Support for the Cuban people is the most common and easiest. You can literally get it at the airport before you depart from MIA or Ft. Lauderdale. As a Havana Cigar Connoisseur I go to Cuba often. The Cuban people are some of the most amazing, friendly and resilient people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. As you guys know from traveling around the world in the end, where all people there are friendly and amazing people everywhere you go. This was a phenomenal video. I highly recommend that all U.S. citizens watch this video before going to Cuba. The Cuban people love Americans. The issue isn’t between people. It’s between Governments. I’ve personally never felt unsafe in Cuba and I’ve personally never had any issues. Again this is just my experience out of the many times I’ve been to Cuba. Great job on this video. You both did a wonderful job explaining everything.

Great summary, well presented! You guys did your homework. Just a few extra things here: I'm an American living in Austria with a keen interest in all things Cuba. I have been going 3 or 4 times a year for 20 years (except during the worst of Coronavirus). 1). Toursit Card: To begin with, this "Visa" is really more of a tax (Cuba never denies anybody this "Visa"). They call it a 'Tourist Card" and Cuba seems to sell it, in bulk, to various approved agencies around the world that, in turn, can charge whatever they want. This "Visa" was only $25 for many years and now can be well over $100. I buy mine for 50 Euros at a local Vienna travel agency. What's important is that you MUST have this visa before you even board your final connection to Cuba (the airlines will demand to see it). Also, be careful when filling this out this Visa since the Cuban Aduanas (Cuban Passport Control Agents) do not much like things that are crossed out and rewritten. Finally: KEEP YOUR HALF OF THIS VISA WITH YOU UNTIL YOU LEAVE CUBA! The Aduanas (Passport Control Agents will demand to see it upon your exit. 2). This other required document is called "D'Viajeros" and can be filled out online easily and is free. I believe you can fill this out 48 hours ahead of time (some have claimed you can do it even earlier). It is supposed to make your entry into Cuba faster and easier... but as you will soon find out, nothing in Cuba is fast or easy, regardless. You can show this on your phone but I always print it out. The Cubans always seem happier with the printed form. 3). Health Insurance: I have never once been asked for proof of insurance...but I'm always ready to. 4). The Taxies leaving Jose Marti Airport (Havana) and the Varadero Airport will gladly take US Dollars or Euros from you, so try to have smaller bills (no coins). From Jose Marti Airport you should not have to pay more than $25 but that is not to say they will not try to get more out of you. I personally don't quibble with them if they demand $30 or less. You might also ask a fellow traveller if they'd like to share a taxi. If you're going to a similar area you can share the cost. Also, never let a taxi driver try to take your small back pack (with your money, wallet, cellphone and passport) and throw it into the trunk with the big bags. Over the years, a few of them seemed quite intense about this but I have never bothered to find out why. I will then just take a different taxi. The trunk itself often has a film of motor oil on it as well, which you might not see if you land at night. 5). There are money-exchange services at the airport. The current official state rate is about 120 Pesos for every dollar. They have or had an ATM machine which now exchanges money which...I have never trusted enough to use. Try to do the math before you approach the window to exchange money. With jet-lag, it can be quite confusing if you try to change several hundred dollars at once. 6). The Black Market: While technically illegal, nearly everyone in Cuba uses it...especially for money exchange. Usually, not always, the best person to ask about this will be the owner of your Casa Particualr. Be discreet, do not ask about his if there are other people hanging about. The current unofficial (Black Market) rate is (as of June 5th, 203) 203 Pesos for every Euro …and 195 for evert USD dollar. Remember, the price of restaurants and such are pegged to the unofficial rate. So, it all adds up quickly. Your Casa Particular owner, by the way, will usually appreciate if you pay in dollars or euros. The Peso is, increasingly worthless. Note: I noticed on my last trip there (January 2nd), that the state owned cafes and restaurant were now demanding credit-cards over any cash. If you're an American...your credit cards will NOT work there anyway. I find the quality of most state-owned restaurants and cafes to be poor quality anyway. 7). Jineteros: Pronounced "Hee-neh-terro". Jinetero means "Jockey" in Spanish...only in this case, they ride the tourists. This small army of Cubans will try to sell you something every 5 minutes. They will ask you for the time and then, "Where joo frohm?", hoping to start a conversation. 98% of every Cuban who approaches you will be a Jinetero. Mostly harmless, they are nevertheless intense. Be firm. Do not engage them. They are not your friends. Good luck! Have fun!

I think Southwest offers the best deal. I paid $80 for visa at the gate with Southwest plus 2 bags fly for free. Much cheaper than American Airlines or JetBlue. Great video.

“Support of the Cuban people” got it!! I traveled to Cuba in 2017 when travel opened up from US to cuba. I traveled through delta from nyc. I went for religious reasons since my religion has a branch in Cuba. I was also never asked for an itinerary.
