EVERYTHING WRONG WITH MY MCLAREN 720S! 

It’s a great car Archie and the fact you bought it from a main dealer gave you a certain amount of reassurance. The fact it may have been on the track is a good thing, the car has been used for it’s intended purpose. Whoever owned it before you wasn’t taking any chances and had full PPF so they could track it without fear of damaged paintwork etc. Enjoy the car, it’s probably the best value for money supercar on the market today. All the issues with McLaren were with their first ones off the factory floor plus depreciation. You’ve got a newer model that’s already had its depreciation, enjoy the car and stop worrying.

I just love how poms call a "car lift" (because it lifts the car vertically) a ramp.

Look out for corrosion on the front wheel arches, my 570s Spider and 720s Spider needed both wings replacing less than 2 years from new! Covered by the bodywork warranty but even so, the fact that they go rusty and that it is a known problem is outrageous on cars at this price point. Also P Zeros are prone to cracking, another expensive fix. My 570 had many electrical glitches too but thankfully the 720 was OK.

Congrats on the car but it's a bit of a stretch to believe you bought a 720S without a pre purchase inspection.

Or go to the shop that Tavarish just went to for the P1 build and havd them help you actually modified your car instead of just doing the basics, you should upgrade the internals of the engine, do some much bigger turbos, upgrade the clutch to handle the power, then do some crazy LM or GTR style body panels for more areo, maybe a HD style wing and make this a monster power and areo wise, then make it into something that youll keep in your collection for several years and make it something that would be unbeatable on the track but something that you can drive all year as a daily driver that you can take on any track around the UK

Archie, couldn’t you get a independent inspection before purchasing the car? That’s what is usually done here in the U.S. on a high end car purchase.

Those discs look in good condition so I doubt it was driven hard on track. Typically the more wear on the disc, the more speckled they look. The standard pads are pretty crap for track use too. You can get through a set in two hard days for someone with your experience. Coincidently I have a set that I've taken off of my car with 8mm left on them for sale 😂👀

Congrats - most interesting car yet - so many negative stories about this particular model. Try to keep it longer than a month though.

Such a nice feeling to know that you've bought a good one.... tyres don't look terrible, may be a few spirited road miles as opposed to track. At least there's no marbles sticking to the edges!

If u like driving dynamics the the McLaren are literally the best in the business, having owned a 570GT and 600LT , the cars offer unrivalled driving experience. It’s seems must people are just bothered about 1/4 mile times 🤦‍♂️

Thats not been on track, Disc's look mint. My cars got side wall tyre wear and its certainly never been on track. I don't drive it hard either. Just a load of roundabouts on my daily commute.
