The show openly calls out how stupid translucent name is, and they were sinned for that. Meanwhile they also sinned Blacknoirs name for being stupid. Does it make sense now? My message was pretty damn clear in the first comment. Not sure why you're struggling with that.

I just did a quick search on Google, to ask if pizza rolls were sold in Canada. The Google search was very confusing and didn't really help. One person said" once you try one you will be addicted". I humbly ask the person who made this comment or any other person on RU-vid. Please let me know, are they really that good? This is actually entertaining for me. Just like this video. Even tho they sinned it, the fact that Simon Pegg is in the show is just amazing. For those who are unaware. Simon is the basis for Hughie, and had the show been made when the artist had wanted, Simon would've played Hughie. But since time never stops and Simon got older. The creator made Simon, Hughie's fsther, for the show when the show eventually was picked up. Just to show him the love he deserves.

Hey, that's weird you say that. I don't know the comics, but I was watching a summary on RU-vid last night and saw the Hughie character and thought, "Dang, that looks like Simon Pegg." haha. How crazy. I ASSUMED this is why Simon was cast... because it felt like a strange choice, all things considered.

sure, except the orifice would've been the asshole, as he was walking away. which was both pointed lower, and also where the bomb was, so it should've mostly ejected viscera out the other end. but just nitpicking. also, if his insides are still just as susceptible to that kind of force, presymably they could've just crushed him in like a hydraulic press - can't 'cut' the skin, sure, but could smash it about as thin as paper with all the insude stuff suddenly wanting to be outside stuff.

First it happens so often its no longer a plot twist it is a cliche. Off the top of my head there's Aquaman's mother from Aquaman 1, Slade Wilson/DS from Arrow, Palpatine from the Star Wars franchise, & Butcher's wife from The Boys. I'm sure there are other examples I haven't named. Second your point that the source material is different only reinforces that it is a cliche b/c the showrunners disregarded the source material for the shock value of the reveal that dun dun duuun she was alive the whole time thus invalidating Butcher's vendetta. @@Baset_

@@Teufelhundin1978 Maybe it's because I don't watch movies all the time then because I can't think of a show that I've watched where something like this happens and I wouldn't have seen that twist coming. I think disregarding the source material was a good choice actually. It gives Butcher more drama than just "My wife died, I want revenge." Which is actually very cliche. And I don't think it ruins his vendetta at all. Homelander didn't kill his wife, but he did still rape her and is now holding her and the bastard son captive.

So much of these "sins" were just him making jokes about whatever's on screen. Or just not paying attention, like when he was surprised that Ashley was ready to open the door to Stillwell's office when Starlight knocked. Meanwhile Ashley had told her to be there at 10 in the last scene they had together. As Th3Birdman would say, **crunch** I think you're padding the sin count, bro.

Depends on the gas and the individual's resistance. I'm like 90% resistant to tear gas. They put us in a chamber in bootcamp. I was completely operational but it still made me itch and tear up a tad. One guy was completely immune though. They said that could happen going in. In the military you have complete faceseals for masks but I could see myself having no ill effects with something as simple as a handkerchief. Frankly, my shirt does a lot more to prevent stuff getting in my mouth than the masks did. And a handkerchief is closer to a shirt than a mask. He actually full pulls on mesmer's elbow, not his wrist. You can see his hand go quite far and the next time you see it, it's still wrapped around his elbow, no cuts. You pay attention to a lot of detail in scenes so I'm not letting you get away with not having eyes here. :)

Season 1 was perfect, it had enough shock value to define how dark it was, while still being serious enough to keep a set plot. It’s a shame that by season 3 they just started doing sex scenes wherever they could fit one in.

Btw with translucent, when he talks and is invisible, we should be able to see his teeth, tongue, back of the throat, etc… same with his eyes, bc his skin bends light. His inner mouth and eyes don’t have skin. (Could technically be wrong about the tongue and throat thing but I know for sure the teeth and eyes don’t have skin covering them) Whenever he went invisible, in order to not be seen, he would have to have his eyes closed and not be able to talk.

sure, but that should've blown material AWAY from hughie... i mean, it's up his ass. his ass is facing hughie by now. the bomb goes off - 99% of the, uh, material, let's say, is now going away from the bomb - some small bit is being blown out the ass, but that's also like a direct tube maybe half a foot away. it should be ejecting most of the chest contents out of the mouth.

55:34 We do get a good look. Check out the base of each bust, there are seven bases on top. In order, furthest from shot you have Atrain, translucent, Noir, starlight, homelander, deep and Maeve.... There is definitely a bust of some kind on the second one, albeit it does just look like the base......

I mean, I wouldn't put it past Homelander, to have it there, as a kind of sick trophy. Usually whenever I see a model, statuette of a plane IRL, it's usually either level or pointed slightly upward, to indicate flight, This feels blatant and kinda cheesy.
