Just want to clarify something! I do believe this castle is in the same strange place we visited in a previous quest. We did, in fact, see this place before when following the Forgotten Avatar through the portal. 😁 The ideas and concepts I'm discussing are not suggesting this is a new place we've never seen. We all remember going through the portal. What I'm theorizing is about "where" this strange Forgotten Land is. Where does the portal take us? Where does the Forgotten Castle actually exist? Personally, I believe we will once again travel to this location exclusively using portals (the mountain has no entrance). That said, I believe this whole strange new land/area exists within the mountain of the Forgotten Lands. There's a chance it could also be a "mirror dimension" kind of like the "Upside Down" in stranger things. Who knows? The reason I feel as if it's in the Forgotten Lands is because that's where this update tends to focus. The mountain is the only incomplete part of the map remaining. I believe all roads inevitably lead there. Who knows! Either way, it's certainly fun to discuss and theorize about this. I hope that makes sense! Cheers! 😁
If this IS the case would be have a reverse dreamlight currency? Could that be what the nightshards are for? I'm sitting on SO MANY nightshards and there's not much to do with them other than craft purified nightshards... which are only required for occasional quests. 😅

My theory is that Maleficent is the one who conjured the curse to Dreamlight Valley, calling it the forgetting. And the forgetting character we keep seeing stealing all the orbs. Is none other than her Raven, because her Raven can shape shift into anything Maleficent tells the Raven to do. But in all other Disney Games. Disney always betrays Maleficent as the most powerful Villian.
Yeah! Remember when you went into the portal to chase after the doppelganger, it showed a cutscene seeing it running towards the castle? I believe you're right, we might end up going in there to confront it yet again.
Agreed! I've talked about this a lot on my stream! I believe that the realm is within the mountain. Hence the magical aura surrounding it. 😁 I believe the only way in/out of the mountain is through the dark portal. This also explains why there is no entrance or exit visible yet it's still clearly part of the map. That's my hunch though! I believe it's ALL tied together with the main story!
I had a thought while watching your video. I’m not sure if it’s already out there, but…what if the umbrellas grant us some kind of flight capability, a’la Mary Poppins? It wouldn’t seem to be much different to the fast travel provided by the wells, but it could give us access to the floating islands or allow us to do a ‘super jump’ from one end of a larger biome to the other. We do seem to carry them like our other tools. Of course, they could just be purely cosmetic.
I think it's definitely Belle coming as the racing princess because she's a fantastic character in Disney SpeedStorm. It's a nice tie in. I also think the castle is the forgetting version of our valley like the shadow/evil avatar of ourselves that was shared in the roadmap for this year. I think we're gonna be transported somewhere so we can save the valley & maybe maleficent will be there. Honestly don't know as I have no idea about the character but I do think that about the castle.
Did you see the post they shared earlier! New items are coming to a Valley near you with update 5. For instance, no wooded path is truly complete without an artisanal bench ✨ Please do try not to forget your personal belongings when stopping to take a rest though… The bench is the one Cinderella first met fairy godmother on and they’ve got FG’s magic wand sitting on top of it!! 😃
A lot of people really want to see Cinderella is this update! She would certainly fit the Pumpkin house as well considering the whole "pumpkin carriage" ordeal! Hints seem to point more towards Fairy Godmother but it could honestly go either way!
Most of the furniture in the teaser is not new. The bookshelves are the royal bookshelves, the fabric storage is part of the Cinderella conception as is the desk and the sewing machine. The only new thing I saw other than the mannequins was the wall piece that I've never seen before but might just be super rare. So excited. I think the castle is the one we visited during the scar update.
Oh wow! I haven't seen any of this furniture! I asked my chat about it while we watched the video for the first time and we all thought it was new. Guess not.

If it is Belle coming, maybe her back story is relevant. Wasn’t the Beast’s castle in Beauty and the Beast messed up and some servants had become dishes? And then everything and everyone was restored when the spell was broken? Maybe your theory that this image is of another castle, not “our” castle, is correct, then? I noticed that under the clock the pieces look like a sad face. I like how you presented the facts from the devs and then branched out to theories.

