Ball valves are a must have, So much easier to work with... great info! Thanks! 🤘 Billy, Can't wait til you get a remote DSI cut-off (or a DSI bypass) no more back and forth to truck; you're gonna love it brother! 😉
Thank you for the video. If I restrict the flow so there is less pressure coming out of the wand, will the unloader react to that to bypass any water to my buffer tank if needed?
Yes, if the unloader is working properly when it detects an event that was over, pressurize the system it will automatically Unlove back into the buffer tank
So, im new to the pressure washing business. Have done two jobs, and have a lot to learn. Do you attach the ball valve to your water hose or to the hose that connects to your wand?
That's what I was thinking. The only reason I can think of, is if you're running a higher psi machine might make it harder to disconnect a surface cleaner, tip, wand etc, from the quick connect. I'm only running a 3100psi 2.5gpm machine, so I can stop, disconnect my surface cleaner, and connect a nozzle tip for rinsing without turning my machine off. Now, if I needed to disconnect my whole wand from the hose, might be a different story. I can see where the ball valve would be good for rinsing though. I'm just getting into the business and still learning.
Thanks for the video I have a question. I have a 3500 psi machine. I just got a ball valve that’s only 3000 rated. Will it even work ? Or do I have to get a new one ?
So my ball valve end up here it goes into the wand is male. My regular wand has a female end so it works but I just bought a new mtm gun and it’s also a male. What’s the solution? Take the male fitting off the mtm and replace it with a female? So I can also use my other gun if I want to
Yes you should be able to replace the mail and with a female coupling. That should be a three eights inch. You have to take off the mayo and and see if it has inside female threads or either outside male threads then use Teflon. Usually these parts can be found at a local Home Depot or Lowe's. Also we use pressuretek.com
Absolutely, I remember the good old days (bad old days?) of turning off my machine when switching equipment and walking all the way back and forth multiple times
