"I used to smoke to get high, now I smoke to get vibes I used to tote the semi, I still tote the semi Keep it on the East Side, keep it on the B-side I feel like Ivan Drago, lil' bitch, and if he dies, he dies If he dies, he dies If he dies, he dies If he dies, he dies Yeah, run up in that nigga house, pistol in that nigga mouth But he be talking out his ass, what is all that shit about?" - Lil Wayne aka Weezy F Baby dont forget the f around him (2018).
No the two best lines are one Drago say he is not human he is like a piece of iron. And the second come's from Duke you hurt him you see you see he is not a mashine he is a man
+Chris Baybay Rocky 12, Rocky must get in shape to fight the nurse watch him go from wheel chair to walker and finally see him in fighting shape with a cane and watch him get his false teeth get busted out of his mouth and he goes down and again and again, then he starts punching the nurse over and over again and again and after a while he finally wins the epic fight and he yells out in victory YO ADRIAN ! ! ! ! I DID IT ! ! ! and after that he eats his jello and then goes to sleep.
Should of taken 1-5 sins off for Paulie giving Rocky the best boxing advice when Rocky said he sees two of him and Paulie said hit the one in the middle
manc018 well if you’re seeing 2 of him, it’s cause your eyes aren’t in focus. You see one Drago in each eye, therefore Drago’s actual location would be in between the two you’re seeing.
@Amber Harris - Well, I would NEVER thank both "Rocky" and "Rambo" for ending the biggest joke in history called the Cold War! After all, at least they're fictional characters anyway!
Top 5 Rocky movie quotes... 5. "if he dies, he dies" 4. "I didn't hear no bell" 3. "You're a bum" 2. "He's CUT" 1. "Get up you S.O.B, cause Micky loves you.
Rocky's biggest mistake was not giving a shoutout to Apollo after beating Drago. His best friend was just killed by this guy and he couldn't dedicate the fight to him afterwards?
@@Commander_Shepard. Has a clear point when he says she is an idiot because well, shes a women. Also, she wastes her time commenting on RU-vid videos when she has better things to do. Before you call me a hypocrite, I have nothing to do. She probably has to go make some lasagna for her husband. Get on that. She clicked on a RU-vid video that clearly is criticizing Rocky IV. It's like going to a stand-up and complaining about the guy making offensive jokes.
Yes, Rocky IV was blatant and heavy handed Cold War propaganda, which characterized many Russians as mindless and emotionless robots, hellbent on domination at any cost, who needed "virtuous" Americans to show them their humanity. Yes, Rocky IV was a vast departure from the character driven Rocky movies, to a more action centered film. With all that said, it was fun as hell to watch, and the Rocky IV training montage is something that I still derive inspiration from, regardless of how over the top it was. It had the best soundtrack and imagery in the history of boxing films.
+Drake Santiago Agreed. it's total cold war propaganda. I love how you pointed out the "need virtuous americans to show them their humanity" part. That's what i thought after seeing the movie(not as a kid). But still a fun film, oddly enough.
lord people keep saying this comment as if it's clever. it's snarky entertainment for youtube purposes. obviously he's not doing this in the theater. and yet you're still here giving him views, so...
Who else wants Cinemasins to release all 6 Star Wars sins vids on the day before the Force Awakens premiere? Calculating, that’ll be: 20 mins. at least for Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, around 20 mins. for Revenge of the Sith, under 10 mins. for the original and Empire Strikes Back, and a bit below 15 for Return of the Jedi, for the Ewoks. That gives us a total of 90-100 minutes, plus or minus. What’s this, best new feature film? Oscar-worthy, boys. The ultimate question, what has the better lovestory; Twilight or Attack of the Clones?
I mean Rocky 4 was a masterpiece. The characters evolved so obviously underdog Rocky became Capitalist Rocky. The theme of the movie was America Capitalism vs. Russian Communism and the Cold War. Paulie was a drunk and a bastard, but he changed. Even in the speech at the end Rocky says "If I can change, you can change...everyone can change!" and got a standing ovation. That being said the kid said all the candles where out...but clearly there were candles still lit.
@@sunritroykarmakar4406 Dude its totally propaganda. The All American hero Rocky wins over Russia to his side with his awe inspiring ability to take 36 concussions and continue fighting.Because MURICA! F*(&^ YEAH! Doiesnt make the movie itself any less awesome to watch though. But the only way it could be more blatant is if rocky changed his name to America D Great and his opponent Evil Russia Sucks.
I mean, while i get that it's meant to show bias and oppose the final fight, that Livin in America thing was dragged out to hell Imo,but still one mastery of movie,a definite brilliance and this guy deserves a dislike
My brother used to work out to the rocky IV soundtrack non-stop. Somehow he never managed to get into shape though...strange. It confused me because it was the greatest soundtrack of all time.
