I really hope they integrate Get Famous with this and the issue with sims not being able to interact with their family member because they are famous. That was really frustrating. The system should obviously recognize and make a distinction between stranger/fan and their niece or nephew!
YES! That is one of my biggest peeves with the fame system! I also want to see a separate "family" tab in the phone book, and built-in familial recognition, similar to what the game has for the donor parent, even if they're not in the offspring's household.

Oh I'm super excited to see what the modding community comes out with in the weeks following the base game update!! For both infants and toddlers. 🤩 Whatever the new systems and dynamics are, I'm sure they'll help to flesh them out even more and I cannot wait.
Looking forward to the pack and update but cross compatibility is something I REALLY hope the sims team incorporates with this pack and update! Because it was SEVERELY lacking in HSY!
I'm really trying to manage my expectations so I'm not disappointed but it can be difficult sometimes. 🥲 The trailer looks very promising so I'm eager to see what the gameplay Livestream shows us in March. But if the new systems and dynamics are completely isolated from those in other packs it will be the biggest letdown imo. 😭
If there’s no cross compatibility with Parenthood I’m going to utterly lose my gourd. That was easily the most disappointing part of High School Years in my opinion.
Agreed. 😢 Mod creators really saved HSY for me, there was way too many missed opportunities for great cross compatibility. EA has hired several mod creators in the last year or so, though, so fingers crossed they have some level of creative freedom and weren't forced to be yes-men. 🤞

Yup. It AGGRAVATED me so much. HSY would've been much more impressive if get famous, parenthood, city living, and get together were incorporated better.

I suspect “games and activities” isn’t necessarily multiple configurations like eco lifestyle or high school - although that might be interesting. But if a community center lot just requires x number of game tables and at least 1 art board or whatever they need for art classes, and then just shows up as an available public venue when planning an event/party…. All bases are already covered. Here’s a question though: for sleepovers, are sleeping bags a required item you need to place for the event? Are they items that just appear out of Sims back pockets when needed like bottles for toddlers and helmets on bikes? Are they like Snowy Escape’s skis in that you can purchase a specific one for your Sim to own, but otherwise a random one will appear when needed? Are they a buy item?
Honestly I don’t see how infant stuff would get carried on, because they change as they get older, they’re not going to pee everywhere as they get older, or love being carried, it would be different as they grow, that would be just an infant thing, just like toddlers, like toddlers can be mean and it could carry on, but even that could change, if that’s what you meant, maybe I misunderstood what you’re trying to say, I know birth marks will carry on as they get older, and I’m really excited I didn’t even expect this much in it, what I do hope is they continue finishing the neighborhood stories, finish the npcs, and continue with the dislike and like’s system, plus they never finished updating the older hairstyles, lil frustrating, all n all I’m excited.
Oh man, I would hope the peed freely wouldn't impact an older Sim. 😂 I think there would be a way to do it, but the Sims is not that customizable. Like, how interesting would it be if that same pees freely quirk ended up impacting the Potty skill as Toddlers, where maybe it would give a negative buff/difficulty in learning that skill? Or maybe the bladder need goes down more quickly than other Sims? More realistically, I meant it in the sense of earning certain traits as they age up. Like how Sims can get the Happy Toddler and Top-Notch Toddler reward traits if they get their skills high enough before aging up. Or even from Infant to Toddler, some of the quirks are the same. Will a Toddler be predisposed to get a certain quirk because they had the same one previously? 🤔 I do agree, though. I hope the base game update comes with more things like improvements to neighborhood stories and other half-baked updates from the past. Just, something more than another new Scenario, please. 🤣
I am interested because when the grandparents come to the house to see the new baby he had a suitcase and I am REALLY hoping now sims can visit and stay at other households as guests
I am a little confused by that. It certainly LOOKS like they’re coming for a visit - but the only text description is “move in” with family, not “visit” family. Do the grandparents have to move in to help out, instead of just coming to stay for a few days? Can they just “move out” again and their house and all their stuff will still be there?
Me too! Just wished the extra items were a bit better. We already have a swing set and toddler slide, I'd like another exclusive item like the infant carrier.
I rarely used the camcorder when I played generation so I am not that bummed that sims 4 didn't include it I am looking forward to the upcoming expansion pack but I would like that aside from infants if they would maybe even if they just made preteen a part of the child stage where the child gets to maybe attend not only elementary school but middle school because preteen is when a child is between the ages of 11to 13 and it is during that time when children really develop a lot faster getting their first crush and losing their last set of baby teeth they attend middle school which gets them ready for their teenage life and they then are ready for stuff of that sort
i totally agree, preteens would be so amazing in the sims 4! i doubt we will be getting a new life stage after infants for a while though :( However I do believe there is a preteen mod for the sims 4 to download in the mean time!
@@mikaylaporter4942 true but the odd thing is that the person who created the preteen mod doesn't get is that preteens are any taller than children having at one time being a preteen they are still considered a child the only difference is that in stead of elementary school they are in middle school so technically it isn't a new life stage but a new school set for a children who have gotten a in elementary school and have learned all the stuff that would lead up to things like logic or the like. The only other thing that separates preteens from children is that it is at that time that a woman's curse has a tendency to start it starts between the ages of 10 and 14 only in rare cases does it start in your teenage years which is why preteens and teens are prone to mood swings though you are right EA probably won't realize that for a while
I hope the social compatibility system is not tied to likes and dislikes, as that does not work properly for me. Quite early on a young adult sim ’chose’ not to like gaming. Then he proceeded to game in every spare moment until he was an elite gamer or near the top of that skill tree anyway. Where is the sense in that?
If you're on the fence, I recommend waiting until the livestream on the 3rd before making your decision! I am prepared to be out the $40 if it's not everything I hope it can be, but I haven't always been in that financial position and I know there are many people who still aren't. New packs can be exciting and make us fearful of missing out, but informed decisions are always better than ones made based on emotions. Best of luck to you with your choice. 🖤
I always wait until I see Sims RU-vidrs get and play the pack, and what sort of bug reports show up in the first week or so. Dream Home Decorator looked great, but once released I decided not to buy it. Werewolves on the other hand, looked better and better the more Let’s Plays I saw, and the main bug being reported (at the time) was the werewolf going invisible while transformed - but since the fury effect was still visible it was like “okay, the actual gameplay looks awesome, there’s great CAS & build/buy and a cool world… and the main bug is just that it’s not guaranteed whether my Sim turns into a wolf or a demon upon losing control” so I bought it. 🤣
Agreed, I use the SimDa mod so frequently. Idk if online dating would fit in Growing Together, but I really hope we get it at some point in the future.
1:07 There is NO WAY an INFANT has THAT much hair!! Yes newborns can be born with a lot of hair but that much???? It looks wrong. It makes her look like a toddler to me. That is my 1 and only issue with infants
@@sea5063 yes, it because these aren't newborns their infants. There's a difference between a newborn and an infant. The newborn life stage will still be there. However, back to my original statement and I stand by it. It's false babies are definitely born with different amounts of hair and I can show you a ton of pics as proof
