Definitely a topic that deserves attention. I too have had a lot of viewers comment that they felt microcurrent had negatively affected their facial fat.
@@claudiaglows I used a strictly microcurrent device that is US manufactured and FDA approved at only 335 uA I experienced fat loss. Does the expert at least know how much microcurrent uA the face produces cause if I know the answer to that then I can use microcurrent wisely since it definitely can cause damage in my experience.
@@III-mu4ynThis is the FIRST I have heard that microcurrent can cause fat loss. I can't afford to lose facial fat. I have some made in C microcurrent devices and recently I purchased a Ziip. I feel comfortable continuing using the Ziip, but not the knockoffs.
Microcurrent does not cause fat loss! If this was true then i wouldbe usng this deice on my belly and i would be fat free 😂 and boy have i tried this on my belly... Its doesnt work! It also doeant do much in the long run except probably make skin look plumper in the moment, i mean youre dreaming if you think a machine is going to stop the ageing process. And problem is people like me (im28) started using this quite young and trust me i see no difference in my face BUT now that im 28 heading towards 30 i notice a natural decline in my face fat anyway and im assuming its the normal ageing process. I notice this fat loss in my whole body though not just my face! Thats how i know its just an ageing prcocess. Too may people be usng thse devices including Tret and thinking omg i will now stop ageing...no you will still age... Perhaps just better than most. And remember if kim Kardashian who has billions in her bank cant even fix her jowls, and stop the aging process you best believe we all have no chance
Yhis was very useful information, I never knew microcurrent was cellular.. Much of the info it is just a temporary solution to give a little lift to the skin. Really happy to know it has effective long term results that stimulates collagen and elastin. So many have dismissed MC perhaps that is why.
Hi Nicole, I am glad this was helpful. I do think the immediate list we get from MC is temporary, but like you said, the effects on collagen and elastin are lasting Wishing you a great rest if your week x
This video is so biased, it makes me cringe. You ask the manufacturer of a microcurrent device if her device causes any side effects and expect to hear what?!!! That she admits it causes harm? There are no studies to support her claims but also no studies providing evidence for the contrary. She can basically tell us anything. So her story will be nice, since she wants to make money.... Personally I have watched a lot of RU-vidrs showing their before and afters with microcurrent and a lot of them showed signs of facial fat loss. There are many treatments like microneedeling, backed by science. I would stick to those options.
@@claudiaglows I'm sorry but even if I'm certain you're being sincere in your answer, the creator of Topilase for example, who is a doctor too, also said there could be no fat loss with her cream. However, a lot of people have experience skin sagging and fat loss with topilase... Dr Nyagen may be honest but in any case, she may also lie or protect her company because she can't destroy it
I just saw before and after pictures online of the microcurrent device and in the after photo, the girl's face was sunken and hollow so clearly it causes facial fat loss. 😢
I finally had a chance to rewatch and really pay attention…great info and the Dr. Explained everything so clearly! time to dust off my micro current…and I can’t wait to visit and play with your devices! 😘💕❤️
I have used the ZIIP over a year and see no fat loss . My understanding is fat loss happens with things that produce heat . There is no heat with ZIIP. I LOVE Y ZIIP. 💜💜
hey, I have a very specific question. i think you have two ziip halo devices ? can you please test if you hold only one contact per device to the skin, does the current go from one device to the other? it would be so great to treat the face with two devices. i only have one device and unfortunately i can't test it.
She has a big vested interest in keeping her company's microcurrent products popular and telling people that it doesn't cause fat loss. There is conflict of interest here. Also, microcurrent is used for fat loss with body contouring treatments.
Hi Stacy, I have heard that as well. I think it refers to the instant lift microcurrent can give, but the collagen and elastin production is def. longterm x
I heard about that as well, some people say they'd lost facial fat after using microcurrent devices. I've been using a Bear for quite a long time, but personally I haven't had any issues with facial fat loss.
Thank you for great content....Would you be willing to do a side by side comparison, where you don't use the micro current device on one half of the face for say 2 or 3 months? Just to see what happens...It may be a sacrifice for you; though I think there'd be lots of interest.
