In philosophy, we all study logic in a pretty elementary way (unless you specialize) but it blew my mind when my professor explained that you can express "And" with MIN{x, y} and "Or" with MAX{x, y}
Yeah that's a smart way to look at it. Minimum of the two signals is the AND, so both need to be high for that to be the minimum and MAX for the OR ... clever! Thanks for that.
@@DivKid That's right. In logical systems with only two truth values, i.e. True and False, we can represent them as 1, and 0 respectively, and then write e.g. MIN{1,0} = 0; MIN{1,1} = 1. Whereas for OR, MAX{1,0}=1; and only MAX{0,0} = 0.
And back with a bang! Brilliant, clear and informative explanation of logic in a modular setup. I have struggled with some of these concepts before but feel enthused and enlightened now. Fabulotastico!
Welcome back Sir DK! The guitar face made me laugh! And I'm really grateful for this dive into logic, even if it times it might not seem quite so very logical (unlike Dr Spock). It's super powerful in essence but can most certainly be intimidating, so thanks for making and sharing your knowledge!
What are you feeding into the logic module to produce the gated fuzz effect? I imagine one of the inputs is the clean signal coming from the guitar. What is the other input?
Yeah that moves around a lot work wise. I'm in an unfinished studio room so the storage to having things out to hand, to full modular case ratio isn't there yet. I think it's funny though, some people are triggered by it I think but they're all placed carefully and all working.
nothing trashed at all, carefully placed and re arranged regularly. No spare case to drop them in and no time to carefully organise and bubble wrap them all between jobs. They all work and are cared for I assure you. ... some fantastic modules in that pile too.
We missed you! Very much so in fact. Are you back? Hope so! ((: Whenever you upload, I'm gonna hit like and watch it. (; Proud to be a patron as well. (:
Back ... and with the module I have sitting and waiting in the shopping basket. Going to watch now, probably hitting the 'check out' button after this. :)
