I got my first Dyson a couple months ago (V11) and I’m loving it. So much easier to vacuum and cleans better than my cheap regular vacuum. I got the original V11 as I’m only in a 2 bedroom apartment and I felt the outsize was too big for my space

I saved up for, and bought, a v10 a few years ago, and it changed everything for the better! It is simply the best vacuum. EVER. I do live in a condo, so it's the perfect size. I definitely like the idea of the outsize for a larger home.

I started with the Dyson ball, the smaller one. It was wonderful when I had carpet. It wasn’t the best on hard floors. My sister uses it now. My second Dyson is a V6 Animal that I still use for smaller cleaning tasks because it’s nimble. I’ve only replaced the battery and the bin that I cracked. Other than that, it still works without issue. Once I got married, I upgraded to the Dyson V11 Outsize. I adore it! Yes, I adore my vacuum. 😂🤣😆Adding a trigger lock from Amazon really improved the cleaning experience. Additionally, I have purchased several non Dyson attachments that I find very helpful. There are so many out there!!🙌🏾

My stick Dyson vacuum is my life! If it breaks, I will do anything (going into savings, taking out a loan, crowdfunding) to get a new one! I have arthritis in my arms and fingers (at 26, lucky me) and chronic back pain - this vacuum has brought back the joy in vacuuming. My mom and grandma got their own Dysons as Christmas presents from me and adore them too! My sister still does not know but this will be my plan B for her wedding present!

I still use an Electrolux canister, from the 70's, for my hardwood floors and tile areas. With the wand, it still works wonderfully and by turning over the wand head, you can vacuum the rugs. Add the upholstery attachment and it will handle the furniture, lamp shades and baseboards with an adjustable suction control. Stick the hose in the top of the canister and it becomes a blower for those high up cob webs. The power nozzle is still a beast for carpet. They just don't make things like they used to! However, having a cordless vacuum would be nice.

I never had cordless until I started watching CMS videos and splurged on a dyson v10 (😆). I love the charging station and all the attachments, not to mention the convenience of not having a cord following me around the house. I've never had an issue with losing power mid-vac. I don't have a whole lot of space so the v10 more than meets my needs.

Have a central vac, and hated lugging around the hose to different floors. Considered adding a cordless such as Dyson for the daily cleanup. For around the same cost as that Dyson, decided to retrofit with a retractable hose system for the central vac. Just as fast as using a cordless, but no worries about batteries, an additional canister to empty, additional weight etc.

I have the same setup. I have standard central vac inlets throughout my house but also a Hide a Hose outlet on the main level of my home. It's so much nicer than having to wrap up a long hose when you're done cleaning. That being said, I still use my Dyson V11 Torque Drive several times a week.

I bought an upright Dyson DC15 Animal nearly 15 years ago and it's still going. I love the machine. I'm now tempted to get the V11 just because I would be able to get into tight places with it and not have to drag a big vacuum out. I've never lifted one and its weight might be an issue because of lifting restrictions.

I have the Dyson V6 and love it. Because I have a cat and half my house is carpet and the other half is linoleum I vacuum almost daily but it's an easy quick task. I had an upright (corded) before and it was an absolute pain to bring it out to use and I had to plug it in 4 different places just to vacuum my entire home which is under 1,000 square feet. The Dyson V11 Outsize would be to big for my space; the head on the V6 fits easily between the wall and toilet to vacuum the floor.

Were you able to completely stop using your corded vacuum once getting your Dyson? I have 2 cats, and for me to be happy with my floors I’d have to vacuum everyday. I got a $150 cordless vac off Amazon, but it’s no match for my corded vacuum. I use the corded vac once a week and the cordless vac daily as a quick spot treatment to keep up with kitty litter and cat hair. I’m hoping in getting a Dyson, I will no longer need the corded vac, but am hesitant since seeing the cordless vac I have now be nothing more than a glorified dust buster. Is a Dyson really as good as a corded vac?

I've tried them all including a central vacumm. So far I love my outsize the best. It is just quicker to clean with. One of the downsides to it it is heavy and awkward to use when cleaning certain places like windows and base boards. Also the suction is incredible which makes it hard to vaccum my bath mats even on the lowest setting. My house has all floors we do have large rugs and mats.

I may buy it for her for a Christmas present. We also have the V7 and a corded vac. I find myself using the Dyson almost exclusively. Easier to use and more convenient. Thanks for the review/ comoarison. I use it every day, and truly only need the battery to last a good 20 to 30minutes, mine lasts about 45 minutes so I have been looking at Dyson once mine dies, but the prices are so much higher. I will continue to review others, but I agree with a comment, Who needs to be vacuuming for longer than 30 minutes, not me. I recently got the purple V11 Animal (note: NOT made specifically for animal hair). I started fostering two senior cats and needed to upgrade from my 30+ year old Electrolux canister vac. I loved it. It still worked perfectly... BUT it was cumbersome, hard to store and setup every time you used it. I am now on the hunt for anything that is easier to use when you have arthritis. The V11 is almost as good at sucking up everything in sight except for edge cleaning with the main vac. That's so-so. The weight of the motor being in the handle is not ideal but it's alright if I don't have to vacuum large carpeted areas. Luckily, I don't have a large home. The weight would likely be a deal breaker for me and my hand arthritis.

Unpopular opinion but I'm not into Dyson. My friends think I'm nuts because they love theirs but I LOVE my Miele bagless corded, it's so freaking powerful and takes me no time to vacuum the cat hair from the carpeted areas. I just leave a 3m extension plugged in to its cord so I never have to change outlets. I had a hand held Dyson and rarely used it, it was great for the couches but I found it overpriced for just doing that and it stopped working after about two years and couldn't be repaired.

