if you want higher income like in western countries, this is a risk and negative side effect of modernization of china, by liberalizing and welcoming all foreign investment, without tight preconditions of direct investment rules. thats why CPC must tighten control again, especially in rural area, by protecting all the farmers last land with new reform of income distribution.

I think society goes into a cycle where it's necessary to lean into collectivism to do a sort of one time push that helps develop in masse infrastructure and the like like FDR did. It slowly got lax in the rise of corporations but will eventually need to be absorbed to push again since the maintenance levels have badly ignored.
