I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again your skin care and product knowledge is just impeccable 👌🏻 I am an aesthetician and you still teach me things 🙏🏻 👌🏻❤️ always enjoy your videos girl ❤️😍
ELI *** so to my knowledge they are the same thing but one why to spell it is European? I think! What have you found with your research? Any schools close? I know things are very different depending where you live!! But I would suggest 1. Know your WHY! I went to school for selfish reason and I don’t regret it, it has brought me to where I am right now (a makeup artist with MAC) but it’s not cheep so make sure you will love where you can go after school because in spa’s it’s a lot of mani and pedicures depending 🤷🏼♀️ 2. Go into salons and spa get services done talk to them ask what they love and why!! In my experience some small shops are hard to work for (pay issues and such) also a big thing for makeup and salons and spa is Saturday’s are typically a must!!! So be ready to give them up!! Feel free to reach out to me on YT or insta @beautybymarie.claire if you have any other questions or just wanna chat!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
love this, not enough people talk about the importance of eye cream and I feel like when people talk about skincare, eye cream is the least common recommendation, but it has honestly made a huge difference in my skin finding a good one
well i mean, if you watch videos done by actual certified dermatologists, they often skip eye cream/ it’s not part of their routine at all. if you watch dr. dray, she’s an awesome dermatologist youtuber who kinda debunks all these things that people see as “necessary” and she details how eye cream is essentially just a tiny tube of moisturizer with ridiculous price inflation. It’s just about keeping that area moisturized and sun protected, which doesn’t need to really have its own separate product but yknow.... marketing
@@thedepths432 @@thedepths432 I definitely think some eye creams are overpriced/overhyped but for me, if I use the moisturizer that works for my face, especially if it has spf, near my eye area, I get milia and clogged pores, and I dont see the brightening/wrinkle reducing/depuffing effects that I get from a more affordable eye cream
La Roche Posay also has an eye cream that’s safe for eyelids too. It’s the Toleriane Ultra Eye Cream and is around $25. It seems like every eye cream or serum I’ve ever used ends up in my eyes and is very irritating 😩 so I’m going to try your orbital bone trick and see if that helps.
Omg I’m so happy I came across this video . I’m recently been suffering from puffy eyes and I wanted help on which products to use. Seeing this video game me insight on my options. Thanks so much queen 👏🏾🙏🏾
I developed problem with puffiness and under-eye bags once I turned 36 last year and I can say that Fresh black tea firming eye serum has been the best product I’ve found. It instantly wipes out the under-eye bags. But I would really love to find a perfume-free alternative. Why do Fresh have to put perfume in everything?? I already have sensitive eyes and I’m really worried I’m going to sensitize it further.
Wow! I have always applied eye creams all over the eyes, under and lids. I’ve been using the Elemis pro collagen eye serum for over a month morning and night and I can tell a huge difference in my under eye!!
Hi! I’m new to your channel but have really been enjoying your skincare videos. I LOVE how descriptive, honest and thorough your reviews are. I am 42 and was curious if you have any experience or favorite skin care products for my age group or if you know of any other reviewers you could recommend. Thank so much!!
Love this thanks so much! QQ - when doing your makeup in the morning what order should this be in? i.e. 1) eye cream, 2) spf moisturiser 3) makeup? thanks again!!
Can you please explain/ help w/ a question I can't find an answer to? Is there an eye cream that is sweat proof/waterproof? I sweat a lot & cry pretty quick. When it happens, My concealer breaks apart. I only use eye cream and concealer, no powder. I have tried so many things like waiting for it to dry completely, dry somewhat, immediately putting it on, only putting on a little bit, putting on a little bit more, I am using my ring finger, no tools. It looks good upon application but once I start to sweat or cry it breaks apart and sticks in the creases and I am not applying a lot of concealer. The most tiniest amount. I have tried so many eye creams and they all have been an epic fail. I'm currently using Clinique all about eyes which doesn't do it as bad but I'd still like to find one that doesn't do it at all. I just received the brand honest, by Jessica Alba. The eye cream says it's a depuff + c eye cream. I will give that a try but came across your video and wanted to ask you if there is an eye cream specifically for sweat proof and or waterproof. I don't need a deeply moisturizing one either if that helps. My eyes are very sensitive and unfortunately one of the lancome eye creams I tried ended up giving me milia! I appreciate your videos and hopefully I'll head back from you soon.
Side note: I find gel creams break me out, like cliniques 72 hr one and belief aqua bomb and neutrogena hydra cream! (My skin is very similar to yours) Have you or anyone ever broken out from gel moisturizers?
Braelyn Williams you might be losing moisture. A lot of those gel moisturizers are not occlusives. So you end losing hydration throughout the day. Occlusives seal all the moisture in. You should try the Hado Labo perfect gel. It’s in a gold jar. About $15 on amazon. It’s a hyaluronic acid and it’s amazing under a moisturizer. And doesn’t break me out. And almost everything does. You put it on wet skin after washing and then seal it with a moisturizer. I use the cerave moisturizing cream that comes in the tub. Some of them come with a pump. Hope this helps.
Tha k you for such an informative video! I have tried so many eye creams, but like you I dont have many eye concerns, and I just don't see major differences with any i have tried. I'll be adding a few you recommended to my list to try next 😊
Thanks to you I’ve been using eye cream for about a week now, for the first time ever and I’m 31! Better later than never 🤷🏼♀️ You do apply it after your face moisturizer??
