If we are talking about the good looking lady who let him in, yeah she was great. But I felt so bad for her, it was like she was being held hostage. You could see the nervousness in her eyes because she knew the cops were ready to make it an issue, and she said she's new, which leads me to believe she did some research before taking the job(because who doesn't)and has probably seen auditing come up in her searches. So she knows the outcome of them acting poorly. I just genuinely felt bad for her, and that's why cop culture has to change. And trust me, I know why BAT acts how he does, I've seen the motivation first hand, and in his videos, but I wish he was a little easier on her. It's pretty rare you see someone in her position make an effort to be decent, and she was better than they deserve.

Mad props to Jessica for her professionalism. We can all get a bit jaded seeing the trash officers antagonizing and violating the public but unless we want to abolish the police altogether (bad idea) we need to show appreciation for the few that do it right. If we call in to redress our grievances it wouldn't hurt to call In with commendations and remind the brass how it's done right.

I don’t think the choice is as stark as you imply. IMO it’s not all or nothing, but revisiting what society wants from its police and funding them accordingly. They should utilise mental health professionals, homelessness workers and social workers in their instead of trying to be all things to all people when they clearly don’t understand the issues their size 12 boots are trampling over.

@@OlYables didn’t you hear that lady say they were trained at that other place, probably because of him? He’s not argumentative at all, he’s defending his rights. He’s quite calm considering the way he’s treated. You’re correct that a single encounter isn’t going to make change on a large scale, but a pattern of these videos repeated over and over absolutely makes a difference for public awareness as well as training for our public servants. These videos are used by some police departments as training, did you know that?

@Stop Clownin WOCR 🎯 So important to not use their “ranks”. Sergeant, Lieutenant, etc should be for military only. Call them assistant managers or managers. And of course your ‘law enforcement servants’. By using their verbiage, we are legitimizing it. Hard to demilitarize the police when we address them in military ranks. This is very important in making the changes that are desperately needed.

I have to agree. Humans have an inherent need to fill the void of silence when interacting. Silence can be very uncomfortable for some people. Those with presumed/assumed authority count on this human trait to fill the silence and it totally befuddles them when you don't speak. It does quickly change the dynamic when you clam up.