Thank you Claudia for this video. I’m so glad that microcurrent does not cause facial fat loss. I love microcurrent and use it daily even for only five minutes in the morning. I have several micro current devices such as the Pico toner, Myolift mini and the Clareblend mini. I’m currently looking into purchasing the TriWave. I really do love the result of microcurrent and it’s some thing I don’t ever want to be without.
@@claudiaglows Thank you. I reached out to Jane Mann about her microcurrent which is white and it comes with the lift. From what I watched on one of her videos it has a combination of currents that incorporates the pico. I am waiting for a response. I think may purchase that instead.
Thank you for your insight! I've not heard of those device brands. I've only used NuFace Mini. Do you happen to know if it uses the 'correct' wavelengths (is that the correct term?) to be congruent with the body and not harm cells? thank you!
Hello Claudia!! Loved this presentation! I have been using my microcurrent device also on my crepey upper arm skin and oh my goodness!! It has improved the sag lines and crepiness sooo sooo much!! I'm thrilled! Am hoping to wear sleeves t- shirts again!! Just love how informative your videos are to watch!! Thank you!
Hi Lorelei, thank you for your lovely comment. And wow, that is so great to hear!!! I am so happy for you. I need to start using my MC on my body. Wishing you a wonderful rest of your week xx
Hi Gorgeous, What great reassurance and I'm going to stop being lazy and get back to microcurrent. I'm in such awe of this Dr. and she speaks English beautifully! Thanks to you both for laying out such great info. Have a great day! xo
Hi beautiful, I am glad you enjoyed this. And I am glad it inspired you to use MC again I hope you are well and the weather is getting a bit better. It got gold here again, but I think spring is just around the corner Sending you a big hug xx
You say a current “too strong” is negative. Can you please tell up exactly the threshold of amps? All microcurrent faces are different, so I want to know what settings to put it on and how many times to use it for a week. Thank you!
So Dr Nuygen says that a current up to 600 micro amps is beneficial. I think that most at home devices are somewhere around that. But EMS is usually much stronger
Claudia -great info …here’s some of questions: the Doc mentions the importance of identifying EMS vs Microcurrent currents, do we KNOW if Skeen patch is in the right zone for stimulating cellular health of skin versus just muscle stim? And also is it a sign to turn down your microcurrent devices when you get visible muscle twitching? If so, Skeen does create muscle contraction which makes me wonder.
Hi, thank you for your kind words. Dr Nyugen created Skeenpatch. Before I started using it, I met with her in person and she explained the current and program to me at length. She said that in the 30 min cycle there can be a tiny bit of muscle twitching, as the program goes through a different frequency. This does not last long, and should stop as soon as the frequency changes. In a 30 min cycle there are different frequencies, so it is not always the same. You will at times feel a bit of pulsing, at others a slight current and here and there a tiny muscle jump. Apparently she modeled this program after a Nobel prices winning discovery regarding bone healing. Dr Nyugen did stress several times that we do not want to turn the device up to high. I have turned the device on to high of a setting before and it def. contracted my muscles, but as soon as I turn it down, it stops doing so. For the most part I have the device on setting one or two, not any higher. Do you get continued muscle contraction/ twitching at a low level?
@@carlingus7639 as long as it is not continuously, it is just part of the program according to Dr Nyugen. I really do think she knows what she is talking about and created an amazing device. Please keep us posted on your results x
@@srachui9150 she did not say we are not supposed to use them. She said a frequency from 100 to 650 micro amps is where cell regeneration happens and the program goes through those frequencies. I hope this makes sense x
I can see how that can happen if a current is used that is way too strong. That is another reason to stay within the physiological current as Dr Nyugen stresses
Hi, that’s a great question. Personally I used micro current after my sculptra treatments, but you might want to ask your provider to be in the safe side x
very interesting video - thank you Claudia! Going to haul out one of my micro-current devices. I use my LED mask the most b/c it's just so easy and I'm a bit lazy :)
I am glad this was interesting. I hear you, microcurrent can be a bit time consuming and it is not as relaxing as LED, but hopefully you will enjoy your treatments. Thank you for being here xx
Wow! My NuFace Trinity and my DPL LED Red Light panels have been sitting here collecting dust because I thought they don't really do much of anything! I guess I need to dust them off and start using them every day! Thank you for this information.