Virginia Gouin I apply it after & that’s what I’ve always been taught but some people will say to apply it before. For me it makes sense to do the targeted applications last. Also i feel like if you do eye cream first and then you have any overlap when you apply your moisturizer your just spreading your eye cream all over your face by accident 🤷🏻♀️
I have always had wrinkles under my eyes from a very young age. So, I never payed attention to it. I don't know what to do. I would like to get rid of it and I am only 17 right now.
Darn I wish I would’ve seen this before purchasing the Mario Badescu Olive Eye Cream online last night 🤦♀️ Have you ever used it? If so, any thoughts? BTW: I love your videos! I trust your opinion 100% I just need you to come out with a skincare line that way I know I can trust it 😄
Is it OK to use a very fat cream under your eyes? It has no fragrance and is mostly natural. It's a creslam that pregnant human use here in Portugal to prevent that red stripes.
Does Estée Lauder supercharged eye cream cause irritation? I have read some really bad reviews. I am Skeptical to buy it or not because other Estée Lauder products work really well for me.
I have horrible millia! It’s gotten better since I’ve started an actual routine 😅 but could you do a video about how you treat it! (New follower, if you already have a video I’ll find it! 👌🏻)
I feel like everyone I use my eye cream it turns my eyes really red and if anything it exaggerates my sunken eyes and dark circles! I’m not sure what eye cream I should use, any recommendations?
Maybe you put it too near your eye that makes it red or you are allergic to some of the ingredients in the eye cream you have used. That's why it is best to test it out first if you don't know what causes the bad reaction :)
I’m always testing specific brands for 2 month reviews so I can’t really do a current routine but my next video should be my holy grail skincare products so look out for that :)
Loved this video! I am an eye cream fanatic as well and I have tried just about all of the eye creams you have shown, except the Estée Lauder eye cream and that will be the next one I try.. I bought the new eye cream from Biossance, it’s the Squalane + Marine Algae eye cream and so far I am loving that one.. I have seen the fine lines under my eyes soften up and are barely there and it wears so good under concealer.. Have you done a review on the Biossance brand? If not, could you possibly do a review? Great video!! ❤️
Eye creams are useful if for example you have oily skin and you start seeing wrinkles on your under eye area. You'd clearly need a richer product that you couldn't put on your entire face. A specific cream for that specific area is the perfect solution.
@@TheFate23 Wrinkles form due to collagen degradation in the dermis, however moisturisers tend to lie on the surface of the epidermis and do not penetrate the dermis as it is usually too deep. Any cream that can resolve this collagen degradation in the deeper layers of the skin would be considered a medicine, which is why moisturisers, which are not medicines, are sold off the counter. This is a common rationale why dermatologists recommend a single moisturiser to be used over the whole face - moisturisers themselves do NOT cure skincare woes. They can provide hydration to the skin or seal in moisture and lessen transepidermal water loss, but adding different types of moisturisers to different areas of skin is just generally not an approach to skincare. A different approach for e.g. would be preventative care by using retinOIDS over the whole face, instead of specific creams for specific areas -> this has been recommended not just by derms i follow, but by my own dermatologist in my country as well.
@@jonathanlee3615 "Any cream that can resolve this collagen degradation in the deeper layers of the skin would be considered a medicine" This is false and i really doubt your dermatologist told you that, most likely you didn't understand what he/she teached you. There are countless ingredients that have been scientifically proven to boost collagen production like retinol, aha/bha especially glycolic acid, vitamin c and peptides, all ingredients you can find in over the counter products. "moisturisers themselves do NOT cure skincare woes. They can provide hydration to the skin or seal in moisture and lessen transepidermal water loss" Completely false. Moisturizers do a lot more than simply hydrate your skin, for example they can remove hyperpigmentation, if you choose one that suppress melanin production. You are really confused.
@UCpMzZIwLfoqgztc4-c1qOVQ retinols are not the active form that can promote cell turnover in the skin. the active form would be found in products such as differin gel, the active ingredient being adapalene. If you do in fact read the research, the research studies used to prove the efficacy of retinols are small which may or may not indicate anything, but definitely pales when compared to the extensive studies done on actual medical skincare such differin/isotretinoin etc. what also needs to be clarified is the use of your aforementioned acids in solving the problem of wrinkles. While it is true that these products promote collagen production, the root cause of wrinkles is the degradation and formation of altered collagen fibres. These fibres are NOT replaced by the ECM, and while increased collagen production may reduce the appearance of wrinkles, because the root cause, being the damaged collagen fibres, is not resolved, the wrinkle will never truly go away. also, a moisturiser MAY contain other active ingredients targeting specific cellular mechanisms, however, i am referring to basic, simple ones that do what their names suggest - that is, moisturise! Sorry if that was confusing. Perhaps you should look away from your pseudoscience.
Up until this year I would put eye cream all over my eyelids 😳😳 it make sense not to when you really stop to think about it. I cringeeeee when I think about all the stuff that might have gotten into my eyes. I want the fresh and estee lauder eye creams but the prices hurt me 😂
I have no idea if this is true but when I worked at Lush I heard a story about a girl who had to have surgery on her eye and when the opened up her eye socket there was a thick layer of concealer & eye cream that had built up that they literally had to scrape out and I think about it at all the time 😷
