Kimi is an enigma, and I love him for it. He’s deserved far more wins than he has, and that includes a couple of extra titles, too. Kimi is focused, driven and a cracking bloke. Underneath the facade is a humble, funny and caring man. You’re right Mr Illman, it will be a sad day when Kimi hangs up his F1 lid. You rule Iceman!🤘🏻😎💯❄️❄️

@@nickhill934 Genuine distaste for media is extremely valid. I just got off the BBC website complaining about that f/w Andrew Benson. Who always drops those snide little remarks, eg."2005 Monaco - that was because of the car being so fast". Others also with those dumb questions about motivation starting way back in 2009. The dumb media had no idea Alonso was already signed to Ferrari in 2008 because of Santander bringing in $50m per year with him. Had nothing to do with Kimi and was evidenced by them re-hiring him in 2014. It is exactly like Kimi says you have a great race and everyone goes nuts for you,the minute something goes wrong technical problem etc and no-one wants to know you. I wouldn't trust a single source outside your team (close friends )in that paddock its just one big viper pit, and its evident by how other "top" drivers play games in the press. What we love about Kimi is best described in one word. "GENUINE"! It comes through in his racing, he doesn't lie about stuff on track either, he is prolifically fast and undeniably fair. I've never seen a single racer who is at the very top of both those lists Always!. For me that makes him the best.

You can't deny respect to Kimi. It takes a real man to be able to walk through your life and do EXACTLY what you want, whilst carrying a sense of humour, an insane work ethic, a down to earth perspective and respect for others on and off track.

A little story There was autograph session on Russian GP and it was so crowded so not a chance to get a sign, I was about to cry when Kimi just got off from stage and gave me his signed card. Simply the best!

I remember the fuss when Kimi started in F1 - he was considered to be way too young. These days there are teenagers running in top teams. They have Kimi to thank for that.

As MyKoira said, the problem was people (I believe one of the most famous one was then-FIA president Max Mosley) thought he didn't have enough single seater experience (just 23 races) & that can be dangerous, not because he was too young. Alonso is 2 years younger & also debuted on the same race, while Button (several months younger) already have a full season in F1

Truly great, rich & precious video! Liked & subscribed! My favorite driver... I grew up cheering for him. He should be a multiple WC. As a character, he is quite simply unmatchable. I know for a fact that I'll be shedding some tears the day he retires :-( I hope I will have the opportunity to shake his hand one day. GO KIMI, FOREVER.
