I'd like to nominate a sin removal for Ghost attempting to shoot Shepard once he immediately gets over the shock of what happened instead of a "what have you done" moment where Shepard would explain his entire plot to Ghost before killing him only to push exposition.
The whole point of the no Russian mission was to create war between USA and Russia. Shepherd and macarov were working together (replay the scrapyard mission and listen to price and macarov’s conversation). And shepherd chose pvt allen because he was a rookie private who was expendable. Shepherd basically wanted a war so he could rise up as the victorious war hero that saved the country after he was basically destroyed and humiliated when 30,000 of his men died from the nuclear launch in cod 4. You’re missing the entire point of the whole campaign and giving it sins.
Danny Sands I know this is late and all but your right and I’m gonna have to agree with you, I was wondering why Makarov killed Pvt Allen in the first place and why Shepherd killed Roach and Ghost and how Makarov knew his location (SCREW U SHEPHERD AT LEAST SOAP KILLED U, THATS PAYBACK FOR EVERYTHING U HAVE DONE!!!!)
MrJPlayz yea, basically the whole storyline comes together because of that one liner that macarov says in the scrapyard mission while your racing to get to Nikolai’s plane
"They're everywhere! I'm looking at fighter jets over I-95, how the Hell did they get through!?"-One of the most chilling lines in history. You know shits going down.
Lazy Eye Jones nah in mw3 nato is still there it’s just in major disarray due to coordinated attacks across its member states. Germany, france, and GB are at least still there.
The Crimson fucker it's not that bad. Worst one imo is jersey turnpike. Even 495 (beltway) is not nearly as bad. Just tona of bumper to bumper traffic there. Turnpike is like bumper to bumper at 80mph
I was surprised to not see a sin removed by the exchange after the emp goes off. Something like: 1: "my sight isn't working." 2: " but our guns still fire, so we can still kick ass." Found the exact lines: Cpl Dunn: "What the hell are we going to do now, man? Russians got us out numbered, shit's falling from the sky. We're screwed man! We're totally-" Sgt Foley: " Shut up! Get a grip Corporal! Our weapons still work, which means we can still kick some ass.
@@enternamehere2557 1. Unbalanced as fuck multiplayer 2. This game took the first step to kill the entire franchise 3. Raging 12 year olds, that shout in their microphones (not an issue from the game itself, but Activision is baiting those fuckers to ruin the game for everyone else) 4. Killstreaks (They were already stupid since their very first introduction in MW1) 5. Way too overpowered Killstreaks 6. Idiots that ruin public SnD matches just for some fucking wannabe fancy killcams and then scream the shit out of the voice chat (See 3.) 7. No dedicated servers 8. No modding support 9. People get banned for joining lobbies, hosted by a cheater 10. Infested with cheater 11. No fucking FoV slider I could do this all day and still wouldn´t be finished. I do like MW2, but only the singleplayer and the coop. The multiplayer was just one mess of toxic cancer and led the way to kill the entire series. It got worse with any following game. And no, the Black Ops games weren´t that great how everyone claims. Black Ops 1 was boring as fuck in multiplayer, not as terrible like MW2, just boring. Because with less of the stupidity from MW2, you could see how generic and boring the gameplay was and didn´t change since Call of Duty 2 from 2005. Black Ops 2 multiplayer got worse again with way too overpowered killstreaks, a toxic community and with the billions of RU-vid videos, where people farm their 200+ kills from Killstreaks. I´m glad and proud that I dropped the franchise after MW3, after this disappointment and anger. But I don´t regret the time I had before that. 2 years ago, I decided to give Black Ops 2 a try, because a friend of mine annoyed me to play the Zombie mode. I already had no expectations to that game, but it still made me disappointed. I´m only glad that I didn´t waste more than 10 bucks on it.
A half-sin each time Keith David shouts "Ramirez!", because I guarantee you that this counter would exceed 300 sins (including all the others in the video) if you did a full sin.
@@markjones5672 The company put them in there to help players get a kill, to keep them playing the game. This isn't about our opinions or how we feel, these are pre planned money moves. You had people who got spawn trapped, they needed painkiller to move out of their spawn. There's so many reasons why painkiller and the other death streaks worked but also had their own flaws.