@@merinmathew6211 no worries, I went back and forth trying to decide between the bagless and the bagged version because I saw some criticism about the catch on the bagless reviews . I see the Outsize reviewed here does not have the fluffy optic cleaner head. When I bought my Outsize a year and a half ago it included the fluffy optic cleaner head with the green light. Love that thing and it's the best tool to have. I see now it isn't included so be wary of that when buying. In my opinion, that tool is a MUST have so make sure it is included before making your purchase.

i still prefer the v11 normal. i tend to use it mainly hand held anyway. i hoover as i go along cleaning and I think the outsize would be too heavy.

I have a V11 animal. Stick all the way and....it’s not really anything for me to dump the canister. It beats my old Dyson by about 18 lbs.

What is your opinion on a steam cleaner and wet/dry vacuum combo, like the Vapor Clean Desiderio Plus? I've used a Mcculloch/Steamfast in combo with a shop vac, but the Desiderio looks cooler!?

Im in the UK, our houses r a lot smaller. I have the V6. It can more than clean my whole house in 1 go. It was expensive when i bought it at £300. However if ur on a cleaning spree and want to hoover (what we call it in the UK) ur cloth sofa, the whole house and ur car all in 1 day u definately need a corded hoover. I would love 1 of the higher up models of the dyson cordless but the price is just unreal and i could never justify that sort of money for it.

Still have an upright Dyson Animal from about 1990 which still works for those jobs that don't require much finesse, but replaced it a couple of years ago with a 'pull along' Meile which works great but drives me nuts dragging it around. Upright corded and bagless will win every time.

The stick vac idea is good because electricity rates are increasing everywhere. May be better to recharge then vacuum.

I have a smaller capacity Dyson stick vac, which I love except the run time, the battery dies before I can do the whole house. We went with a smaller size due to price point. So hope much does the latest and greatest cost? I'm in the US btw😄

Not having a Swappable battery was the biggest issue with dyson vacuums in my opinion. Hopefully they add this feature to all their vacuums.

I like the benefits of outsize but wish the floor head was interchangeable as well. I think the larger head will be tricky in my small apartment but I need that interchangeable battery too.

I loved my v10 but the canister broke so when I called the store I bought my Dyson at they told me to bring it in and get a new one. They did not have any Dyson v10s but they had the new V11 outsized. My only complaint about the V10 was battery life and smaller bin and with the new upgrade they took care of that issue. I have never even used the separate battery but I do like the fact that it is there incase I need it but really the only complaint about the outsize is that it is a bit big and heavier than my V10.

Hi there! I love your channel and your tips. I’m always learning with you. I’m a professional cleaner and work everyday, so you think this is a good vacuum for my work every day? I have a shark duo clean professional and every 4 months I have to buy a new tool because it damaged a lot. As I tell you I work everyday with cleaning. And I didn’t buy yet one dyson cordless yet because the batteries, since they have now 2 and works for 60 minutes now I’m almost buying one, but I just one know if they will need a maintenance as my shark needed. Every time this tool cost 116usd.

I love the Dyson shirt - it looks very cute tied like that. :) I have a Dyson DC14 Animal upright (plug-in) vacuum that I bought at Target in 2005 for $549. To this day, it's still going strong and is my go-to. I purchased a Dyson V7 Trigger vac (hand-held, cordless) a couple of years ago, which is a nice companion if I just need to do something quick, or when I want to vacuum my car. I think that the smaller V11 might be sufficient for my house since it's 2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom, and I might get something like that if my upright konks out on me. But the Ball Animal 2 (the current offering most similar to what I have now) is on sale for only $400 on the Dyson website right now. And their canister vacuum is also on sale for $400 right now. The V11 outsize is $800. I think I'd rather have the upright than the big stick vacuum. I definitely would not spend twice as much to get a battery-powered stick vacuum. I think the stick vacuum only really makes sense if you have a smaller place; if you are looking at the bigger stick vacuum you might as well just get an upright plug-in. I definitely have been converted to Dyson, though.

Also since I have a small house, I only need to plug in the upright in one place. From the hall, the cord is long enough to reach everywhere without moving it. :)

Thank you for your detailed video reviews. I'm interested in purchasing the V11 outsize, but I don't know if it will function well on soft or high pile carpets... will you be able to comment on this? Thank you!

Well, I am so sorry to say this, but I have that model. I loved it and couldn't wait to use it the first time on our new hardwood floors. I've had it for 6 months. For the first month or so, it was great. The battery lasted for the amount of time they said it would. I always drain it before recharging the battery, but now, I only get about 15-18 minutes out of the charge. Maybe I need a new battery??? I really want to love it again. Any ideas?

I have all the Dyson models XD Seriously I have a collection of them, I make videos of them too, the best upright IMO is the DC17 or the newer Dyson ball the best cordless is the newer ones I'm not a fan of Dyson's canister vacs though

Central vac isn’t very popular here in Australia. I have one of each of the vacuum types in my house, other than central vac. I have a Shark (2013) for my carpets as it is the best for cat hair, a Dyson D08 Turbine barrel (2002) for hard floors and a Dyson DC 44 Animal ( 2017) cordless for quick clean ups.

I love my dyson V-11 animal that I just bought. One question, how much heavier is the new oversize dyson? My wrists hurt vacuuming the corners of my ceilings now, can't imagine a bigger vacuum to do that with.
