Everything That Needs To Be In The Next Animal Crossing 

What do you want to see in the next Animal Crossing? ❤

I would like to see an option to actually cook/bake things. Like if they introduced a bakery with a new character and then you could like work at the bakery or help out or take cooking classes. I think that would be so cute!

I love your ideas! The thing I most want is a longer "main story", if that makes sense? I like having objectives, tasks to do, something to work for. When I fully upgraded my island and got all my villagers, I felt like I had "beat" the game and just stopped playing, because I just couldn't with all the options in sandbox mode

I agree with a lot of things you said, like bulk crafting and color changes. I hope they give us more shops as well.

Better multi-player options. After a friend has been over to your island a couple of times, they've seen everything and there's nothing to do. New Leaf had Tortimer's island. I like HHP but I would have loved something that I could share with others. Also you're so right. The resident multi-player is awful. It's like they didn't ever want us to play with other people, even on our own island. With covid going on you'd think they would have updated/improved that.

I started playing ACNH 3 weeks after it came out...and haven't missed a day since! (only missing a handful of DIYs!). I can't wait to see what they are planning for the next game! These are all great ideas!!! I would love it if we could toggle a setting on certain villagers saying "these villagers will never move out, so the RNG needs to stop selecting them to ask about moving out!" (I have 6 villagers that can never move). And I would love it if they added in everything that has been added to ACPC!

I'm going to break my comment into 2 pieces the top half will be some of my thoughts about your ideas and the 2nd half being my opinion on NH. free camera - Completely agree. After I saw the animal crossing stage in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe I day dreamed and fanaticized about what animal crossing could look like if given an actual over the shoulder camera and couldn't stop falling in love with what my brain came up with. Settings for past game hourly music - I love this idea, especially after you mentioned how some players can only play at the same time every day. For me personally, I really prefer the music before the town hall is upgraded and honestly there were a lot of instances where I would've liked to turn off bgm and just listen to ambient sounds instead. Rotate buildings - Such a good idea and work beautifully with the camera idea. Decorating 3 - multi layer/sub color changes - This could be super cool! Multiple Shops - YES! I miss the nook shops expanding multiple times and when kicks and leif had their own shops, or when the hair saloon existed. And Digby's street pass plaza was awesome Villager's feeling more alive - I think a huge issue with ACNH is that there are 300-400 characters but only like 10 personality types. Being Cool, Sporty, Punk, Grumpy, Happy, Cheerful, etc Some of your job ideas, while to me seem lofty, could be really cool. But I think a more likely idea would be to not just add additional personality types, but give people unique dialogue. Even if they decided unique animal type dialogue + personality type dialogue could add more depth to personality. Rather than accidentally ending up with 7 sporty people and 3 grumpy people and all their dialogue be identical and stale. My Opinion: For some context I've been playing AC since it first debuted back on the gamecube. I've bought and put several hundreds of hours into each game with New Leaf having about 3,000 hours alone. I also really enjoy restarting towns/islands to test how soon / when elements become available to players. Despite NH adding cool idea like foraging, crafting, building the village up from nothing, and tera forming, I think the game in general dropped the ball in a lot of ways for long term fans. And unfortunately I think nintendo is going to ignore long term fans due to NH extreme success. So many new fans have no idea about the game was lacking in terms of traditional characters, content, and etc and with this being the best selling AC and bringing in the most new fans I really think nintendo might take this opportunity to stick their head in the sand and run with NH being the best and not chalk it up to covid having a massive weight in its and the switch's sales. I love NH for what it is, especially today in its current -final- phase but in a lot of ways I think New Leaf is the better "Animal Crossing". And while the "free rolling updates" were neat. To me, it felt like they released NH unfinished. And used this silly, fun and goofy, rolling update feature as a way to hide the fact the game wasn't done in order to roll out things like: Redd and the art aspect of the museum (should've been a day 1 thing vs may or june update) , holiday items and themes (you couldn't access them via "time travel or date change prior to the NA irl schedule), ocean swimming, deep sea creatures, etc. I also wasn't a fan of how many series veterans were put to pasture. They could've done easy things like had Pete, Phyliss, and really any vet tour or visit your island as a guest. It would've been so cool to see Joan pop up some sundays instead of just her granddaughter. Cap'n should've been a day 1 thing and not a 18 month later surprise update and same with Brewster and Harv's island shop (aka the rv park). Also I felt it was such a bummer for his cafe to return to the museum when in NL it was a shop you could put anywhere in your town. Also it was such a bummer to see that the nook shop never updates beyond its 1 upgrade. So many of my complaints are just series normative that were dropped in NH for ??? reasons. I hope with the new AC they learn to take the good elements of NH pockets, crafting, tera forming, but then bring back series norms and release the game fully complete on day 1 and not hide updates and elements that should be day 1 features behind sneaky updates.

Animal Crossing is such a great IP. I have fun returning to it between games to keep working on my island here and there. I totally agree with the free camera idea. I would also like slightly bigger interiors to better decorate. Also, a Nintendo music option that allows you to hear music from any Nintendo IP. Your thoughts are pretty spot on though. Make it better!!!

100% Rugs Outside !!!! Other than that I would love to see separate storage for clothes.

If we want bulk crafting then it’s up to us the players , but not up to the people from over at Nintendo. For turning our shops or buildings , then yes we should get that but that really should for us to get from in game. Like when we stumble over it as we explore newer areas , then it should be added into a newer shop. But in the newer shop it should come with a bakery , but depending on on what we have gathered up. But helping out and taking classes , really should be as for options for us players. But also adding for a longer use of our tools , but also being able to make newer tools. And being able to make machines , but also being able to find newer materials to make stuff from. But also being able to have a in game career , but it’s depending on which in game career. Cuz it will lead us into more of the multiplayer experiences. But we should also be more able to seeing our levels are , depending on which one of the careers or as an in game hobby. But i do have more ideas then this.