The only gripe I have is sinning Price for saying the history line, mainly because he followed it up with a really powerful quote: "History is filled with liars." To me that indicates just because said person won the battle, that doesn't mean they wrote the story in a truthful manner, it would only paint them as the good guys even if they were fighting for the wrong cause.
Yes, the history of mankind is full of liars, Sadly, the victors are usually the ones that can twist and yell the lies, the loudest to manipulate populations and exile the individuals creating the truth and actually making progress. Time after time through history, groups of individuals are raised and taught by higher Intelligent progressive Groups, usually, once the lesser Group became self-aware or a greedy, corrupt individual tried to take the power for himself, would then twist the teachings and meaning of progression to have the group listen to him/her. They then would try to exterminate or drive out the group of individuals that taught them and enabled them by using the vast number of ignorance. Usually, after the group Leaves and tries to coexist, countless conflicts wind up to one large conflict that will end up in the eradication of the progressive group or ideology. If the original lying greedy group with false ideology wins, then Stagnation and eventual regression will occur until there is a movement achieving vice versa effect. Sadly, that movement would have to learn from history and not try to coexist and rectify the false ideology, and simply wipe the slate clean. Believe me, my family, since its inception as the Azd family has saw countless betrayals and as seen vast amounts of territory ripped away while the family history was manipulated and almost erased from history to suit the ideology of lesser uneducated group to make it seem like they were achieving and making strides of progress; but somehow not being able to show proof or how or where it actually came from. I'm just thankful the few accounts and original documents throughout history pertaining to my family and what we've done was saved and some copies actually protected by the Vatican; While to this day groups of that misled ideology still, is trying to conquer territory using violence or ignorance and corrupt individuals with false ideas.
-5 Sins. If you listen closely to monument evacuation. If you choose to stand down and didn't help them destroy attack heli and such. Troops around there will get overrun and defeated later people who wait to evacuate grab weapon and fighting the Russian and died horribly. Girls scream through comm is scary enough to chill you in the spine.
also sins off for the saddest moment through the comms when as roach and ghost are getting killed you hear "do not trust shepard, i say again do not trust shepard"
Most of the things that were complained about were the highpoints of the game. Noob tubes. One man army. Commando. Quickscopers. Trickshotting. The lack of balance in this game is what made it unique and fun. Rewarding bad players who use op guns while keeping things fun by providing more creative while still strong classes for more experienced players (knifers, quickscopers, etc). Over the top unrealistic action sequences. The stress induced by this game is iconic. This game had it all. No wonder so many people played so many hours of this game. It was a masterpiece.
its better that way. Otherwise hes have to noob around with commando, noobtube/oma and stuff as well. Also does this game still have an active playerbase?
I think maybe at least 5 sins should've been removed for the soundtrack. That's one of the best soundtracks in videogame history (In my opinion of course 👌)
Here's my three answers to why you can't kill Makorav in this mission and your other questions. 1. Allen is under very clear orders to NOT kill Makorav but to gain his trust. This means, Shepard wasn't just thinking about Makorav, he wanted his whole terror cell organization and all of his contacts. Which would require Allen to spend alot of time WITH Makorav and his militia. Not to mention, Allen knows his chances of being the hero in this situation mid way through would get him killed by Makorav's associates. He's under orders and is outnumbered by the enemy, he has no choice but to go with it either way. 2. Makorav is a professional at what he does (he wouldn't be at the level of command he's at otherwise) and his attacks are well funded/planned out precisely, meaning he likely knocked out the airport's security system before going in. Otherwise, ofcourse, they would've worn masks. 3. Makorav didn't kill Allen before hand because he likely knows if Allen was there to kill him, he wouldn't be undercover. Makorav is the prize overall sure, but he still basically is guaranteed to be their middle man to connect to other major crime organizations. Alex the Red and the Brazil militia for example, if Makorav didn't start World War 3 then Shepard would've found so many other hidden contacts through him. Thus, making him a prize in a different way than what he becomes later on which is a blatant global threat and the only salvation the US has to bring back peace with Russia. 4. Makorav is there because he knows those men personally and has likely worked with them several times before this, making them a unit. Sure, the average terrorist leader usually doesn't throw himself out there but there are always exceptions and this is the most important part of Makorav's plan to start World War 3. Which means he could've also felt that he NEEDED to be there, to ensure it was done exactly how he wanted. Personally, when it comes to something that means everything to me, I'm never comfortable leaving it up to someone else to do it for me. I'd rather be there so I don't have to worry.
