okay okay okay which animal crossing game has the biggest house? New Leaf or new horizons? Wild World or City folk? Will the gamecube era reign supreme or the ds 3ds era? Wii or Switch? idk anymore.
My favorite house is absolutely the one you can get in New Leaf. Besides just being really big, the exterior stuff was really cool, and I remember how proud of myself kid me was when I got the entire exterior of my house gold. The customization of the New Leaf house, along with the flag of the City Folk house would be the perfect Animal Crossing house in my opinion.
The NL house with the additional customization they had in Happy Home Designer would be ideal. I wish they'd upgraded NL completely to give us the ability to use ceiling deco, rugs, etc.
I'm not in the habit of resetting my towns, but that feeling of a fresh 4x4 house and starting to collect furniture is my favourite part of any AC game 🥰
I mean, there is one single way to customize the attic: switch up the beds! I swear, I was absolutely amazed when I found this out as a little kid playing Animal Crossing, same with the inventory background. But I was sooo attached to the first bed I ever owned in the game and my inventory dress that I kept them in a special spot lol.
are we the same person??? i was saying to myself "you can change the beds!! i remember showing that off to my friends, as well as the inventory background!" lol. are those two things like a right of passage for people playing wild world ahahaha
3:46 Fun fact: You actually can change the bed that you sleep on in the attic. If you have a bed in your inventory and press A on your bed in the attic, you can switch it with any bed that you're carrying.
@@jasmineoryzaI used the lovely bed. The lovely series is my favorite furniture series. I'm still sad that they got rid of it in new horizons. I know that the cute series is similar but I personally prefer the lovely series. I think that they should have added a valentine's day update that let's you craft the lovely series since it fits valentine's day.
Running most of the AC games at the same time, the GameCube and City Folk houses suddenly felt extremely limiting. No side rooms to plan out here, just a single second floor and a junk basement.
New Leaf I loved being able to decorate the outside and inside of the house plus it had more than enough complete furniture sets to have specific themes to your house......Yes I'm still salty they didn't bring back the sweets furniture set
NH not having the old furniture sets is one of my biggest issues with the game. They were iconic! And we would finally have been able to use all those outdoor sets! I know they added some of them back in HHP, but it's just not the same...
I didn't think the narrow rooms had anything to do with Pocket Camp, I always thought they were taking a page from Happy Home Designer. Either way I hate it, I wanted a huge square room on all sides and attic/basement like New Leaf. New Leaf was the most fun to decorate, I was always collecting furniture sets that I liked and even created a second character to display them. I don't think I'll ever get over losing furniture sets, that was a lot of magic lost for me.
There was one thing you could customise in Wild World's attic - the beds. Also you could sort of choose where the house went? Like the vague area of where it is anyway. When Kappn asks you what you most want to see in your town, how you answer will place the house near the shops, beach, museum, town hall or town gate. so yeah a couple of things you missed there
There is an option to customize the house a tiny bit in the original AC. You could put a design that you made over the window of the front door and if I recall correctly you would get a butterfly crest and a fish weathervane for completing the museum... though that might have been in later games, I need to check my town from back then.
You do have some influence over the player house's location in Wild World, but it's a bit obtuse if you don't know the option exists. It's based on how you answer Kapp'n during the opening cab ride when he asks what drew you to the town: the beach, the town hall, the shopping, the border, or the museum. Whichever one you pick will determine the general vicinity the player house spawns in, so for example if you pick "border" you'll be near to the edge of town by the gate, and if you choose "shopping" you'll be closer to the stores, and so on.
i really do like your content, Elijah. you’re SO fun to listen to and i like the way you pace your work. hope you continue to do this - your passion and love is so evident, and you and your channel deserve the attention and growth!!!
Starting with New Leaf, Nook won't insist you expand your house anymore. He'll suggest them, sure, but he won't expand or add rooms unless you ask him to.
I was shocked when I accidentaly picked up my mailbox in nh while changing my doorplate. It's still a pretty cool touch, you can put it outside a gate or with the money dispenser and storage closet. It leaves *room* for imagination
New Leaf has the best choices of houses in the game. And i do agree that City Folk is under appreciated. Nintendo should port City Folk to the Nintendo Switch. Its among the Animal Crossing games i never played along with the Gamecube one.
Me too. It's so difficult to get a hold of and play nowadays, and it was never available on a portable device. They really need to port City Folk and/or Population Growing.
you can customize the attic in wild world in one way- you can change the beds! have one in your inventory and I you should be able to change it! I didn't know it growing up but revisiting the game when i was older I figured it out!
Fun fact if you have a bed in your pocket in animal crossing City Folk and you press a on the foot of the bed it gives you the choice to change your bed
10:35 That's not an RV, that's one of those big Murrican "trailor homes". An RV would be so much smaller if you had it proportionally sized to real life. Then again, the lanes of their roads might be absurdly wide like 6 meters or some sh!1.
I wish it was that easy to get a house irl 🫠 I’ll take debt forever over relying on roommates! I like my current roommates but I still want my own home. Even if it’s an apartment or trailer