Bruno Rabago well he’s now 55 and has diabetes (had type 2 bow type 2)...so I think that probably answers that. :/ also also, it was the eighties...nobody had a good diet then.
Stalone asked the guy who playing ivan drago to really hit him at the beginning after wich he ended up in the hospital for 9 days. Imagine that the fight was real Rocky would die
You forgot the most obvious sin present in EVERY Rocky film: Horrible boxing defense on Rocky's part, not keeping his hands up or ducking punches. It becomes even MORE egregious in this movie, since Apollo had JUST taught him to finally start using defense in taking out Clubber Lang at the end of Rocky III. What happened, did he forget everything he had learned as soon as the fight was over?
Doesn't the film deserve shitload of sins for being written by a steroid user who, in the script, demonizes steroids by having a killing machine use them, while his own character trains with all natural ways?
I never knew how accurate 80’s movie stereotypes were until Rocky III and IV. The slow motion (especially when he and Apollo jump around in the ocean) and the sheer number of montages with songs opened my eyes to the truth.
3:25 It's symbolism. Because that's not a goat or satan, it's a bull, referring to Drago's nickname, "The Sibirian Bull". Watch how it crumbles during Apollo's entrance. As Drago watches the thing fall apart, Apollo even points down at him with a smirk, as if he was saying: "Yep, that's gonna be you, big guy."
Watch where Apollo fights Drago. Apollo enters the ring with his gloves on then he is in the ring the ring and points his finger at Drago with no gloves on then he he has his gloves on magically again. A big directors error! So funny!
@@DireHammer Personally, NOT EVERYONE liked "Rocky IV" and I am one of them! After all, the film's Cold War politics was the reason for the film's deep flaw! #ColdWarSucks
@@baconcurtain5089 Well, that era was an unfortunate one because it was a JOKE of an era where politics, some level of prejudice, and even jingoism, go together in making the Cold War an era that I HATED so much!
+Trinity Franklin Are you including yourself as something imperfect, or did you actually give yourself credit for quoting yourself? That's worth like, 10 sins.
But Moscow turning pro Rocky was kind of dumb.. Even Gorbachev applauded him.. (it's the dumbest thing in the whole movie) I too love this movie... It's entertaining..
''Thursday: Sins of a movie that came out several years prior to this one. '' Rocky IV is from 1985. Star Wars IV is from 1977. *STAR WARS CONFIRMED!!!11!!11!1*
GraveDigger35 Hang on there. Star Wars Episode 4 was released in 1977. Star Wars Episode 2 was released in 2002. Besides that, CinemaSins hasn't done a single EWW of any of the Star Wars movies yet, though for some reason you claim they already did (which is incorrect, check their channel).
They couldn't use the real thing? Soviet electronica from 1984. And who's that in there? Ludmilla Vobet Drago, Ivan's wife?! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gYdgKHa2KbI.html
Right?! It was the 80's! It was meant to be over-the-top (no Stallone movie pun intended). I hate over analyzing shit like this. You're clearly missing the point, asshole.
Did anyone notice at the end of rocky 4. Rocky's son was a kid but at the beginning of rocky 5 when rocky comes home from russia. Rocky's son was a teenager? Watch it again and you will see what I mean? How long did it take rocky to come home from Russia?
the king, MaximRecoil There is an explanation for both questions in the directors cut . You see Rocky's plane goes through the Bermuda'triangle and Rocky ends up in an alternate universe. He's just so punchy he doesn't know the difference.😜 🤪
We should treat Rocky 5 like the civil war: It never happened! We should take down every reference to it, and burn every copy in existence! We should probably demand that Sly and the Morrison estate pay reparations to everyone who was forced to watch it!
Of course there are mistakes as like other movies, but the soundtrack gives me chills everytime! Rocky IV would be the last one, an epic ending for a great series!
Imagine if in Stallone's newer version of this film we got a scene of Paulie going full throttle on the robot bareback? Sure I'd throw up everything I ate in the last week but I'd give Stallone serious cred for doing it.
I'm from Philly. Sadly, Paulie is the most real person in the movie. The robot was creepy and cheesy but the idea that he's having sex with it seems like a projection of a sad viewer, because that's what THEY'D do with one. So far, you're the first person I've heard make that theory, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn this is a common notion.
No they cannot: www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/online/elp/elp Nor in philly: www.dmv.pa.gov/VEHICLE-SERVICES/Registration%20Plates/Pages/Personalized%20Availablity.aspx#.V10EmfkrKUk
For a channel that points out mistakes, you seemed to miss a major one. When Rocky is first knocked down (before the montage), the ref is counting in Russian. One hand holds up five fingers, then he counts off six more numbers. Rocky gets up around 12.
He was putting his hands out because it was a climactic moment in the movie; he wasnt counting on his fingers. I dont think that any refiree in any pro fighting league counts with their fingers because the person who would need the counting (Rocky) are probably not really looking at their fingers haha...just saying.