None of that makes sense 1. Yes, but a CIA agent would not go through with something like this, regardless of orders. He would kill Makorav before carrying out a major terrorist act that would plaster their faces all over the international media and potentially damage America's international reputation beyond repair. It would just be too risky. If it ever got out that the CIA not only knew about a major attack before it happened, but actually participated in it, the reputation of the United States would be tarnished globally and there would likely be major economic and political fallout that just wouldn't be worth capturing Makarov over. 2. How would Makarov knock out the security cameras of an international airport? Wouldn't that tip off airport security immediately that something is up? Also, people would have recorded the attackers on their phones and survivors would have testified that it was Makarov who was responsible. Besides, Makarov would need to knock out more than just the airport's security to get away with something like this. He'd need to cut all the traffic cams along the route they took to the airport as well, and given it's unlikely Makarov's base of operations is anywhere near Moscow that'd be a lot of traffic cams. 3. But Makarov would never assume that the undercover American would go as far as to actually carry out the attack. Any reasonable person would assume that Allen would stop it before it happened, hence why the logical move would be to kill Allen before the attack and then leave his body there. Makarov is the prize, period. He's public enemy #1, any other organization Makarov has ties to is irrelevant. The Americans didn't hesitate to kill Bin Laden because he could link them to other jihadist groups, that'd be silly. Osama wasn't a "middle man", he was the top dawg; and so is Makarov. Why would the Americans care more about a Brazilian arms dealer and a dinky gang operating out of the slums of Rio, versus literally the world's most wanted terrorist responsible for dozens of attacks around the globe? Makarov was already a global threat before "No Russian", the aftermath of that mission just increased the necessity of finding him. 4. Name one example of a terrorist leader conducting a major attack in person.
WTFiamabanana You’re dumb. Shepherd ordered Allen to not kill Makarov. You can even walk through without killing any civilians, Shepherd wanted to be a hero. That’s why Makarov says “The enemy of my enemy is my friend cuts both ways” when he was referring to Price who said it before...because he was working with Shepherd and Shepherd is the enemy of price, as well as Makarov that’s why they worked together in the attack
@@WTFiamabanana Just because he said it doesn't *usually* happen, doesn't mean it doesn't happen at all. How would someone like Osama get their Terrorist stripes if they never had to...y'know, terrorize!? As anyone would tell you, you'd have to gain experience in a certain skill or occupation before becoming a master. An Employee who was just hired doesn't automatically become CEO after they're hired. It's called Rookie hazing.
People are probably gonna flame the hell out of me for saying this but..... Modern Warfare 2 is one of the greatest fucking video games of all time. Most certainly not top 5 or even top 10 for that matter but goddamn this game was just incredible.
Don't think most people would flame you for it. I think most gamers agree that MW2 was a fantastic game and there's a reason why the game series is still going. People just liked CoD4 better.
Mike P so far no one's telling you to go fuck yourself and there's a reason for that the majority of people enjoy the modern warfare series out of all the cod games so you don't need to worry to much about hate
11:04 Gives me chills and goosebumps EVERY TIME I play the campaign through. The thought of a Desperate America under siege and defending the nations capital from invading Russians was both terrifying and exhilarating
I'm just saying that the cutscene where the Russian jets are flying over the 1-95 and invaded America is legendary. Especially the sound effect of the jet at 11:08.
GAEM Lore honestly I was always shocked how closely modern warfare series simulated possible third world war. Also that weapon Russians used to disable all electronics of the East coast actually exists, but it wasn't revealed before COD MW2 came out. Also Middle Eastern country in first MW is suspiciously similar to Syria by architecture and civil war
@Marshall Actually no, It's Zimmer. The guy doesn't like talking to much credit, so whenever he's working with other people on a soundtrack he prefers to have others take the spotlight since they aren't as known as him.
