Hi, There’s nothing serious with respect to the verification. It’s just a physical sighting of the documents, nothing more. Unfortunately, I don’t have an idea of how that’d be done virtually. My advise is keep your documents near you during the interview and have scanned copies of them in case you are supposed to send it to your interviewer.
Hello Akin Thanks for the video,I’m having difficulty verifying my NIN,Clicking on Verify tab but I seem not to understand….It’s not verying. What would you have me to do .Thanks
Hi, A couple of persons have reached out saying they have similar issues. What you can do is to cross check the fields you entered. Check that the digits tally and your names are arranged in similar order with what you have on your NIN slip. You should be able to verify once you’ve done that.
I got the scholarship, Please do I update my personal information, fill the bond letter and Award/POF letters and leave out course information first? since I haven't secured admission
Congratulations Ifee. Could you please help me with some tips on how to ace this interview? I was shortlisted for an interview. I will also appreciate if you can suggest the best way to answer “Why PTDF?”
@@AkinOmotesho Okay. Also I noticed you took a Klm flight to travel in your previous video. Did you need a transit visa at Amsterdam and if so how did you go about it. Also, are we allowed to make request as to which airline we prefer or they book which ever airline is available.
Hi Akin. Thank you for the rich content on your channel. I intend to apply for a PhD programme, but my master's research publications are not related to oil and gas exploration. What will be your advice? I know you made mentioned it not being weighty, however, I want to believe what you said was only applicable to a master's programme. In addition to this, please I do not have a certificate for the research bodies I belong to but only the membership number. Would this number be sufficient for the application?
Good afternoon Akin, you mention you chose Robert Gordon University and you were able to change your course later, but i noticed from your linkedin profile and your entry video, you mentioned you attended University at Strathclyde, but help me clarify this. Thank you
Thanks for the advice but took your advice and bought a scratch card online, no provision for attachment, I practically wasted money in this Nigerian economy.
Thanks for sharing Akin. Mind sharing more light? 1. So does this scholarship require you to agree to come back to Nigeria after studying? 2. So its clear that you can apply to the scholarship without getting admission to the desired school and course yet, but can you defer the scholarship if selected this year to next year? Or a case of deferral where the class is full for the September intake but not admitted for the coming session?
Thank you Akinzo for this insightful briefing. This is an amazing conincidence for me, as I was going through LinkedIn I just stumbled on your page and I must say this is an answer coming through, as I have been wanting to know someone who has obtained a fully funded Masters scholarship as an accounting graduate . I would like to keep touch base. I'll reach out in your mailbox. Thanks Akin.
Hello. Do you by any chance know what it means when you try to login to your PTDF portal and it says “Application Account Is Locked”? Does this necessarily mean a disqualification or we should be patient for PTDF to upload a list?
Hi Mary, If you submitted your application before the deadline, there’s nothing to worry. It just might mean that you are unable to make changes on your application. Please be patient for further updates from PTDF either in terms of interview dates ( which you’d get by email) or release of scholars that have been awarded the scholarship. I don’t think it means automatic disqualification.
Hi. Thank you for this video. During the interview, is it important to show up with the ORIGINAL hard copies of our documents or we could come with photocopies. Please advice.
@Mary Nwani Hi, I’d advise you come to the interview with the original hard copies, if available. The documents are only for sighting, so it’s safe. Some interviewers might request for it, while some would not. You don’t want to be at the interview and you don’t have the original copies when they are being requested for.
Hello, thanks for this information. I'm currently trying to apply for MSc Finance but I cannot find Finance on the PTDF portal, all I see are engineering courses. Please, how do I go about it. Thanks for the prompt response.
Hi Elizabeth, As mentioned in the video, not all courses are on the drop down menu while you are applying for the PTDF scholarship. Kindly pick the one closest to what you intend studying. After you’ve been awarded the scholarship, you will be able to change to your desired course. Pending when you’d be able to do that, you can start applying to PTDF approved schools for your desired course.
@@AkinOmotesho Hello Akin, Please if I understand you correctly, are you saying one can apply to related courses not chosen as long as it's an approved school? Also what's their timeline like, after submission what month do they usually call for interview. Thank you in advance
Hi, No, the scholarship does not include your dependents. You’d have to foot the bill of every of your dependent. However, you’d be able to liaise with PTDF’s visa agent to assist you in getting the visa for your dependents.
Okay, thank you. I just wanted to be sure I can take my partner along. I'll definitely foot the bill of my dependant. Just wanted to be sure they can allow me to take my partner along. @@AkinOmotesho