Outstanding video and so helpful. Between your analysis and Dr. N's science explanation, I feel comfortable with my choices of devices to use .... I think consistency is the key with any product and device...... I tend to slack off and not be diligent with the treatments lol..... Many thanks again Claudia, I appreciate your very helpful videos 🙏💗
Thank you for this info. Nowadays skepticism and questioning are necessary even with these RU-vid “ doctors” like Dr Dray… when does she actually spend time in a practice with real patients since she seems to spend SO MUCH TIME online on all social platforms with daily uploads?
Hi Beautiful Claudia, thanks for this interview. I also have seen amazing results with Microcurrent. I also get this question a lot. it's great to get an expert to confirm. Have a wonderful week! xoxo
Thank you for this video. I'm so glad that microcurrent is affective on its own because I'm unable to use light therapy due to being on immunosuppressive medication. Nice to know microcurrent has its own benefit.
Thanks Claudia. On a different topic, your skin is looking great lately! - your face is more toned and lifted than ever. I mean you always look great, but have noticed a positive change recently, maybe for past 2-3 videos. Have you been doing anything different lately (last 2-3-4 months)?
Hi Adela, thank you for your thoughtful comment. You know, I think the Adipeau might actually be working. I am doing my 6 months review of it next Tuesday xx
@@claudiaglows Hi Claudia, I too noticed a change in your face. You look younger. It could def. be a combination. However you will see in my next video, which is the 6 months Adipeau update, that places where I did not have sculptra have actually gotten fuller...
Hi , Claudia. It could be that some people experience fat loss and others don’t. Many people have indeed been complaining of having noticed fat loss after using micro current devices.
Dr.Nguyen has a lovely diction. I do appreciate her clear and easy to understand explanations. Thank you again for the "naked truth" and empowering us with scientific back knoledge.
Micro current and LED devices shouldn’t cause you to lose facial fat. They tighten and lift the underlying muscles of the face, therefore giving a more taught, defined, and possibly slimmer look io the face.. You’d be surprised to know that the more powerful & high intensity micro current machines could actually bulk up the muscles on the face, therefore making the face look heavy and bulky. As soon as you stop Microcurrent or LED.. the face goes back to the way it was.. it might take time, but it always does.
You are a good candidate for facial fat reposition. I don’t know why you don’t go get a surgery and avoid all these bypass solutions that are of course reducing facial fat. Some doctors have already admitted, the devices can melt it depending on the temperature used
Hello Claudia, I am not very clear if the "ems" current does remove the fat from the face, because I use it to firm my face and now I'm afraid...Thank you so much
Thank you beautiful Claudia You are glowing. I started with microcurrent devices many years ago but abandoned it because I didn’t see the results I wanted and I also into diy and it always bumps with my treatments🤷♀️. So red light therapy is my absolute all time favorite at home device and I have a lot of devices gathering dust.
Hi sweet Yael, it is always great to hear from you, thank you for your kind words! I think it you are doing a bunch of diy, you will see great results, even without these at home devices. Wishing you a wonderful rest of your week xo
Hello everyone, I used nuface mini 2x5 min and my nightmare began, my skin and eyes became extremely dry I couldn't stand them anymore, I also had all the symptoms of a thyroid disorder yet my blood tests seemed good! I live in France and doctors think that a beauty machine at home can't create this but it's not true we are victims of anti-aging beauty! The brand of course remains deaf if it had happened to a star when I don't wish anyone it would certainly be different I saw in the FDA reports other similar speeches and even worse!
