With the box in the van ... just put some sort of bag in it then place the stuff you need in it. When you need to move the box everything is in the bag ... lift and place back into box. A bit like a bin liner🤷‍♀❤

Full on Egg Nog is too creamy & sweet, the skimmed milk cuts through all that. Half the calories too. Ask at the counter, they will make it that way for you. My local knows me so well that even if I do a mobile order, it’ll be ready I waiting “half & half” 😂 There’s no option in the app to customise Egg Nog that way for mobiles so you have to ask.

We have mincemeat in the U.S. I bought a jar of it last Christmas at Walmart. It is just old fashioned here and not common anymore. You used to commonly see mincemeat pies (full-sized American pies, not mini individual sized pies) in stores around the holidays. But they disappeared from offer about 20 years ago or so. I am in southern California, so they might still be a thing in other areas of the country.

Can’t be doing with flavoured coffee……don’t mess with perfection. I have my coffee strong and black! I’m going to have a go at making the mincemeat pinwheels. And you should always grease or dust your trays with flour even if they say they’re non-stick. You do so much with your nieces and Janine, they will have some wonderful memories.

As in life, you live and learn, and that's what is happening with van. Yall are doing a fine job converting it into a camper van and putting your personal touches to it that you wouldn't get by buying a camper van from a dealership. Mincemeat rolls? If dad was still alive he'd have me out looking for some. He loved his mincemeat pies at Christmas time

Chocolate squirty cream goes very nicely on hot chocolate. 😜 you could use brown baking paper to line your tins, no stick and less mess to clean 😜

Bless the girls hearts 🥰. I love Janine's top. Could you ask where she got it from or if any other Lodgers know pretty please. I love Janine, bless her. I am defo going to try the pinwheels but I'm going to try a toffee apple one and maybe some others. I've never used Jusroll so it's good to see how to do it. I like lazy methods. Who can be bothered with making it from scratch. Tried it recently and it didn't end well for me or the pastry 🤔 🙄 😮

Them mincemeat rolls look delicious! Though I have to say that savers custard didn’t look appealing at all lol. Your trees look brilliant as always. We bought loads of lights for our 7ft tree but have too many and one bundle is just wrapped up underneath the tree lol. Looking forward to seeing your twinning look at the party 🎉 Cheryl x

Get ct1 can be used in the rain they have stuff for roofs and gutters also bitchuimin is good for flat roofs but wouldn’t use it on a valley

The reason it's called mincemeat is because in Victorian times fruit and powerful spices were added to real meat in order to disguise the taste and smell of rotting meat. Put me right off mince pies that did!😮

So pleased you got a set of proper knives, seeing you cut carrots with a serrated bread knife, and onions with a mini serrated knife makes my eyes bleed. Next step…a wooden chopping board! The sound of a knife hitting a sheet of glass makes my ears cringe 😫.

Why is it called mincemeat with no meat? Mincemeat is a combination of chopped dried fruits, spices, sugar, nuts, distilled spirits, a fat of some type and sometimes meat. The name is a carryover from 15th century England when mincemeat did indeed have meat in the mix; in fact, the whole point of mincemeat was to preserve meat with sugar and alcohol. - yes I did google it as I was watching the vlog lol

I don’t know where you got the idea that we don’t have mincemeat in the US, because we absolutely do. I’ve certainly had mince pie, and it has mincemeat in it. It’s not my personal favorite, but I know it’s available. Anyway, those apple pinwheels you made at the end look really good. 😋

I use bacon bits , Red Leicester and cheddar in my pin wheels omg to die for yummy ! I’ll try mincemeat as that looked nice !great to see you spending time with the girls , jannie is such a good mum the girls are lovely ! Trees look nice x
