I'm sorry you had to go through that pain from herniated discs just when you're getting your new business going and what a let down it must have been to have to put it on hold until you healed up, if you healed up cause here's no real guarantee that you could even do that work again. And brother I know that feeling of uncertainty and doubt as to whether you can make it back and it's a hard time for sure but making it through it makes you that much stronger. What do you mean when you say 2500 square feet? Have you estimated the actual square footage of the surface to be cleaned, or is it the amount of square footage under roof, or is it the square footage of the interior of the home? Does it make a difference? I'm getting a lot of pushback on $600 quotes for jobs that take me about an hour. Thanks
@AustinDavis24
@AustinDavis24 5 месяцев назад
I’m talking about the square footage of the actual home. You can Google the address and look at a real estate listing for the home and you can see the square footage. That’s what everyone in industry uses. Yeah if it takes you an hour, $600 is too much money. I would evaluate what you need to make per hour in order to be profitable and charge that.

A new business can say "no" to the client if the job is just outside of their capabilities at that time. They just can't get enough work to make enough money that way. 3) those are the new customers I get.... 650 for my roof tarnations I paid 300 last time. Right, sir number 1 George W bush was president then. The economy has changes drastically. Number 2 that guys phone doesn't work anymore that's why you called me. I've been around over a decade let me be the last co. You need to hire. You like to support a local hard working business right? You like to have you property taken care the right way for a fair price right? Awesome I have next Tuesday or friday available which works best for you? 4) stop worrying about anyone else and what they do and focus on what you want to do, make a plan, and take action.

If they have $15000+ worth of plants, they can afford the $1200 for extra care and attention around said plants. Those are usually the cheapest clients who try to stiff you as well though... Sometimes you bid super high if you know the client is going to be a major PITA. Win-win for you because you either don't have to deal with that client or get paid extremely well to do so LOL

Hey Austin, quick question! You had mentioned in another video that your business made $250k in a year. Is that Revenue or Profits? Im just curious because for your knowledge, experience, and 5+ years in business, I would expect much more than 250k revenue. I mean you also bought out another company in your area. I am 2 years into my pressure washing business, and I’m set to do $300k top line this year. Not trying to speak bad, you’ve done really amazing for yourself and it’s really impressive. I am just curious about the numbers you’re doing. Thanks!
@AustinDavis24
@AustinDavis24 5 месяцев назад
What’s up my man! Yea look I’m not in competition with anyone nor care to be the highest grossing business. I’m a 1-2 man crew and being a 1-2 man crew doing that revenue is actually pretty damn good. I could scale past that and hire but right now it’s not of interest as I’m focusing on building the channel. People always ask me, “Austin how come you don’t have multiple trucks”…. Who says I have to?? I run a pretty lean and profitable ship as it sits. This year will probably do close to $300 or more as a 1-2 man business. I’m well aware that there are people out there who have done it quicker then I have and full kudos to them.

Okay so I said when your first starting out. Obviously when you’re up and running, you should not be operating without insurance. I didn’t have insurance until six months into the business. If everyone that got into business was required to get general liability policy on day. One, most people wouldn’t have started the business because they couldn’t afford it.
