I'm liking the Detective one, it just seems like an oddball among them, and I'm curious if it has any effect outside of its own profession, besides maybe some skill level checks preventing you from doing certain quests or actions.

It looks visually good but its going to be hard to not compare it to Runescape, OSRS or RS3. I'm not sure how I feel about the weird room system, makes it seem really limited to me. I guess we shall have to wait and see.

I’d love to play this on mobile. I know that’s not fashionable among gamers but it looks like the perfect mobile game and I don’t have consoles or a pc atm

I can totally see Brighter Shores working on mobile too, especially with its point-and-click style. I get that mobile gaming isn’t always popular with PC gamers, but Runescape Mobile did pretty well. I think a lot of the skepticism comes from some of the bad mobile-to-PC ports we’ve seen over the years. Hope to see you in the game!

You are correct! Thank you for pointing out my mistake. The article’s mention of the pass not auto-renewing led me to think it wasn’t a recurring subscription. It’s more like RuneScape where you need to maintain membership over time, but without auto-renewal. It reminds me of RuneScape Bonds, where you can choose when to renew instead of being locked into constant payments. Appreciate the clarification, and sorry for the mistake!

@@ABerryPlays No worries at all! I literally fell for the same thing months ago, it's the way he words it that leads you to believe this exact thing. The EULA clarifies it is a subscription for sure.

Wishlisted and waiting to join, I'm seriously interested to see what happens with the game, It could seriously kick off or unalive out within the month or so. Not going to implement any OSRS or RS3 mindset to it. We'll see what we get :)

The Puzzles and quests in Osrs are my least favorite part. All the things I like about it are the modern bosses and raids added since 2014. I just see 0 appeal to this.

I totally get the comparison, especially with Andrew Gower involved, but Brighter Shores seems to focus more on exploration and choices over grinding. I think we’ll have to wait until launch to really see the differences! Hope to see you in game!