To be fair, the title suggests that the game is being sinned as a whole, not just the campaign. Though the two sins involving Ghosts are bullshit. They have nothing to do with MW2 at all.
Makarov not wearing a mask actually makes since. He was described as being a terrorist for hire, if for some reason the US government want to attack Russia he would the one to do so. It would also make since for a Ranger to be there, someone loyal to US government, but that can still keep up with hardened terrorists. Russia probably wouldn't care about Makarov seeing him as just a tool used by the US.
That's a fair point! My personal theory was that Makarov had a man inside the airport who erased the video camera footage, but as General Shepherd put it, Makarov was viewed by many as a mercenary.
;-; i cried when he killed ghost (i know this gets said a lot and may be annoying, but it is true. it was a very sad moment especially for a lot of fans)
Álvaro Ruiz the betrayal by general shepherd was so shocking and it was so emotional when ghost died. It showed how evil and twisted general shepherd was. General Shepherd is one of the best CoD villains apart from Makarov.
_2summitup I still don't understand why the commander of an entire fleet and Task Force 141 betrayed and killed Ghost and Roach, they never explained that.
loot boxes would be fine as long as it didnt include weapon variations and new weapons. Skins and calling card type loot is ok but weapon stuffs massively mess it up.
Freshy I know what you mean. Neon shit everywhere. I just meant dont have anything that can give a player an edge come from a crate. Make them earn that shit like we used to.
13:03 - Captain Price wasn't captured by Makarov's forces, like that fan-made video presents. At the end of Call of Duty 4, we see that Price may be dead, but sometime between Call of Duty 4's and MW2's storylines, we learn that the Ultranationalists won the civil war in Russia, and thus Captain Price being in Russia at that time, recovering, was probably sentenced to hard work in a gulag for aiding the loyalists in the civil war. That's why in MW2 cutscenes we learn that Makarov wants to get him, which means that he didn't actually get him in the first place.
+MrDockas that fan made video was actually backed by Activision. The first one called Find Makarov was completely fan-made and non-canon. But Operation Kingfish was backed by Activision so most consider it canon
Still, it doesn't make sense because of Price's introduction scene in MW2, where Soap returns his Colt, which was given to him by Price at the end of Call of Duty 4. I think Soap would have had time in-between Call of Duty 4 and the supposed Operation Kingfish to return it.
And thats why that fan-made video is bullshit. Also Modern Warfare 3 campaign, that was written by different people and spits on the canons of past 2 games. Makarov's men, using helicopters and drones invade India (How?), killing civillians (Why?) and trying to kill Price - WAT? Price tries to contact american soldier (Sandman) and didn't aware that americans wants to kill/capture him - WAT? MW2 says that all Makarov need - money. In MW3 he wants "take all of Europe, even if it must stand on a pile of ashes" - WAT? Kamarov in Czech Republic? WAT? I'm not even talking about the Zakhaev Castle in the Czech Republic and the copper mine in Siberia.
Vicmor Even though I think MW3 was good in its own right, when compared to the previous two games (especially MW2), the story doesn't make much sense, just like you pointed out yhe few points that were total horseshit. Had it not been for the dispute between Infinity Ward and Activision, and the subsequent resignations from IW that followed immediately afterwards, we would have seen the true, and probably much better MW3 compared to the one we got.
EBert32378 it’s not in any game, it’s just some stupid short that’s outside of the game and that’s the official explanation for why price was in a gulag in mw2, personally i like to think he was just taken prisoner by the ultranationalist government after recovering in a hospital from his injuries at the end of mw1
Shepherd sent Makarov a sacrificial lamb to scapegoat America for the attack, Makarov's inside people dealt with the security cam footage, and poor PFC.Joseph Allen believed he was just taking part in a terrorist attack so he could gain trust inside Makarov's Inner Circle and discover who Makarov was working with.