@@claudiaglows Thank you for your return Claudia unfortunately I did it! And I told them that I was not the only one to have had serious effects quite similar to mine and that I would like to know that it happened to them! Unfortunately they are deaf I didn't get back to my emails apart from automatic emails. However, their client's health should be important and I am surprised to see that the FDA reports date from more than 2 years ago why the updates of the warnings on the notices have not been updated we are very much on the support groups to have suffered serious consequences and it is horrible to experience it today. Thank you for your support
Oh my gosh her English was perfectly fine ! Very good to know that our beloved devices do not cause facial fat loss used in moderation . I want to make a batch of your Almond milk and I cannot find the recipe in any of your videos , I only remember having to soak them over night. Could you pls give me the recipe or link your video . Okay I bought the Theraface Pro facial device about a week ago & I have not used the microcurrent attachment yet from being skeptical about losing the little bit of facial fat I have left! (am 65 yr.s old). I'm glad I watched this😊 So then it's the RF & the ultrasonic therapy to be aware of! Ah Ha!
Thank you for finding the engaging Dr. Nguyen to provide the expert's info! Always much to learn here with you. (Regarding her concerns about her English language, when you are that brilliant, it truly doesn't matter!) ~~Jane
Dearest Claudia...Thanks for being a detective for us. You do such a wonderful job of getting information to help us all learn anti-aging techniques! You are beautiful....keep up the good fight (anti-aging that is) :)
Thank you for being here. I think it really depends on the modality and device and we need to look at each of them separately . But for the most part I would think that at home devices are not string enough to cause fat loss x
Yes. I watched the bumps rise up the first time. My rep said change the gel. I use lowest setting but still get inflammation and irritation. Skin feels hot still after lowest setting yesterday and washing gel off afterwards
Just recently bought my mini hifu v3. 0. I'm just wondering, what's the difference between the pulse frequency and the micro current? Because I've been seeing alot about fat loss. Thanks.
I would def. try a different gel. Microcurrent should not be irritating. You could even just try some mineral water to see how that feels, before you go out and get another gel. The mineral water won't be as slippery, so you will have to keep reapplying, but it will contuct
@@claudiaglows I was spritzing with smart water but I went back to tap after thinking maybe the shocks were worse with too many minerals? Can you recommend a gel I can get in England?
@claudiaglows hi, I just wanted to thank you. I decided to use a cup of water with a tiny bit of the gel, my skin feels much better than any previous attempts. Now im more hopeful of results. Though I'm a bit concerned for my broken capillaries. Thanks for the advice ❤️
Hello, can you ask the dr. how much microcurrent the face naturally emits so as to not exceed that when using Nuface. Is it between 70 to 220 uA?. When using 335 uA, the highest setting, I lost facial fat. I asked Nuface if their devices contain EMS and they said no strictly microcurrent. Which devices do you recommend that you know are true microcurrent? I am a little confused about what the doctor said one moment it is mentioned that doing to much microcurren more is not better at 5:30 and then at another point it is mentioned you can use microcurrent daily at 11:54. Did she mean that if its within the normal microcurrent our face naturally produces? Because you state you can use it as much as possible but that might be your interpretation of what she said and not what she actually meant. I will tell you this though just because someone with Dr. next to their name says something does not always mean they are always accurate. I have gone to so mnay doctors just to find out they were wrong after I questioned them and did my own research and based off of my own experience microcurrent caused my fat loss. It may not happen to most but it did happen to me. So people let this be a lesson, just because there is no current evidence or any evidence about something does not mean it is false. There are many things in life that we do not have evidence of yet they exist.
