You missed an easter egg, and it might be my favorite. When Mcqueen drove towards the simulator, Cruz said “Where are you going?” McQueen said “To the future!”. Sound familiar? Probably cause Lewis and Wilbur said the same thing in Meet The Robinsons. Please give me credit for the easter egg.

easter egg I found on my own: As Smokey says “She’s gotta beat that pace car out.” Its the same line as in Cars 1 where Darrell said it.

There is another Easter Egg in Cars 3! As some of you may know, there was a Cars short set to be released in 2015 called, “To Protect and Swerve”. Well, it was cancelled, although I don’t know why it was, but I do believe it wasn’t forgotten. In the Crazy 8/Demolition Derby/Thunder Hollow scene, all of the cars were being sent into the arena. One car stood out to me: the police car. Something about the camera angle change and her dialogue just popped out to me. I knew there had to be SOME sort of Easter Egg to that scene and I finally figured it out! Her line, “Protect and Swerve!” is a nod to that cancelled short! It’s not canon, but maybe we’ll see some new clues to more Cars related films in Cars 4! Just thought you’d like to know, Nate! 😊

Another Cars 3 easter egg: The scene right before Lightning Mater, where Mater is "making a sculpture out of junk", he puts a 95 bobble figure on top of the figure, symbolizing that the figure also needs big Lightning McQueen "hats", just like what Mater wears at the races.
