hi ! thank you for shooting this video, i want to buy one ngoni recently , and the second one that made of wood , could you share what brand is it with me ? thank you so much!
Hey Fina, thanks for the guidance. Im finding it quite a challenge to chouse the type of ngoni to expand into :) so this has helped a lot thank you. You mentioned a list of makers from around the world, would it be possible to get access to it please? Bright blessings, Neil
Thank you verymuch for this video. Im thinkin about buying a small travelling ngoni what do you think about those? And can you recommend a good platform with tutorials or maybe will you start uploading tutorials yourself one day:)? Bless you
Hi Danish. I think the small traveling Ngonis are great, they're light and easy to care for. How many strings are you thinking of getting? I do one on one Ngoni mentorships if you're interested to learn with me... but soon I'm hoping to release some video lessons too. Email me at fina.ahimsa@gmail.com
initche! i think you flopped the mali and burkina regarding where the fat (juruba) string starts. In mali, it's typically on the right unless you have it specifically built to be on the left....mamadou sidibe plays that way as well as yourself and myself too!
ohh damn, yess i totally flopped that one. thanks for pointing that out Josh, anithce! Will make a note explaining this little mistake. And to this day, I still don't understand why there are 2 different versions of Ngoni lol.
When the burkinabe started playing and constructing n’goni they adapted repertoire and tuning from their Bobo balafon. The keys on those balas are typically low to high starting on the left as well.