Sin number 54 is a fail. Apparently CinemaSins doesn't know that licenses plates in most states including PA have had a 7 character limit. "SOUTHPAW" would require 8.
Yes!! Around 2:05 - 2:09 : The punching strength of Ivan Drago *always* bothered me, even as a kid coming out of the theater. Rocky's head would've been chunky salsa by the end of the fight. Thank you for this video. There are people on YT that think Rocky IV is the "best" one. *shudder*
+louisalectube It was chunky salsa after the fight. Remember the beginning of Rocky V? He's sitting on a bench in the locker room and can't stop his hand from shaking. I know everyone wants to forget Rocky V happened but at least it addressed the beating Drago gave him effectively ending his boxing career.
+butte81 Maybe in some scenes that were cut, but watching the movie you can see pretty clearly Dolph's punches land about 3 feet away from Stallone's face.
+ZergofImportance well at the time the Eagles were bad like in the time this was set in, the Eagles were like 8-10-0 in 1985 and the Steelers were 8-10-0...... nvm they were about equal in 85
Phoenix13524 whoops, i forgot to include bye weeks xD, but yeah current day eagles i have no idea who would want to be a fan, but the olden times eagles i can understand
This was the movie of my childhood. Living in Slovakia as a grandchild of a former boxer it was the most replayed movie ever. I can not count enough times that we as kids held fake boxing rounds pretending to be Rocky and Ivan Drago.

+Happy Accident Productions , just install Adblock! I know that sometimes it fails, but I also have "Magic Actions for RU-vid", and with the two combined, I never seem to have an issue. Google should really get rid of video ads. Their intrusiveness is what pushed me over the edge to start using ad-blocking software in the first place.
I really liked the Rocky 1 to 3 movies. The Rocky 4 movie is just too over the top for me to like. Drago is set up to be an extremely powerful boxer. He punches Rocky over and over in the head. Both boxers throughout the fight punch each other very hard in the face over and over. No one could take this much physical punishment in a fight. It is just too unbelievable.
Oh really? Rocky was suppose to turn down all the money that came to him from becoming a boxing giant? Live in a one bedroom apartment? Like athletes today don't make money and buy cars and houses?
Two major wrongs is that Drago wasn’t disqualified for pushing away the referee when he tried to intervene and that he wasn’t charged for murder or manslaughter.
Do boxers assume criminal action or penalties for a death in the ring? It has happened a few times in real boxing. I didn't think charges were pressed in this case.
Binyah min Yasharahla IF YOU DIDNT WATCH THE FUCKING MOVIE APOLLO TOLD HIM NOT TO THROW THE FUCKING TOWEL NO MATTER WHAT AND ROCKY DIDNT WANT TO DO THAT CAUSE HE DIDNT KNOW APOLLO WAS GONNA DIE
It wouldn't have mattered either way. The referee tried to stop the fight and Drago threw him across the ring. Realistically, Drago would have been charged with murder or manslaughter, because the boxing match was over as soon as the referee tried to stop it.
you know to make the fight more realistic Stallone told Lundgren to try to really knock him out, Stallone ended up in the hospital they thought he was in a car accident.
During filming, as Alejandro said, Stallone wanted it to look realistic so they actually traded blows. Dolph hit him so hard in the chest that his heart slammed against his sternum/ribcage and started swelling. He didn't think too much of it, but later that night he had trouble breathing so the crew eventually took him to the ER and then he was flown to St. John's. The swelling is typical of people who get into car accidents and their chests slam into the steering wheel. www.cinemablend.com/new/How-Dolph-Lundgren-Almost-Killed-Sylvester-Stallone-During-Rocky-IV-96467.html
did you know they both have several phds. These men are actors known for action movies! Yet they know more about science than most people I know! Give these men more roles that showcase their intellect! Like, hardcore macgyvers! They'd have to be on alternate sides until the true antagonist reveals himself by screwing them both over, bringing an avalanche of science and muscle down on his head. Who else wants in on this? I'll write the damn script myself if I have to!
I really hat to do this, but 5:06, I need to point out its a Pa. license plate, they're only limited to 7 characters, so you'll have to take that one back.
As a kid I always wondered how he scaled that insane mountain range and made it thousands of feet to the top in just snow boots and a jacket. No supplies, no nothin’. Because ......ROCKY
When they're shooting that final fight scene, Stallone asked Lundgren to really go at it for a few seconds. That's when Lundgren punched Stallone in the chest so hard that Stallone was rushed to emergency room by plane. He could have died.
Elijah Nakumura have you seen superbad more than once? you can't make do anything about that perfect movie! I've seen it over 50 times.. donno where i'm going with that but you should see it 50 more times! :)
Meldrick Edwards I was only kidding about home alone.. Plzz. Terminator is def up there without me even thinking.. no doubt. There doing a legit terminator 3 with Cameron and Linda Hamilton. I'm stoked. Next summer, maybe.
