I think they made the right call making quidditch a standalone game separate from Hogwarts Legacy because it gave Avalanche Software the chance to focus all their efforts and resources on the open world and spell casting system 👏
Looking forward to this one, my only remaining concern is how online play will fair for us Aussies, not usual we sometimes get a bit of a shafted experience depending on how this particular title might handle online, at least crossplay is a big boon for player pools
So uh how does one see the hero skin of Sebastian and his wand ? I'm on hogwarts legacy rn trying to work out how to find it plus the game came out for me already
It depends for me on the snitch mechanics: Can I catch it more than once? How do I start the chase? How long does it take? In soloplay I play to try everything, tend to chaser/seeker right now because of the theoretical impact of catching the snitch, but I would be more interested in beater and keeper tbh
I'd imagine that as a seeker you can probably do something to find the snitch e.g flying through rings to build a bar up. And then once you catch it it resets and you do it again
People call the old snitch rules broken but remember, in the movies and books, the snitch is insanely hard to catch. It's just much easier to catch in the old games because it wouldn't be fun to spend hours and hours trying to catch the snitch.
Its not easy to catch the Snitch. I Play seeker very often and the enemy team allways is allways aware and trys to hit me while my team does not care at all
@@the1andonly975 to be fair, quidditch is a complex sport and getting it right in a video game is not an easy task I believe. But at the same time, your own team should act like a team to make it feel balanced and fun.
Yeah, I was about to purchase the game but I heard is a online game to play the game with the Internet without Internet you can’t play that is the big problem.
I assume in all modes there are still 7v7 in total, but players can fill up only 3 of team, right? Secondly, do you know if in PvP mode i can play with my 2 friends against other team?
Yes correct, there will be 3 players on each team and the rest will be bots to make up the 7 on your team. I don't know if you will be able to verse your friends as the modes it states are Singleplayer, Co-Op and Online PVP. For the PVP it just states its 3v3 with the bots taking over whatever you are not playing as to make up the 7 on your team.
@@ThatAussieBrit19 thanks mate, in the meantime I asked about it on their discord. It'll be 6v6 in total, there will be one beater to balance the gameplay
Im ready 1 hour and 36 more min to go also i like the snitch change the lore for the snitch always felt wrong for a sport why make it a competive game if however gets the snitch makes there team win it was to speed up the game to get to the main story now 30 points and constant grabbing of the snitch makes sense to me for a competive sport make it to 100 points first then you win regardless of instant loss do to player grabbing a snitch most people would get extremely mad at thish in a online game if they lost all becuse they couldent grab the snitch thish is fair and seems more fun then the orginal game
@@ThatAussieBrit19What I'm saying is is why can't there be seven players actual human beards playing as seven members no bots. And it's 150 points to win
@@jetnight88the lore for Harry potter snitch doesn't make sense for a compitve game even if you were to score 150 points you would still ultimately loose if you were trying to win becuse the other team got it ending the game you know how many people would get pissed at thish in online play having the snitch be 30 min and a time based version of it makes more sense for a actual sport now it will be fair for all players regardless if you grab that snitch it can be re grabbed in till the game ends i think thish was a smart decision to keep it competitive insted of no matter how gets the snitch you win regardless of effort acculy sit back and think of how pissed youll be if you scored more then your opponent just for them to ultimatly win cause they got the snitch its fair now and would have been bettet lore wise it was made that way so the movie can get onto its orginal plot
Well, for one... Whoever is the seeker would be bored to death because the snitch has to show up first and it takes 1-2 minutes For another, while somebody has the quaffle, you can play your alternate role (beater/keeper). It works.
One thing everyone should now: the PVP online mode IS NOT exactly 3vs3, it’s 6vs6 BUT it’s 3 players+3 bots vs 3players+3 bots which was introduced in the last test phase and everyone hated it. They said that the 6vs6 will be introduced later in the year but people are reluctant. If you’re interested in just playing the Single Player Mode, buy it. If you’re buying it to play competitive online, you better way a little longer.
you should know damn well legacy isn't designed to be a pvp competitive game, a dedicated quidditch game is better and can compete with games like rocket league in that way, quidditch shouldn't be a side thing to a story mode game, think smart next time
@@Timayy i guess they went with this because they wanted the older consoles like the switch and ps4 to be able to play this game, the game doesn’t look bad but people want it to look better or as good as legacy, they have to understand that legacy had a very high budget, it was a rpg story mode game, designed for single player and quality so movement was stiff, quidditch is a pvp multiplayer fast paced game so quality cant be as good as legacy, though this game could have looked a lot better if they didnt want to release it on older consoles, people have to be grateful for this game, it looks good to me, they went for gameplay over quality with this game which is ok, rocket league doesnt look better than this game either
i was excited until they made it 3v3 and have you control 2 players. 5v5 was perfect, who tf woke up one day and just said "yeah no, 3v3 will be it"? jeez.
