The way I see the whole Master Emerald existing throughout space-time is so long as it exists, it exists in every point in time. It doesn't have to be in one piece, because it still exists. When Eggman turned it into a card, it no longer existed as the Master Emerald, so it disappeared from all of space-time. This also means that breaking it into shards wouldn't affect other points in time, nor would moving it, because it's state of existence hasn't changed.

It's nice to see a EWW of Sonic once in a while. Charriii5 says the funniest shit.

CHARRII5 this is a very personal game to me. I went threw a lot of hardship with friends and family but this game kept me happy in the long run that i bought a psp and the same game again. I have a personal theory that the Master Emerald doesn't ever get mentioned simply because it's in a secure location within' Angel Island that Knuckles trusts enough to leave alone. And yes, I know, it's more likely that the newer writers (especially the ones we have now) simply forgot that it exists, but I'd much rather just give them this out and assume that if the Master Emerald isn't mentioned it's because Knuckles has it safely hidden away and the bad guy of each game either can't find it or is simply unaware of it's existence. 11:53 ... I'm gonna bring up another personal theory that I have for the entirety of the Sonic franchise just in general. The theory is that Eggman is just simply wrong. The Master Emerald has an infinite (or at least a near infinite) amount of power, power that is notoriously strange and seems to have a will of it's own, as well as changing based upon the users needs (according to the IDW comics, at least). I think that the Master Emerald had some sort of "backup" effect that activated when it was turned into a card. Having infinite power condensed into such a small space, no matter WHAT excuse is thrown behind it, is a rather dangerous idea to have. Most likely, the Emerald somehow sensed this, and reached across space and time to make itself disappear in every other timeline so that no one could do the same thing to it in a different timeline. Seeing this occur, Eggman probably just assumed the Emerald worked in a different way, the way he proposes. 17:06 It can be both, honestly. If Eggman NEGA is Eggman's descendant, then that means he;s from the future,and since both time travel AND inter-dimensional travel is both possible AND fairly common in the already futuristic present of Sonic's timeline, it's not out of the question to say that he simply went into Blaze's dimension AFTER his failure here in the base dimension. It could even explain why Eggman NEGA kept goin' on about not using his "full title" in Rush despite never actually meeting Sonic before. And for any scene where he actually acts like it's his first time meeting Sonic in Rush, it's probably because at some point he realized that Sonic hasn't met him yet.

11:50 So... I think you're close with this but I'll tie up the loose ends. (And yes, I am aware the comics are different but I like to use them to attempt to explain Sonic Shenanigans. Sue me) The Master Emerald isn't Metaphysical, but Pataphysical. Since time is a constant variable, it doesn't randomly move around or shatter across all time. Instead its current state is dependent on the timeline its in. For example, say Sonic went back in time and prevented SA2 from happening at all. The Master Emerald would STILL shatter and remain in that state until the point in time where it got fixed originally, but it would simply stay in place at the temple instead of being scattered. Knuckles would be incapable of putting it back together on his own and would have to wait. This also means that Chaos would still escape even if Eggman never got involved. I hope I explained this properly.

Eggman Nega isn't his name, I imagine, just like Eggman is a nickname. Depending on if it's self-proclaimed or not, the point is, someone is probably calling him "Not Eggman" cause they want to believe he's nothing like him.

This game's story: "I bet i can steal that fat guy's Pokémon cards before you can." "Nu-uh"

There are two things I would like to say. 1. You are doing a very good impression of Jason Griffith, which goes for the Sonic AND the Shadow voice. Great job. 2. I think the whole Master Emerald thing is a bit simpler than that. I think you can move it around without affecting it in other points in time. If that were the case the Master Emerald would have to be in only one location throughout all of time. The reason it disappeared was because it was transformed into something else, thus removing its energy. The real question here is why did it vanish for Knuckles in that exact moment in time. Eggman Nega said that if it disappears from one moment in time, it disapears from all moments. But there were moments before its disappearense where it was still in front of Knuckles. What should have happened is the appearance of a parallel timeline in which the Master Emerald never existed. As for why Onyx Island appeared in the past, I have no idea. Maybe Eggman Nega transported it back with himself and there were two Master Emeralds and when one of them disappeared, so did the other. It is known that the translations of Sonic games aren't exactly always accurate (SA2 being the obvious case to make), so perhaps the Japanese version has something to say about that.

When it comes to Eggman NEGA and the Sol dimensions... I ended up with an headcanon that the Sol Dimensions is the futur, just that Tails and Blaze didn't know and so, assumed she was from another dimension... Blaze could be a descendant from Knuckles, taking his role as the protector of the gems a long time after, and with the chaos emeralds becoming the Sol emeralds for some unexplained reasons. It doesn't really make sens, but that's the only way I can explain both the Rush timeline and the 06/Rivals timelines.

In hindsight, I think it's really cool that Charriii can pull off a Jason Griffith and Kirk Thornton impression when voicing Shadow. That's some insane dedication and attention to detail.

Nega was a bit strange being in Blaze's dimension in Rush Adventure and I guess him attempting to come back to Sonic's dimension in Silver's time accidentally brought Blaze along with him, which 06 pretty much erased Blaze traveling 200 years into Sonic's dimension in the end, which does explain her cutscenes in Sonic Colors DS. 18:41-18:49 Silver's timeline was reset by 06's ending. Any changes to his future can be made up, therefore he can learn chaos control by any means before his first TRUE encounter with Sonic and the others in this game.

17:02 to explain this, it was stated in an interview, and confirmed canon on Nega's Sonic Channel (official Japanese Sonic website) profile that he is in fact a descendant of Eggman. Sonic Rush and Rivals are both canon, Colors DS has Sonic clearly knowing who Silver is, as well as Blaze referencing events from Rush. Pretty much 17:13 is the most likely thing that happened, and he was lying about being from the Sol Dimension. Fun how Sonic doesn't explain it's own lore very well, so it makes confusing situations like this.

Playing it highschool though, when I started thinking stuff more clearly, you summed up what exactly what I was thinking when I replayed the game: "Why are we racing? Why don't we just work toge- No?