Shepherd said that America wouldn't declare war on Russia? Or that America wouldn't take part in a terrorist attack on a European country? The rivalry between Russia and the USA didn't cause the Russo-American War in the Modern Warfare series, a massacre set up by two power hungry rogues did.
You have a fair point about the CIA operation. It likely wasn't an actual CIA operation, and Shepherd was just trying to make Allen feel special. No idea. No, Shepherd and Makarov didn't show any signs of having contact in the game, but there was that part in MW3 where Yuri reveals he tipped off the authorities and Makarov put a bullet in him. But what else would Shepherd want inside that DSM? There's no leads in the following game that imply it lead to any of Makarov's other properties, so it was likely something that incriminated Shepherd. Regarding the declaration of war, in the Operation Kingfish video short that you can find on RU-vid, Task Force One-Four-One engages the Ultranationalists in a bid to kill/capture Vladimir Makarov. Even if it did take place in the Ukraine, they still tried to take out a member of the Ultranationalist Party, especially if you put these into consideration: callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Vladimir_Makarov/Newspaper_Excerpts The nuclear silo incident at the end of MW1 was ruled off as a test launch, and Zakhaev is hailed as the "hero of the new Russia" in MW2. The Ultranationalists might not have scored a total victory, but they secured a nationalist sentiment in enough of the population to hold sway, plus the newspaper excerpts show that Makarov was gaining a large following and had the Russian Federation on their heels. And therein lies why the Russian president was so willing to go to war over this: tension was building against the West, Makarov was gaining power and proved he was able to seriously harm the government, and then, an American gets caught on camera leading a terrorist attack. It's either WAR, or a COUP from the Ultranationalists. The Russian Army, as I recall, has over one million soldiers. They crippled the US by diverting and surprising their forces via use of the ACS module, then straight up went for Washington DC. They had enough troops to attack DC and plan for an attack on Europe. The president was losing control of the military, until MW3 when everyone realized that the death toll was getting too high. But the Russian Federation's military was still turning over to the Ultranationalists, and it's very likely that they had begun regaining and arming like-minded troops in various countries that used to belong to the Soviet Union, like Ukraine. And BOOM, the chemical attacks happen. Europe's armies are crippled, and limited in movement, and their special forces -like the GIGN, whose barracks was hit, proving that the attacks were expertly planned-, and the Russians still have plenty of troops to engage at least three countries. But to actually conquer them? I doubt it. The plot is more in-depth than many gamers realize, yet still contains bits and pieces of flaws that are straight out of an action movie.
damn... this touched my heart, i remember coming home from school and playing this game every day. then hacker completely invaded the game, now only they play this master piece...we need a mw2 remastered, a game all about ''Ghost'', and the best performance for the games to come from them i would pay +$100 for just one
Also, an EMP would not have traversed that far into space, therefore never knocking down the satellites. And for that one sin on the purpose of it: Russia was dominating the air. You could hear Overload say in this video that "we don't have anymore air support but we can send you ground support." Russia didn't have a chance to defeat the U.S on the ground in their home.
perhaps america in the cod ww3 timeline got a british labour or torie poliction as there president ( the british armed forces seem to be getting fucked by budget cuts all the time)
He fell like, two floors. He'd be seriously injured but it's survivable. But yeah his mate had some Terminator aim at the start. I'd be more inclined to sin the fact that a Brazilian militia speaks the same language as a middle eastern terror group.
Ban and Y4zeed, it's definitely a great game. I STILL have it and will not let go of it. If any action game should re re-released for the PS4, it should be this.
You forgot to mention the fact that before 141 pulls out of Rio, they hear about the Russian invasion, even though according to the calendar and clock given at the beginning of each mission, the invasion did not take place until well after they were long gone.
Nesquick Guy lmao what a biased answer, this game was the og and most likely the peak of fps, the campaign was not Hollywood bs because did you forget the fact that some countries banned this game for the "no Russia" mission which showed a realistic terrorism situation. Tf outta here
This game brings back memories. In my opinion, it's one of the best Modern Warfare game's ever made. That and Black Ops 1. I still play them today. I love the campaigns for both of them! Love the video!
