Thanks for stopping by and checking out some of my videos! My name is G and I'm a big fan of tech. Unfortunately, I can't have it all so my channel features tech that I decide to keep or ultimately not keep and why.
Great Video Man, thank you for the info I needed. I am not happy with my sonos Roam...Hate how hard it is to switch from BT to sonos wifi. I know they apparently fixed that on sonos roam 2... but I'm all about dat BASS, so heading to Bestbuy to get mine today.
Since you say A7R5 has low light deficiency would it be acceptable to over expose a 1/2 stop or maybe shoot at 800 iso but process in ACR at 600 iso? What used to be called pushing in film days.
Why isn't any comparisons of these cameras mentioning the lack of pc sync terminal (used to hardwire sync to studio strobes) on the 74? Congratulations for noticing missing sync terminal on A7IV.
According to Sony Hong Kong technical support department when the a7c2 connects to the ecm-g1 microphone, it can only use analog input. If you use a7c2 with other higher-end microphones, you can use digital input or analog input. So when g1 connect to a7c2, there is no fully automatic audio leveling function. However, on other Sony camera models such as the a74, the camera can continue to use digital input and use the fully automatic volume leveling function. Regarding this issue, I sent three emails to Sony's technical support department in Hong Kong, China and Japan. Reflecting my dissatisfaction, why do the same microphone have different reactions in different camera models. I use the a7c2, a relatively entry-level camera, because I hope that using an entry-level microphone, I can adjust the volume completely automatically, without having to spend time manually adjusting the volume.
It's way to easy to end up with an A6700, ZV-1, A7C II, A7 IV, and god knows what other model. What about external recording? Does it overheat when on a tripod with dummy battery?
Interesting review on this camera situation. I think when we're in a decision process, have multiple sources is great and check also creators that are actually using the prodcut and that paid for it is crucial too
I do Real Estate and just picked up the a7iv thinking that’s the one for a “hybrid” thinking that the a7rV was just for photo. I now had someone say the a7rV is great for video. Have you tested its capability in the low light interior video?
Thanks for checking out the video.. I’ve been using Prograde V90 cards for video and their cf express type A for photos on the A7R5! Congratulation on the camera!! Appreciate the sub🙌🏾
Showing an ad on television is a waste as you are not reaching the target audience for your product. Regarding missing features in a review has to do with their personal use and how they find the feature important. What is right for you may be wrong for others. The issue is that Lumix is a small brand but as they focus a lot of video features in mirrorless they garner a small but loyal followers who made videos around Lumix. Many of this You Tubers said that they like their products and begin a channel before Lumix reached to them. One said that why hate us because we like the products. Your argumentation has a lot prejudice in it. If you go to a church then look around then everybody thinks like you and like the same good you like. That is wrong arguments. Hence you are not seeing the Lumix users. Get out of your bubble. That is the problem of a particular country like the USA on political level. Everyone lives in their bubble. Patrick Tomasso went to Sony for autofocus and invested heavily in their lenses and ecosystems. Hence he cannot switch anymore. Lumix users praise the inclusion of many video features in LOWER priced bodies. They said you get a lot for the money. Sorry for the caps locks but ai wanted to focus on the part of lower priced. Patrick Tomasso said the following of Lumix: - a lot of video features in lower priced bodies - vectoscope - shutter angle that Sony does not have - Open Gate in lower priced bodies - real 24p Cinema and not 23.97p like Sony. There are a lot of guys like CineD, Jordan Drake and Chris Nichols using Lumix cameras. Sony users on video side in mirrorless are more into run and gun stuff were AF is important. Where LUMIX is used with their mirrorless cameras are guys who are real beginning Cinematographers making narrative film with actors using manual focus. There are a saying in Spanish: Dime con quien andas te diré quien eres. This means say with who you are dealing then I say who you are. If you are only seeing Sony then you are doing wedding or that run and gun stuff. As a Lumix users said one time to me. I prefer going knitting that doing wedding stuff. He does only films with real actors so narrative filmmaking. This guys are looking for inspiration at Sam Mendes, Guillermo del Torro and Hoyte van Hoytema.
