This is great 🙌 I have wanted to try Powerbond, but since only 2 of my clients had the right type of nails for the old formula, I stuck to Tack and Airbond being in Florida. I'm excited to try the new formula!

Great question! Yes that is correct, however, it is important to note that Powerbond is not a soak-off gel, it is a hard gel that needs to be filed off (unlike P+ QDbase)

I am thinking of switching gel lines to light elegance. So far in my cart, I have powerbond, tack, Jimmy gel, and cool gel as it looks like a good consistency and super shiny top coat. Is there anything else I should add before ordering?

Be sure to check out our starter bundle for extra savings! www.lightelegance.com/collections/bundle-up-save It is very important to ensure you have a good quality curing lamp to cure our gels. We would recommend investing in the LED MiniDot to begin if you would like to ensure the best results with our products! Another valuable tip is making sure you use cleanser that does not contain dyes, fragrances or other ingredients that can affect proper adhesion. Can power bond be used under acrylic application ?

We would suggest using VitaPrime or Tack! It is typically not recommend to use a gel under acrylic. You always want to use your hardest layer at the bottom and then apply "softer" more flexible layers over that.

Can i use it over hard gels? Vita prime, then tack, then hard gel, then power bond, then color and super shiny ?

In this case, it seems unnecessary since it is meant to be a Bonding Agent and Base Coat in 1! VitaPrime and Tack would be sufficient under your hard builder gel and if that didn't work for that client, then we would suggest replacing the VP/Tack with Powerbond.

No cleansing needed! After you apply Powerbond and cure, you can go straight in with your ButterCream over top making it super quick and easy ☺

Powerbond was reformulated back in January of this year. Powerbond is now more flexible allowing the ability to work for more nail types. (Applies to bottles with lot #'s of December 2022 and after) ☺

Ok. So I can apply powerbond to fingernails, cure and then straight to buttercream?! Without having to use Jimmy gel to give to build the nail up?

As long as the nail is a short, natural nail length (right at the skin - with no real free edge). If the nails are longer and need structure or an apex, then a builder gel is absolutely needed! This is what makes Powerbond great for toes or quick services with ButterCream on shorties! Please let us know if you have any other questions☺
