haven't, I recommend you play Finding Paradise. It ends up just as emotional as To the Moon, but for completely different reasons. Also play A Bird's Story for just a touch of added context.