Check out "Camera Conspiracys" that dude isn't paid off and isn't afraid to say negative things about cameras even though its cost him opportunities to get new equipment to test
This speaker SUCKS! It was IMPOSSIBLE to setup on my HOME WiFi. The sub, arc and 100s connected right up, not the roam piece of 💩! No support, I’m returning this garbage!
I just bought the A7C a couple of days ago. I am a street photographer. Small and lightweight are my priorities. I bought this camera for two reasons. I’ve never used a full frame sensor and want to see if there is a difference between full frame and APSC. I also want to try Sony autofocus. I’m setting the camera up so I’m menu diving. Trying to find the features I like. Part of the problem is I need to go into the submenu to find what I’m looking for. Also, there is some differences between what Fuji and Sony call things. Also looking for a lens. Thinking about starting with the Sony 35/1.8. It is hard to make photographs without a lens. Mask On Nurse Marty(Ret)
Great breakdown but I still can't decide. I'm a multiple subject and genre kinda guy mostly wildlife and portraiture I can't decide between the high iso of the 4 VS the high resolution or in my case ability to heavily crop with the r5. Obviously the subjects I shoot often are in low light but there also typically hard to get close to so athe ability to crop after the shot and have a printable image is important. I'm coming from the r3 so I love the cropability in post. I wish the crop mode on the r5 was down to like 33 or so instead of way down to 26! Then the choice would be easy I feel. Any thoughts on this from anyone?
i have 2 a7siii and both have paid for themselves and continue to do so. the lack of firmware updates hasn’t kept me from making money with them. and if i want to focus on a “real” photo, i’ll use my wife’s a7iv 😁
how about high iso in full frame mode in video? a7iv second iso is 3200, a7rv second iso is 2500, so on paper a7rv should perform worse on high iso, is it true?
Good evening sir My Budget is 2.05k INR for Only Body And I'm going to Buy Sony a 7 M4 at the Same time one guy offered me Sony A7R5 at the cost of 215k INR it's 9 months Old camera Shutter Count 35k and here we Go For matter is Our requirment is 60% Vedio 40% Photo Which is Better for Me Can You Help sir Thank You sir
Greate video mate! I have one A7R5. It’s a beast. I use it in events as an hybrid camera for both Photo and Video. I’m looking for another camera. Do you suggest to get another A7RV or an A74. I want the second body on the other shoulder for 50mm or 85 mm portraits along with the close up video shot. I’m pretty much sure that the video on A7Rv is stable. I’m not sure about A74.
Thanks for checking out the video! Totally agree the A7R5 is incredible.. you can’t go wrong with another A7R5 but I would give a strong consideration to the A7IV as your 2nd body. For video at least, it’ll be cleaner in lower light situations and produce a sharper image because it’s down sampling from 7K to 4K. In a kind of way, that kit would complement each other. In terms of out put and deliverables it’ll give more options and quality.. But just bear in mind the “user experience downgrades” like the lower resolution evf, no multi angle screen, a slightly less responsive AF system, and 4K/60 1.5x crop. If you can work around those “downgrades” the A7iv would be a great B cam. Plus it’s $1400 USD less!
@@KeepingThisTech Thank you so much for your response. I’ll consider the A7IV. One more question. By any chance, do you know if the handheld video is good in A74 with 50 1.4 GM? I am sure it’s good in A7RV, but just wanted to know. Thanks again!
Not sure if you touched on dust. I had the A74 for a year but dust was an issue for video and eventually went back to the other manufacturer. Is the A7R5 any better. I heard it has a better anti dust mechanism.
Newer Sandisk/Samsung UHS-I cards can do 150-200 MB/s read speed, but needs a special reader. Most reader can't atm. Can you confirm if this ProGrade is able to? (note I'm not talking about UHS-II but UHS-I)
Did bose gove you a freebee ? Less yakimg and play music and let people decide. Because all that yaking is not helping at all. And bose price of $149 is to high.
Thanks for checking out the video! In my experience with the A7C camera it runs flawlessly! Mines ran for over 2hrs with a dummy battery and I have never had any over heating issues. Highly recommended for long form recording!
