Y'know wouldn't it be incredibly creepy for an alien species to build a base on Earth, and then they create human bodies in their labs that can be remotely controlled by an alien. Then they send that fake human into the world and attempt to convince us to submit to their wants.
The only thing I liked about it was the Time Dilation. It's something a lot of Sci-Fi movies ignore/don't explore enough and the way it's done here was pretty well done. Other than that though, movie kind sucked, I rarely watch movies, when I do I finish them, I didn't finish this one.
This is an above-average Sins video. All the usual funny stuff from this channel, 10-15% better than usual somehow. I especially liked the delivery of "when I set my alarm for 1:80" and "raining its ass off" 🤣
I like how this movie has a prehistoric mega shark in modern times as its premise and it still chose to show some bulshit even less believable than that
one thing roger rabbit has over this movie by a huge mile are the humans interacting with the cartoons in roger the humans can look directly at the toons with barely any issues but here it literally looks the humans are starting into nothing like theyre eyes dont follow where the toons are and its sometimes distracting
This was basically just a prequel to Disney as a whole. Evil sorcerer gets trapped in a mirror. Becomes Maleficent's Magic Mirror in Snow White. You can even see it's face in one or two frames as he's pulled into the staff. Asha grows up to be Cinderella's Fairy Godmother. It's where she gets the wand. "When you wish upon a Star" is basically Disney's theme song. Literally the entire plot of the movie. This whole thing is just Disney writing it's own backstory.
This movie was put together so poorly. I’m seeing Kingdom tomorrow so hopefully it is better than this. Sucks because Rise and Dawn were amazing. This had potential but just didn’t pan out.
*Why the writing in Endgame is so good, that the less perceptive film watchers are unable to ‘get’ it.* Because the writing doesn’t play the butter notes. Miles Davis once told Herbie Hancock: Herbie *don’t play them butter notes.* Butter notes are obvious things that you do - so the audience will recognize a tune. You are satisfied with it [like butter] because it’s expected and easy on the taste buds. Nothing surprising, nothing complicated, nothing that forces you to think. Butter notes. A good example of a butter note Super Hero film is Logan. It’s a road movie with the old guy and the kid, and the grumpy old guy will discover one last bit of vitality from the youth of the kid. It’s Up UP and Away. It’s Gran Torrino with old man Clint EastWood. It’s a million examples of a story you’ve seen before and know by heart. Smooth as butter. Endgame, is *not* like that…..
One SIN applied to this video for NOT calling out the crashed VW Bug at 14:40, even though it won't crash until.10 minutes later in the film. They even zoomed in on it.
Why does anyone listen to Tyson? Anyone else remember all the things he said during covid and the contempt he showed anyone who dared to say "But the numbers are showing it's really not very dangerous so I don't think causing mass panic, destroying countless small businesses, locking everyone inside their homes and forcing people to take an vaccine which hasn't had near the testing ig needs are good ideas. Let's just calm down and talk about this." To which Tyson, every mainstream news outlet and everyone on the internet who never takes five minutes to vet what someone is saying as long as they're on tje team they already agree with said "You don't believe in science! You're an anti-vaxxer! You deserve to get covid and die!" Oh let's not forget about the litany of bannings from social media platforms just from daring to ask a question. I think vaccines are one of the most amazing inventions humans have ever made. Science is hands down the best way to explore qnd explain the natural world. I don't think that the covid vaccine when coupled with 5G will kill anyone. I don't think they put microchips into the vaccine. Despite all of that I and many others were called anti-science, anti-vaxxers and conspiracy theorists just because I looked up things like how many extra deaths we eefe having compressed to years past (if a disease were truly deadly then you'd see the number of deaths spike) saying it's no more deadly than the flu and I don't think it's moral to force anyone to get an unproven vaccine. Oh and I also pointed out that masks aren't stopping the transmission of covid and they can actually increase your odds of getting sick. I realize that some people did make wild, untrue claims about covid but most of us weren't and pretty much everything we said was true, but i can guarantee you that if another covid like virus that isn't all that dangerous comes along the same people will turn into rabid dogs if we dare to question the narrative.
Before I watch one second of this, I just want to say how excited I was when the notification for this movie popped up on my phone. I first heard of this movie in a listicle about movies that the final product was far different from the original pitch and why and now this "film" lives rent free in my head.
I always loved the Cool World explanation to multiple dimensions and media All the world's really exists and the authors of our world glimpse them in their dreams through the veil.
Sorry cinema sins. Cool world ripped nothing off from nightmare. Cool world 1992, nightmare 1993. If you're going to sin it tell your writers to get the facts straight. 😅
