It definitely has its ups and downs, but if you are able to take it out enough the good outweighs the bad by far.

The title may have been a bit misleading lol, it has been a very reliable boat. I did just go through a little headache this year with no water pressure on port side (bravoitis) but I fixed it for $100 and it now has better water pressure than when i bought it. That's awesome, I wish mine had 525s!

It is alcohol that is in Windex that you have to be careful of it is ammonia, Ammonia will cause scratches if used on tinted windows or other types of polymer plastics!

@@NeverEnoughPyro40 Get with an auto detailer about the plexiglass. I live in Houston and worked for Fountain factory for many years but we used Novus1 and Novus2 then machine polished them. Taking your time or having someone else do it will whole-heartedly change the boat. I have a detail shop and I teach chemical engineering full time. I think the bleach didn't help the thread decompose but it was breaking down already. A good upholstery shop will use the correct thread that is UV protected AND for care you can use products that will actually UV protect the thread also for the future. Excellent choice in the boat and engines. Many, Many parts are available for both. One thing I would look at is the throttles and steering cables, I'd definitely lubricate them when I could. There also should be a grease zirk on the throttle controls somewhere. We used Plexus to clean the plexiglass and the dash area...........

For the record: my 95 35 fountain’s engine hatch upholstery- the stripe lines were off at almost every joint. Some were off by inches. 🤯 - you couldn’t really notice until you looked closely- 100% original from factory. Fountain didn’t care about quality control- they were focused on speed😎 The more time you spend around them the more that becomes clear. However; show me a better looking, faster 35’ boat from 199x 😍🤩 Keep the videos coming! Especially when the matching trailer shows up! 😜

hindsight is 20/20 lol I dont like the colors anyway so i plan on redoing it this winter.

No it has an actual starter solenoid like on the firewall of a ford truck. When the stbd ignition is on it turns on the solenoid to charge the stereo battery and when the ignition is off that battery is isolated from the battery that starts the stbd engine. Simple but smart idea, the ignition wire had just come loose from the solenoid so it wasnt charging.

​@CARSTUDIOYT definitely a smart idea. And alot less complicated than an acr. Acr needs to see certain voltage for a set amount of time before it will start to charge my second battery. I'm running a 25hp outboard with 2x batteries so rectifier regulator has a hard time hitting the charge voltage for the acr

Ive owned 8 boats and re-rigged a few as well as replacing a transom among many other things. I share all my experiences on here good and bad to help people. Im not afraid to admit a mistake! The positive feedback far outweighs the critics.

Ive heard that before, with that said I have renamed every boat ive owned and have never needed a tow! (probably jinxed myself)