If you do not trust what this doctor has to say, I’m not sure why you want me to ask her more questions Dr Nyuage was kind enough to spend her time and knowledge with us. What do you do with this information, it’s up to you. I also highly encourage you to do your own research. You are correct, not every expert has all the answers. As far as true microcurrent, I do know know that Dr Nyugens device is true microcurrent. As far as what else is on the market, it is hard to tell, you would have to check with every company separately. I do know that the.ZIIP and the pico toner are also true Microcurrent. As I have mentioned before, I am not sure if the Nuface is. But, what dr Nyugen was saying, is that as long as it is true, Microcurrent, and add a physiological level, it is difficult to overdo it with a Microcurrent, since were basically just mimicking the bodies on current
@@claudiaglows I contacted her myself. First of all everyone has a right to questions things that seem off or for further clarification and for things that were not mentioned in a very short video. It is not up to you to tell people what to do. I have saved my life because I questioned things from doctors and if I listened to people like you telling me if i dont trust something than why ask I would be dead by now. It is not right for you to say that. In this case there is very little evidence if any of microcurrent causing fat loss yet it did. I am not alone I know others want answers too.THATS WHY I NEED TO ASK PEOPLE BECAUSE THERE IS NOT ENOUGH RESEARCH ON IT SINCE IT MAKES A LOT OF MONEY FOR A LOT OF WEALTHY PEOPLE. If they came out with the true they would be out of business, do you not get that? My point is what is the physiological level of microcurrent the face naturally produces? She says that and yet she does not even mention what the level is, if she does not know the level than what is the point of saying that? How would anybody know how to not overdo it until they cause damage because no one ever mentions the normal range of microcurrent the face naturally produces so as to not exceed it. That is where the answer lies. I cant find the answer in any research. Nothing I am saying is invalid. I experienced fat loss at only 335 uA and now I know but it was at a cost, I had to be my own guinea pig to realize this fact. Now I am wondering if anywhere between 70 uA to 220 uA (lowest to middle setting on the device I used) is considered the normal range thanks to my own efforts, I came this far.
@@III-mu4yn I did not mean to tell you to not question things and I apologise if that is how I came across. In fact, I think it is always great to question things and to do out own research instead of blindly trusting experts. I do the same, and like you, would probably not be here any longer if I did not, since I was steered wrong by many professionals. What I meant to say is, that if you do not trust what Dr Nyuagen says, why ask her more questions rather than to try to find the answers from a source you might trust more. All I am trying to do is find some experts who hopefully have the answers to the things we want to know. They might not give us all the information we are looking for, which is probably impossible in a video. I hope you will find the answer you are looking for and will be able to continue using your microcurrent device without side effects.
@@claudiaglowscan you ask her what are the physiological levels of current our face naturally emits? Because without that info how do we know what level of microcurrent not to exceed?
Well, unfortunately, I did experience facial fat loss from using the Foreo Bear microcurrent device. I used it as directed and it happened pretty quickly over the course of a few months (this was at age 34 too). I have never used any other device or had any treatments. I don't use tretinoin either. I was shocked to have that outcome from microcurrent. Unfortunately, I experienced no benefits either. No improvement in skin texture/fine lines/wrinkles/sagging etc (not that I have much of the latter). The microcurrent destroyed the fat in my buccal and temple area very quickly. I have seen that microcurrent is used in salon to destroy fat on the body. As microcurrent supposedly works by increasing ATP (burning more energy) and red light works the same way, I am terrified to use a red light mask in case it has the same effect!
Claudia I am in a quandary, I have a Dr Pen, Dr Pen Stamp, and Maysama Mask. I really like them, as well as use them appropriately. I am 73 and want to get either a Zipp Halo OR Nira Pro. I have researched both and I just can't decide which I should add into my skin treatment. I hope y can help me make the decision as to which one would help me most. Many thanks
Hi Carol, personally, I’m not a fan of the Nira. I have not tried the new version, but I had the old version and used it for several months as directed and did not see any difference. Not only that, but I burned myself a couple of times with it. If it will, I would definitely get the Ziip
Hi, thank you for being here. Radio frequency can definitely help a bit. We’re lifting and tightening. Personally, I don’t use it, since it is quite time consuming, and I have not seen that much of a difference with it. But I have seen other people using it regularly and sigrid was always with it.
Hi Claudia! Long time viewer first time commenting here! I was thinking of buying a neurotris electrocurrent machine. I am interested in the sx3800 thought I saw you talking about this brand for a small period of time but then you no longer mentioned this brand any more. I know the pico toner was popular for a while. I wanted to ask if you had any opinions on the neurotris brand or if you had any negative experiences/feedback on using or heard of any thing from you loyal fans? Thank you Claudia
Hi, it is lovely to hear from you. I really liked the pico toner, but the reason I no longer mention it, is that it is a bit complicated to use and the treatments take quite a bit of time. I found myself using it less and less and going to something that is easier and faster to use. That being said, I did get great results with the pico toner and might at some point, when I have more time, start using it again. I would say if you can afford it and are willing to make the time commitment, it is a great device I hope that helps x
Hi claudia . I just stumbled upon your chabnel. Could tou please let us know the impact of yoga on face fat.i noticed it mived my face fat near my nose and i feel like a bunmp or dent. Very scared .