I’m thinking the fairies in Sleeping Beauty that argue whether she should wear pink to blue could be the silhouette in the pumpkin. Sticking with the Maleficent idea in the Forgotten Land. Just a thought. They have pointy hats, take a look at an image.
I don't think any of these ideas downplay Maleficent's involvement in the Forgotten Land! Between the green flame and the ravens I truly believe we'll see her at some point. Not to mention, I'd love to see Maleficent! I'm simply reporting on the information we have regarding the approaching update! Even if most of the things discussed in the video becomes reality, it doesn't make the Maleficent theory any less valid! The reason I'm leaning more towards Fairy Godmother for the pumpkin house is simply because of the association in the Cinderella story. That and many of the memories I've pulled from the Forgotten Lands highlighted Fairy Godmother. That said, who knows! It totally could be the fairies you mentioned! We'll find out soon enough! unfortunately my favorite characters are more obscure/lesser liked so we'll probably have to wait a while to see if they show up (if ever). Pocahontas and Esmeralda from Hunchback
Can’t wait for the next update. All I do right now is make my rounds around my valley and than log off and wait for your stream lol. I will say that the clothes rack on the side is something we can already get. I have one in my new changing room. Just need the manikins lol
Honestly I really really just want our item count to expand for decorating. But customizing certain furniture and such will be fun and make our areas that much more unique
I feel this will be very hard for smaller consoles like the switch, with cross compatibility you can’t have 5,000 on PC and 3,000 on switch. :( we can only wish
You know, one thing they could do is give us a new area we could travel to and decorate outside of our valley. Kind of like our home! The interior is separate therefore doesn't impact the item count. There are just so many things to decorate with and the limit definitely holds back that creative expression for many! If they can increase game stability on the Switch there is a chance we could see an increase in the future! Fingers crossed!
Could be! It's an interesting theory! Though, I'm not entirely convinced that the red passion lilly glitch was intentional. I mean, it could totally be a clue! Though, it could also just be a bug! The game is in early access after all! I guess we'll know soon enough!
I really like the theory that the update will be regarding Forgotten lands, I do think that makes the most sense considering the mountain structure on the map looks pretty significant. Only issue is I was planning on unlocking Frosted Heights next, not Forgotten lands so this is going to throw my game play off slightly 😅 DDLV is a cosy game for me so I’m mainly playing for the storyline at my own pace - recently unlocked Sunlit Plateau, and this was to unlock friendship quests
Yes, we've seen this castle before! I believe the realm holding this castle may reside in the Forgotten Lands Mountain. That said, it's also possible that what we saw was a glimpse into the past or future. We won't really know until we get the full story but I'm well aware of the previous quest. 😁
Great video as usual, I don't normally comment on vids, but pretty sure this helps watch time like pausing on TT & FB vids seems to. If you're on a computer (after you've actually watched the video the first time ;) ). Mute video and set video to loop- and you should be able to go about any other tasks you have to do and still boost the watch time, as long as it's not another YT video.

I think in the near future there will be a portal system to travel to and from the mountain behind the Forgotten Lands. That said, I'm not sure if we'll be able to decorate back there but that would be cool! Who knows! Can't wait to find out!

My guess is that June 5th we'll have an official release date for update 5 and June 13th could possibly be the update. This is only my guess because all updates have been released on Tuesdays.
I mean I guess the princess could be Belle, she did race to save/warn Beast in Beauty and the Beast. It would be cool if there was two castles: one to bring in heroes and the other villains
I would LOVE the idea of a reverse castle with dark realms! Maybe something to finally spend our night shards on? Though, I'm worried it's just wishful thinking. It's pretty crazy to think that we've never pulled a villain from the realms in Dreamlight Castle though so who knows! My money is on either Belle or Vanelope. For now, it's hard to say!
You didn’t mentioned the customizing furniture update I don’t think 🤔 also I don’t see anyone incorporating this into their update 5 videos but there was a post about telling us to decorate the forgotten lands for spring. I still wonder if there’s more to that than to simply give the “forgotten” biome some love
Oh yeah! You're right! I totally forgot about the new option to customize furniture. They did reveal that recently. I think I just let my excitement over the castle reveal overshadow that announcement. 😅
Umbrellas I'm thinking Mary Poppins unless a hint toward Princess and the Frog with the Creole/Cajun cultue. I really want Mushu and Figment in the game and I'd enjoy Hei Hei as a pet, maybe he can help me collect stones and act as an extra storage slot. 😂
Interesting! Never noticed that before! I wonder if they'll ever animate the clocks to move in real time considering the game functions on real time. 🤔 Some players are theorizing that update 5 won't release until June 21st because that's considered the first day of summer and the road map stated "early summer" I really hope we don't have to wait that long!
I am really looking forward to finding out more about the distorted castle 🖤 I am really hoping that it hold villainous realms. I never thought about Belle coming this update and I find myself disappointed if it is her racing to the valley. Don’t get me wrong. I want her to come as I know she will be at some point… I just don’t want her to come with this sort of update clueing… if that makes sense. I love the idea of Vanellope racing to the valley, or even Cinderella… but not Belle. It just doesn’t fit in my opinion.
I agree 100% If it is Belle, I believe the wording should have been a bit different but I don't know anymore! Maybe they're intentionally misleading us! However, if that's the case it takes a lot of fun out of deciphering clues, you know?

I loved the update speculation. I can't wait for the update. But the castle being dark. had not thought about that. We will find out soon. I think 6/5 really could be the announcement of when it will come out. I think it will be like the 1st day of Summer around 6/21/23. I think we will get Fairy Godmother and real happy about that. Not sure about princess. Great info on the IMDB voice characters.... very interesting. Thanks for all your hard work I love it!~
6/21 would make a lot of sense! The road map did specify "early summer" so I'm still a bit surprised that we're seeing a lot of build up in late may! If the update does debut later next month I hope they drop some filler content in the meantime!
What if this whole time your character actually died and this is your characters heaven… and your having to fight to stay in heaven while the devil ( the forgotten) tries to drag you down to hell and you leavin the city is you leavin permanently and you drifting off to sleep is you dying
