Yeah thanks for the headsup. That wifi-bluetooth transition is kinda suspect. Might go with the Bose Soundlink Flex or Flip 6 instead.

Said it on another review of this speaker…love my Sonos products but this Roam didn’t make the cut!!! Returned it a week after and purchased the Bose Revolve 2!! Much better sound for the music I listen to!!

Had my Roam now for over a year. No issues at home Internet Fios 950/950 mbps and the Eeero Mesh around the home. No drops and mostly use it when going to the beach and sit back and relax 😂😂😂

Hey. I have the same phone, and sometimes when I use my AirPods Pro 2, it does the same. I believe something with the iPhone 13 or Apple Music is the issue. 0:54

I returned my Roam for the same reasons. I wanted to keep it but it really wasn’t worth €200. And two weeks in the music at max volume all of a sudden started to drop by its self down to 10% volume and A red light would flash on the front. The amps were kicking in. my battery was defective I think so it was a no from me 👍🏻

I have owned this for a while. Never had any issues. But you need a stable mesh network in your house. I love this speaker, I use it booth outside in my garden, my bathroom on vacation and as a room fill in in a group with the rest of my Sonos speakers. Together with my subwoofers in my house this is an amazing speaker. This is a very practical multi function speaker. I think you misunderstand this speaker. It would be cool if your could stereo pair it via Bluetooth. But how often would you use that?

What's a good portable speaker with a charging dock? I want a quick way to charge the thing.

does the roam play Apple Music DIRECTLY through Alexa, IE "Alexa play Pink Floyd from Apple Music". I know it will do it through bluetooth on phone and airplay 2, but I need direct Apple Music support through the Alexa feature.

That’s weird, must be faulty production overtime maybe? When I bought mine when it first released I never have problems with choppy audio, neither with Bluetooth... Are you running 5G wifi? Maybe that could be a problem affecting the connection…. Full blast no problem I use my speaker when I drive around during deliveries… Never had quality drop switching through app and bt. Have you tried fine tuning the settings? I run mine +9 bass and +7 treble… never realized your battery percentage isn’t available to see on bt but I always charge it before bedtime. Plus the alarm system is amazing I never sleep in with it; since it gets louder overtime until you shut it off 😂 roam would definitely be the low typa speaker when you’re camping or hiking that you can play guitar or classical instrumentals. Bass is strong… it fell off my desk as soon as the grip lost its footing on the edge. Let alone the drop protection is huge, I’ve dropped it on hard metal and floors with no quality loss at all. Which is why I stumbled on this video cause I wanted to find a drop test… Sucks to hear that you got a poopoo one… and you’re probably right in terms of better quality for payment but I completely understand your frustration for $180 :/

Yeah had the same issues with the Roam, awful Airplay compatibility. I've got other Airplay devices that have no problem at all but this cuts out and is super choppy and completely unusable. Tried changing wifi, resetting, testing other inputs, getting a replacement. Then googled "Airplay issues Sonos Roam" and realised that I wasn't alone. Super disappointing because the specs are all brilliant it just doesn't work in reality. Returned for a refund in the end. Still on the hunt for a good Bluetooth, Airplay enabled waterproof speaker

Just to start with the fact you need to use the app, have a sonos account and share your location. I returned it.

When it works...it's great. Unfortunately, the dropouts make it suck. So frustrating. (And I don't wanna hear it's my Wifi Network).

One of my roams died yesterday. Almost unused, sitting on the wireless charger, used it for a few hours in total during an year. Poor quality…, now I have a pair in guest Bedroom, single in my Bedroom and thinking which one gonna die next…

Just returned them because the battery is not good and I HATE the WIFI connection I rather have Bluetooth only

Sonos is a clown fest. They said I'm out of warranty on my Roam. It's 1.5 years old. It was several hundred dollars. They said I can return it to them and they'd give me 30% off on a new one. Seriously? I pay $250 and you give me $50 for my device? Please. Get real.

This speaker SUCKS! It was IMPOSSIBLE to setup on my HOME WiFi. The sub, arc and 100s connected right up, not the roam piece of 💩! No support, I’m returning this garbage!

Shame on Sonos I need my money back please because this is terrible. I have to buy a $75 dollars speaker from Amazon and is better than this ridiculous hard to connect speaker

Cause you are listening to sub human music

It sounds great when it works. TURNING IT ON IS A PAIN IN THE ASS. And It doesn't stay connected to my network. What I do it go to Soul town on SXM . It WILL lose the connection but it stays on the Sonos and I leave it on all the time. And the SXM can do a other station on the phone if I want. It 's like a zombie speaker.