Hi Somi, I am happy you are here. Honestly I do not think that yoga has any impact of facial fat. If you do face yoga, it can strengthen and stretch the muscles of the face, but I still do not think it will affect facial fat. If you are afraid to lose facial fat, I would stay away from devices giving of a lot of heat, but yoga is not a concern. x
So was she saying ems isn't good? I have both modalities. I feel like something has shifted in my face, but I was also using radio frequency. So I'm not sure which one it was that shifted my facial fat
Hi Danielle, she is saying that EMS has its place, but that it is not used for collagen and elastin stimulation, since it can actually exhaust the cells and deplete ATP.
Hi Claudia, bless you :-) I have a question for you… I am with Curology now and was getting a hydroquinone fade cream for dark spots. But in order for me to continue getting that I would have to switch to their company called agency and it would cost a lot more per month. So I am sticking with Curology. Do you know of a reasonably priced hydroquinone fade cream that gets pretty good results?
Hi Nana, unfortunately I do not know if any hydroquinone cream. since I have never used it. But hopefully some other viewers will see your question and have some suggestions x
The best and most honest RU-vidr, I would like to thank you for raising these topics and for your effort with us. What do you think of the Myolift device from me? I would like to buy it. Have you tried it before?
You are a sweetheart! Thank you for your lovely comment. You know, I used to have the Myolift mini, and while I think it is a good device, I gave mine away because I found it to time consuming. If you do not mind putting in the time, it is a good device, but there are others which take less time, like the Ziip for expample. xx

Hi,Claudia I need something to keep mu jawline tight and neck. I was going to buy a micro currant devise but now i just don't know. I want your advise please. I want to buy and red light therapy light for my body.
Hi Diana, I do think that microcurrent as well as LED are great modalities and both can make a nice difference. But of course at home devices can only do so much, so you might not see as much tightening of the neck and jawline as you would like. Keeping that in mind, I would say if you can afford to buy both, go for it. You will see some subtle or maybe even not so subtle results and LED is also quite versatile as far as being able to use it for pain, injury, hair growth.... I hope this helps, if not, please do not hesitate to ask more questions xx
My face is too full - too plump even if I'm slim, drink lots of water, and am active. What can I do to actually reduce this puffy-type fat? I never used to have this when I was younger.
I would say be glad. As we age, our face gets thinner and thinner, making us look older. But if it is water retention, you could try massage. There are lots of tutorials here on RU-vid on face massage. x
If you haven't already had your "puffy" face medically checked out I would suggest doing so to make sure it's not thyroid related 'moon face' ie: Cushings. Hopefully just puffy :)
Great video! I have a question. What about face yoga causing fat loss? I remember the doctor who founded Adipeau skincare mentioned this. Any thoughts?
Hi Sarah, thank you for being here. That’s a great question and I honestly do not know the answer, but I actually doubt that face yoga works melt facial fat . x

Hi Claudia, thank you for this video, very very helpful and réassurant to continue with microcurrent. What about nanocurrent ZIIP could be use all over the neck over the thyroid too? Thank you I love all your video xoxo 😘
Hi Geani, thank you for your lovely comment. That is a great question, regarding nano current and thyroid. I would say if you have any thyroid concerns, better save then sorry and it might be best to just avoid the thyroid. You could also reach out to Ziip and see what they say. Ckaudia , I would be interested if you would talk about the devices with ionic- or ionic+ effect on skin wellness and face overall health . I just started using one - my very first device.
Claudia, I bought TouchBeuty Cream Booster at a thrift store. It was brand new and unopened package , clearly an older technology, but for $3.95 the risk is low. I started using it last week . The one effect I can say is a plus - the gentle blood circulation it gets going. In your conversation with Clair about devices a wile ago, I took away this point - start with gentle massage and blood flow promotion. I am building the habit of using a skin device.
I get CACIs and they are brilliant. Definitely makes a difference but you do have to keep it up. Doesn’t last a long time but that’s why you need to keep going…. My bf can always tell
